James was very responsive when I called on Sunday stranded . He helped me find a tow company so I could get my jeep to his garage. He diagnosed my issue the following work day. He was highly recommend to me from friends in Exmore. I will be giving him my buissiness going forward. I live in Virginia Beach. But will be crossing the bridge for my auto needs going forward. His service and communication meant alot.
I am thrilled to leave a 5-star review for James Tittermary and his auto shop! In July 2025, we were visiting from out of state and my car died suddenly. We towed it to Tittermary Auto and they quickly diagnosed it as a bad alternator. They fixed it the same day! I am so thanful for James and his team, I was able to safely drive my family home and haven't had any issues since!
James and company are great people who go above and beyond to help others in need. My family and I were in a tough spot and they all did so much to help us when we were down and out. We wouldn’t have ever met if it wasn’t for what happened to us, so I’m thankful we were put in the right place at the right time. While heading to SC, I received a low tire pressure message and pulled into Tittermary Auto. The mechanic said the shop was busy (it was), but he would look at my tire. Turns out my tire had a huge slash in it and was beyond repair. He didn't have my tire in his shop but took the time to call around to find one. Not only did he find one, he drove to a different town to pick it up. I am so grateful for his assistance. If I lived in the area, this would be my auto mechanic shop. Thank you again.
You all need to fix peoples vehicles the correct way and NOT break their park brake. STOP super tightening their park brake cable that messes up their tire. You COST people unnecessary money. STOP mistreating and getting over on old people, NO good is going happen to you.
You don’t need to know who I am. No reputation or business is trying to be hurt when it is FACTS. Why would a customer want to come back to a business that did the work incorrectly the first time, when the work needed to have been done correctly the first time. The customer wouldn’t, because of no trust in getting the repair done correctly period and any type of verbal problems.
This is my go to place for my car when I'm on the ESVA. They make things easy for me to schedule..I feel like their services are reliable, fast and fairly priced. I've been a customer for about five years now. I don't expect small talk or a lot of frills like at the dealership here, but not going there for coffee and conversation! I appreciate their servicing my car!

My alternator died on my way home from camping. I was still three hours stranded in a minimart. Tittermary ordered the alternator, came to me to get my truck started, brought me back to the shop including my trailer. He quickly changed out the alternator and charged me for parts plus one hour labor. We are so lucky there are nice people around like Kerry.
Had a flat coming home from Silver Beach. Tittermary Automotive took me right away, plugged my tire with zero hassle. I appreciate the great service. I highly recommend.

Not a long wait and my auto inspection was complete. The gentleman saw a problem with the gas cap, so i am now waiting for service because i need gas ⛽ i am handycapped and was treated well.
We were traveling North and heard something change in our front, drivers side wheel area. We pulled into the shop, they found the problem, fixed it, didn't over charge us and got us back on the road within an hour. Excellent friendly and knowlegable service! Thanks guys!
