Extremely unprofessional! Kevin from American Pride called Cousin Towing for me and said the tow from Newport to Williamsburg should be around $100–$150. When I spoke with the lady there, she quoted $225. I explained what Kevin told me and that I couldn’t afford that much—then a man in the background yelled, “Then you can’t afford to get your truck fixed then!” and hung up on me.
I’m a business owner in Newport News and a retired Navy veteran of 20 years, and I will not recommend this company to anyone. No customer deserves to be treated that way.
I needed a truck picked up from our lot to go to a mechanic, they stated they can only take payment in person at the time of pickup. Offered to pre-pay via an invoice or card and they don’t offer that. They need to definitely get with times or make a payment solution for company who has used them for 8+ years. Will have to look elsewhere for someone that can meet our needs. They were great in the past but maybe something changed.

Very unprofessional. Flat out lying on multiple occasions. Kept giving false updates, even said they were on site, but never showed up. I waited 3.5 hrs for them just to keep being lied to. Do not recommend.
So… my Tesla died with 41% battery left and no one could tow it, but Cousins! So grateful for the professionalism, skill, and kindness shown! If I’m ever in the area again, I’d use them!

They got me off of the side of the road in less than 15 minutes, I had a professional driver and good conversation for what had been a rough morning. I would recommend them to anybody needing their services!
If I could go back in time I would prevent myself from EVER going here, I took in my vehicle to get a few things fixed, on top of it being WAY too expensive compared to other businesses (for b.s. “fees”) when I got my vehicle back the fluids that were in my trunk (my engine oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, steering fluid, etc.) along with a few of my personal items were stolen from my vehicle, DO NOT GO HERE!!!
do not go here. my boyfriend recently needed a bar replacement for his tire and they overcharged him by 400$. labor shouldnt be that high whatsoever. they also decided to steal his car fluids that he had in the back trunk and rummage in his belongings in the front console. this is not a good place to get your car inspected because they will take advantage of you. they think just because its a mom and pops establishment that im not gonna find a way to send the review but i will. everyone in newport news needs to know not to go here. i shouldnt have to call the office just for them to tell me to call back in the morning?? thats ridiculous. dont steal peoples things.

Cousins towing could not have been more respectful or professional in the situation we were in. They helped us take care of my dad’s old junker of a car. It was worth nothing to my sister and I but to dad it was his freedom. We called them and asked them if they could send a tow truck and take it. We set up a time for the following morning and they showed up exactly on time. The driver gave us his condolences on our loss. They helped us through a tough situation. A special thanks to the driver who was very kind, unfortunately I forgot his name, but the car what the white infinity.
William was the technician who was sent out to house on two separate occasions (on a military base) and he was professional, courteous, and quick. I’ve saved their number and they will be the towing company I use and recommend.
Cousin’s Towing was a life and time saver last Sunday. The driver Russell arrived at pickup site ahead of me (surprise) and was ready to maneuver the beast into a tight spot to collect my car. He is very skillful driver and most of all he had a super personality. Even my granddaughter liked him.

Our son was in an accident on I64 near Newport News. The State Police contacted Cousins to tow off the interstate. I can't speak highly enough about their service. I went there that Sunday the accident happened and the driver was so helpful and accommodating. Our insurance company totaled the vehicle and I went back today to retrieve the license plates and car contents. Again, all of the staff was super helpful and I even saw the original driver who remembered my name. Top notch service! Thanks
Needed my car jumped and Lorraine Woods (that’s what the called id said when he called)was very nice and cordial. He drove up on the curb to be able to reach my car with his cables and gave me advice about battery and alternator. Came out late even though he’d been off work for a few hours already. Appreciate his service very much!
I had the pleasure of interacting with Russel from cousins towing and recovery. He was very courtesy, professional and personable and I would like to commend him for his work ethic! We had some great conversation while In route to Casey BMW and I had a pleasant experience from start to finish!
Never again. Gave them my eclipse and they had my car for months with no update, paid $1k and was told my problem was fixed and “all I needed was an alignment” come to find out they barely even did any work and the vehicle actually had frame damage. Asked for an invoice or some type of paperwork to get some insight, and was told “our systems are down” or “we don’t have the staff right now” I have since sold the car but would’ve saved a lot more time and money had this company just been upfront and transparent with their customers and not prioritize profit over integrity .
Jedidiah (Jet) was awesome and friendly. He had no problem maneuvering the tow truck in our court along side a garbage truck. He made sure to place our vehicle where we wanted and worked very quickly. He couldn’t have been at our home for more than 5 minutes. Thank you, Cousins!
Took about an hour to get a truck to my location, I'm not sure if that's a reasonable response time - I don't know what else they were doing when I called them, and beggars can't be choosers, I guess. The driver was a pleasant fellow and knew what he was doing. The cost was $95.
Nothing but great things to say about this place. I went yesterday and had great customer service. They also fixed my car quickly. This is actually my 2nd time using them and they were awesome both times. I will continue to give them my business!
Great company, I called for a tow on the Ft Eustis Army Base, they came in 20mins, got a vistors pass, and rescued me. The driver knew exactly where to go, as they frequent the installation often! I recommend
Christian was the absolute best! Unfortunately had my trans go out on my pride and joy. Prices around but even tho cousins was 10 higher than their competitors the customer service on the phone gave me a good feeling about them. Christian took great care of my car. He was so nice to talk to. I am so glad I paid the extra $10 for cousins towing I honestly would have paid an extra $30 I will choose cousins every time!
They wouldn't even look at my husband's truck until he gave them $500. Then it took them about another week to get the parts. It was ready on Friday the 1st, but because they told us too late in the day to get a ride, and because they don't do weekends, we have to wait until Tuesday (July 4th weekend, of course) to pay another $480 and retrieve our vehicle. I don't call this anywhere near excellent customer service. In fact, to keep a customer without transportation for 2 solid weeks is not only poor customer service, it is utterly ridiculous!!!!! So actually, I gave them a 1 because I couldn't go any lower. In the spirit of the holiday I rate them -1776.
I wouldn’t trust them to transport any vehicle of mine! They are an accident waiting to happen and that’s a total pun in itself! You would think the amount of accidents they’ve probably picked up vehicles from, they’d drive a little better!
They damn near took me out Friday 6/17 on 664 before the Monitor Merrimac Tunnel headed North around 11:30am. They were driving erratically, not even looking when changing lanes, just shifting over, came over right into my lane at the front of my vehicle (driver door forward, not just the front bumper), if I had not swerved out to the right I would’ve been taken out. No turn signal, just a very quick (erratic) shift of the wheel over into the lane. This occurred to multiple vehicles in the vicinity while they were swerving in and out of traffic.
They were transporting a very nice Alfa Romeo with Checkered Flag (dealer) stickers. Driver was a male wearing an orange shirt. Sad part, this isn’t the first review witnessing them driving this way so clearly they have not been reprimanded, they’ll be happy when they wreck somebody that results in injury.
I was locked out of my vehicle near Monroe Park. The serviceman arrived within 15 minutes of request, quicker than their estimated arrival (which I appreciate). He was able to unlock the vehicle in less than a minute and following some minor tasks he needed to do on a tablet was done within 3-5 minutes. I am extremely pleased with the overall experience I had using Cousins Roadside and highly recommend their services, particularly for lockouts.
I cannot say enough positive things about Cousins Towing. Our alternator went out while we were heading home from vacation and we were stuck on the side of the road with mechanics in the area quickly closing for the weekend (it was a Saturday afternoon). Every other place we called was hours out on pickups or not answering their phone. Cousins understood our predicament and made it a point to not only get to us quickly, but send a truck big enough to transport our family to the mechanic’s, too. Our driver (Jake, I think it was) had our vehicle up on the bed in minutes and was incredibly helpful. Thanks again, Cousins Towing! You guys are awesome!
I needed a tow tonight from Hampton to Chesapeake, from the phone being answered to signing my name for the transaction to be completed was the best service that I believe I could have gotten. Jay was very helpful and kept my experience positive. I will recommend this company to any and everyone and will continue to use them in any future needs that I might personally have.
Got my car towed today . They provide great costumer service ! I have no complaints. It literally took around 25 minutes for my vehicle to be tied up and taken to my specific location. They work really quick. And prices are at a reasonable price. I am completely satisfied from my experience at cousins towing.
