The company is highly recommended — they towed our truck and trailer,dropped the units exactly as instructed. They sent pictures after the job was done. Fast and reliable service.
Horrible customer service, the lady on the phone managed to give me the correct address but failed to mention until I got to the lot and called again that they weren’t even open yet despite answering my original call before 9am. So I get to the lot 20 mins early and I wait til open except they can’t even be bothered to open their doors on time. We weren’t let into the office until 9:09 where I hear some excuse about having 2 different lots to open. Sounds like yall need to hire more people. Oh and can’t forget about the 5% card fee that was not once mentioned to me during any of my calls in. I could’ve put that 20 minutes to use in going to the ATM.
A Metro Tow Driver attempted to run me off the road on i264 east 8/18/2025 @ 2pm. They continued to drive aggressively and swerve around the road. I followed them off the exit ramp and the driver stopped his truck and jumped out threatening me. I called the company to report the incident but the woman who answered the phone did not seem to take the matter seriously. Ridiculous, dangerous and unprofessional behavior.
When you have one address listed on Google for your business, it would probably be a benefit to the so-called customer to let them know where the item is located when you communicate with them about the pick up of property. I helped out a friend yesterday to pick up a trailer you had towed of his and in the 4 conversations that we had with your company to find out what we needed to do, cost, hours of pick up etc., not once was an address mentioned that was different from Cleveland Street that is on your site. Left work to help him out, and it takes me 1:45 minutes to be able to pick it up! Do better!
These guys broke into my tractor and towed it to there junkyard (glass, trash , junk cars ) everywhere on June 20,2025 . Which I don’t get because I parked my truck at that spot for many years after I’m done with work no problem I guess these guys had nothing else better to do . But to break into someone private property and tow something away with no key and no permission by me which could seriously damage my business. I tried to explain that to the people that was there but they just looked at me like I was crazy and demanded money to get my truck back . Maybe they use that attitude with me because I was (Black) but once I paid I just got outta there . But for future customers please do no do business with these people there NASTY AND DIRTY
My Ford F-350 7.3 diesel Service truck started spraying diesel (blown fuel line).
Pulled off Viginia Beach Blvd and called Metro to tow my truck. Dispatch said someone would be with me shortly. I neglected to tell dispatch that I would prefer a rollback.
Driver (John) arrived and immediatly went to work. John was extremely careful hooking my truck. Since the fuel tank is there, a backup alarm and trailer plug in the way John used his professionalism and experience to ensure no damage to my truck. Dropped it in front of my home making sure to get it as close as possible to the curb.
Thank you Metro and John for taking for such great care and a timely tow. I thought the price was a little high for a two mile tow but, it was worth the money.
Rude and not helpful at all, they charge $60 a day for your vehicle to sit in their yard yet online it says only $30. Non reliable, just money hungry. Would highly highly suggest using someone else
The tow truck driver decided to try to run me off the road on an on-ramp because he didn't want to file in behind me. Wanted to get up front then flick me off and then continue to go 7580 down interstate once he got on weaving in and out of traffic. If that's a type of tow truck driver you want to have your car towed by then good luck
Went through my roadside assistance and this is the company that was originally supposed to come out to jump start my car. I provided that I was at the airport the tow driving called me later and asked me where I was and I told him i was in the parking garage. His response was I can't go in there, I will have to call dispatch. Minutes later I get a call from my roadside assistance company saying the company said they could not locate my car. They not only lied ,but couldn't even give me the courtesy of saying hey unfortunately we can not service the call.
Today like every time I’ve needed them Metro saved the day. From the friendly young lady who answers the phone (who I believe owns the company) to the knowledgeable and kind driver it was a professional experience. Thank y’all!!
Had Metro come and tow my classic car and drop it off in a tight spot. Brian was a great driver, very professional and quick getting to me. I would highly recommend Metro I have used them several times. Great job!!!
Omg! talk about a light during the storm. The operator lady was very professional and informative and immediately got us connected with a driver. We didn’t even wait very long maybe 30mins MAX! Brian arrived and was amazing. He treated the car and us with a lot of respect and was an awesome person in general. Will 100% use them in the future if I ever need it.
My apartment complex utilizes Metro for towing as we have very limited parking. I work 2 jobs and after a 16 hour work day came home to an unknown vehicle parked in my spot. This vehicle has been parking in residential spots for a week now. My neighbors have contacted Metro towing multiple times and have been told the tow truck’s tire was flat or just never heard back. Tonight I contacted them after my 16 hour work day for assistance and was told by the lady that somebody could come out in 90 minutes and the tow truck driver would call. It’s been over 2 hours, I called at 10:50pm and it is now 2am, and we have not heard anything. So I had to park my vehicle streets away and literally walk to my apartment with my 2 year old because my spot is taken. I don’t expect much from the tow truck companies but this is unacceptable and I will be filing a complaint with my leasing office and the better business bureau.
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. They are not trustworthy.
Yesterday, I had an extremely unpleasant experience with my family at Chicks Beach/Virginia Beach due to unclear parking signage. When I arrived at my car, it was partly on the ground, being loaded onto a tow truck. I politely requested the driver to release the car since I was there, but he refused. While I was speaking with a police officer, he fully loaded my car onto the tow truck.
I asked him again to drop my car, but he refused and demanded the full towing fee of $200 in cash. I explained that I didn't have that amount in cash, and he then threatened to move my car to the towing yard. Eventually, he accepted a debit card, but his approach was unprofessional, unhelpful, and disrespectful, all while my kids were watching. He offered almost no communication.
The $200 fee for dropping the car is excessive, especially since it wasn't fully loaded when I arrived. People work hard for their money, and such fees feel unjustified.
When I contacted the company, the lady on the phone clearly stated that she did not believe me. It seems impossible to resolve any problem with such a firm. STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
I didn't actually use the service for anything but I just wanted to take a second to give a shout out to Anthony for going out of his way to help me change a tire. He made my bad day a little easier to deal with. It's nice knowing that there is still kindness left in the world.
My truck got towed here after an accident. When going to collect my belongings, Becca was so kind and helpful. She could see I was bummed about the total loss so she was very positive & uplifting, I left feeling a little better. I really appreciate that!
We had a most unfortunate incident breaking down in our RV in Virginia Beach. Our roadside assistance program couldn't get a tow truck for 3 hours. A most helpful police officer contacted Metro towing for us and they arrived within minutes. John hooked us up and as he started towing us to a service center our dually wheel shaft started coming out. John quickly stopped and was able to shove the wheel shaft back in and turned the truck to tow us with wheels off the ground. His quick action got us safely to the service center with no further damage. The terrible situation was made a little better by his expertise. Thanks John!
My car broke down on the way to take my daughter to school. Metro towing was the first company I called they had a great reasonable price and told me my driver would be there within 45 minutes to an hour. Brian was our driver and showed up exactly in 45 minutes and got us home in no time. Very professional fast and caused friendly.
Rude and unprofessional customer service hope nobody has to deal with this highway robbery business they sold my vehicle and now expect me to pay $995.00 for what?? It’s businesses like this who are able to keep their doors open for reasons like this they had no intention on waiting until I could pick up my car they took it upon themselves to sell it or at least that’s what Jenny said they probably fixed it and then sold it to someone else who worked for them the motor and transmission was in excellent condition brand new tires new ac compressor new battery new radiator the car was not totaled like she tried to say I’m contacting better business bureau to have them investigated when placing a lien on a title it’s usually the sellers responsibility to pay the lien off at the time of closing the deal so you can eat the $995 that’s your own money so don’t expect that to be paid back to you twice! But you will still be getting investigated for fraudulent claims and activity
Never used this company and never will. I made a turn onto south plaza road, at 535 on Thursday, April 20th, which is a 25 mph, residentiae. Had plenty of clear space from traffic. The metro tow truck driver, plate #4418, came up going so fast I was afraid he was going to rear-end me. As I was going the speed limit, much too slow for him apparently, he switched into the left lane, which is a turning lane once it meets Holland. There was a vehicle about 30 yards ahead of us, crossing over south plaza and the truck driver was going so fast he nearly t-boned that vehicle. In order to avoid hitting that vehicle, the truck switched back into my lane, making me slam on my brakes, throwing everything in my passenger seat to the floor. Mind you, I'm going 25, so you can imagine how close he cut me off that I had to hit my brakes so hard in order to have the items on my seat fall to the floor board. Then, on Holland, in 5:30 traffic, he's still speeding but closer to the flow of traffic, but in a lane that is backing up ahead. He cuts me off again in order to rear-ending the line of traffic ahead of him. Then proceeds to cut across three lanes of traffic, all while not hitting his brakes once. I called metro to let them know of the reckless driver and the lady that answered said she would talk to the driver but did not seen at all concerned about the lives he had put in danger. I tried to express the seriousness of his reckless driving and she brushed it off with an, 'I'll talk to him', before hanging up on me. I understand that not everyone is a perfect driver and sometimes people are in a rush. However, when you are operating a long bed tow truck that doesn't stop on a dime, you should be capable of driving at a safe speed so that you can stop with enough space, especially if you are in rush hour traffic, to avoid being a danger those around. I have both front and rear cameras on my vehicle that captured the entire encounter and will be providing both videos to law enforcement. This is not something I've ever done so I hope it speaks to the severity of his reckless driving. Hopefully, the owner of Metro, if not the driver himself, will see this post and remove the driver from operating a truck under his business name again. Huge liability issue that needs to be addressed with swift severity.
Highly recommend! Jenny was an absolute pleasure to deal with - friendly, prompt, and professional. My experience was business to business and Metro rocked it. Please don't let the negative reviews from repo's and parking violators sway your choice when choosing a tow service.
The drivers were very nice, always on time, took time to listen to what I was saying. One of the drivers put air in my tire and followed me to the tire place just to make sure I got there safe. Thank you so much for having kind gentlemen drivers. I will never use anyone else. You will have my business and I will pass the word to all my coworkers. Thank you again. Awesome
In town from Texas and had to get my son's car towed...twice. Both times, the drivers were punctual, extremely cordial and professional. Hopefully, I don't need another tow but if I do I will definitely call Metro!
Metro showed up about 15 minutes after I called, and were very efficient and nice! Very impressed with the guy that towed the vehicle! Definitely will use again, if needed!!
My Hyundai Veloster has a very low stock ride height, and the front bumper is prone to expensive damage when being winched onto a flatbed. most tow companies these days dont seem to care, but my guy from Metro Towing did it the right way (seriously, THANK YOU!). he took the time to place some wood planks under the tires to reduce the angle and prevent damage. I definitely appreciate that Metro takes the same care with my car as i do when i work on it. fast, friendly, professional, and careful. these are definitely my go-to guys when i need a tow.
My family recently had a bad experience with a ditch on West Neck Rd. Metro was called and did an efficient and professional job. Frank handled the towing and Anthony helped at the lot on Saturday to check the car and retrieve our belongings. Both of these guys were great. Thanks so much
Super friendly, courteous, and professional when they were at the crash site of my vehicle. Made it to the impound lot and was able to gain immediate access to my vehicle to remove personal effects. Everyone involved was extremely helpful in this very disastrous time.
