Outstanding shop, they installed ford hotrod cams in my 07 Roush mustang. JOSH did the work, they are a awesome product, reliable work at a fair price. They do have a waiting list, so it will take a while to get your build done, but it's well worth the wait. Highly recommend them for your performance work. You will.not be sorry.
I was recommended this shop a lot by a local facebook group and I couldnt be happier with my decision. The owner/tuner is insanely good at what he does. I went in for drivability issues on a boosted corvette from a previous tune and left with almost 100whp more on the same setup and no more drivability issues and a safer tune. Called yesterday morning to find out if they could look at my car, a 1994 Mustang GT with some light mods plus a 5 speed swap and see what they could do for tuning and dyno pulls. After going through the extremely long voice prompted answering machine, I left a detailed message that the answering machine asked for and have heard nothing back. Their website has been shut down according to the link on their facebook page, so I’m wondering if they are even still in business or just working on $$$$ customers. I’ll change my feed back if I ever hear from them.

Would not suggest this shop. Will take your money and block you on Facebook. Just goes to show Josh can’t handle his own Business and won’t bend over backwards for his customers as he said he does. He charged me $750 to trans tune my truck and wanted another $200 to reload the tune on my truck. I’ve given you a lot of money for your time and paid for something that I don’t even have. Make things right. You don’t know how loyal I’ve been because you only see the surface. I’ve talked this shop up so much over the years and told people to go there. It all started back when the shop did dyno days and bbqs. But now I truly know who you are and I’m not the only person who thinks your an awful human being.
Recently brought my car in for a tune after I installed a cam among other things. The customer service was outstanding! My tune on my car feels strong and healthy. Everything was gone over with me, showing me the graphs and he explained why he set things up the way he did. The facilities are clean and secure. Due to my schedule had to leave the car overnight, someone was there to greet me when I arrived and stored my car behind a security fence so it wasn’t sitting out overnight. Horsepower Solutions is absolutely where you want to bring your car for tuning or full out race car builds. 10/10
Did an auto to manual swap on my C6. Josh was able to get everything working and corrected all issues from a previous shop. They are very straight forward and will make recommendations but won’t try to sell you anything you won’t need. My car is making more power than ever and runs better than ever.
Josh and his team pulled a miracle on my 2011 Challenger RT when installing my Procharger. Put up numbers I would only have dreamed of, not to mention he also help me out tremendously on the setup as well. Great guy with a big heart and very helpful.
These guys know what there are doing with performance cars. Had another shop take xare of my car and did a very sub-par work on my car. I took it over to horsepower Solutions and within a week they had my car running very well. And u continue to go back to them for any of my performance car. Reasonable prices and deliver time and time again. Letting me know what they did and their solution to the issue. They stand by their work as well. Top notch outfit. Very highly recommend.
I had this shop install new cylinder heads on my truck costing over $7,000. They were installed with the wrong gaskets causing oil and fluids to leak all over the engine bay. When I brought the truck back they charged me $150 to look at the problem and then replaced the gaskets. So on top of the money for the project, I had to pay even more for them to find out what they did wrong and was never given my money back. Good luck getting them in the phone as well, I've would have to call at least 10 times before getting an answer. Go somewhere else, I'm sure there are better options.
Will never be taking my truck anywhere else again. Josh was more than great. Was there for my phone calls and all my questions, impressed me with more than what I thought I would get out of my small upgrades and the tune. My truck definitely will be back in there soon wouldn't reccomend anyone else!
Wanted to thank Eric, Josh and his team for the excellent job they did with some Cylinder Head upgrades on my 2007 Z06. The car was returned to me in perfect shape with zero issues. Although the modifications were minimal per my request, the car picked up some decent horsepower and drive-ability. The tune is way better than what the previous shop had installed. I would recommend HPS to anybody for their automotive work.
Brought my 1999 Trans Am to these guys to inspect previous owners work and for a dyno tune. From the start they were very helpful and informative. Before I signed off on the work, one of their guys took me and showed me around the facility and went over every detail of the work they were doing to each of the 8 or so customer cars they had in there as well as shop projects. Will definitely do business with these guys again once I piece together my cam kit.
I just had Horsepower Solutions do a full suspension makeover on my 2014 Mustang and I couldn't be happier with both the experience and the results. Eric showed me around the shop full of performance vehicles being worked on and then helped me formulate a plan to accomplish my goals.We agreed on a suspension kit to order and then later reconvened and ordered some additional items when I decided to take it a bit further. The install date came and everything went great. They laid out all of the parts for me to see and, at the end of day, everything had been expertly installed. My undercarriage now looks like jewelry and the ride and appearance exceeded my expectations. I would highly advise anyone looking to make any modifications to their vehicle to put their trust in Josh and his crew. Now that I'm in touch with these guys, I feel more comfortable in considering further projects that I have not been able to do because I either didn't have a trusted shop or couldn't do myself.
I have a 2014 charger rt awd. Was referred to go to horsepower solutions. So called them and Eric answered the phone told him what I wanted to do and he researched the best option for me to go with. Took excellent care of me and doing the install of a procharger on the car. Horsepower solutions does outstanding work and I will definitely be taking my car back and any car in the future to them. I would highly recommend them. Excellent techs and a great tuner. Call them if you want a dream build and excellent power!
I dropped my 93 notch off for repair, and I'm glad it was to these guys. Excellent customer service, they kept me updated every step of the way. They went above and beyond to fix my car. The shop is very clean and organized and that speaks volumes. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. You will not find a better shop. 5 stars all the way.
Told me they don't do welding when I brought my turbo manifold in for a repair, but they offer fabrication services? These guys are so hit or miss with their service. I would recommend taking your high $$ build to a different performance shop.

I took my modified 2006 Z06 to Josh at Horsepower solutions, because two other HUGE LS Shops were not able to get it running correctly. Josh and Eric spent hours communicating back and forth with me as they looked over the car. They always checked with me before doing anything, and explained in detail each step they were taking. Josh was able to solve a problem that another shop spent over a year trying to fix in UNDER A WEEK. After the car was fixed Josh spent over days getting the tune just right. With a large cam the car drives like STOCK. I drove over 4hrs each way, and I will continue to make the trip. I am extremely impressed with Horsepower Solutions and I would recommend them to anyone.
These guys really know what they are doing, have a lot of attention to detail, and definitely enjoy they're work. Very professional and great to work with. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to work on or increase hp on any modern muscle car. Theyve helped many people reach theyre automotive dream cars. Talking about 1000hp builds, custom fabricated items. If you can draw it out, they can probably build it for you, and they guide you along the way while building your hp the most efficient ways. Cant say enough great things about these guys. I just had a cobra jet intake slapped on my 2013 mustang gt and its making great power. 429hp 387 torque.
I replaced the LM7 5.3 in my 04 sierra for the L33 5.3 (very slight diffrence, better flowing heads and bigger injectors) and wanted to get the truck tuned right for the new engine. Even though this was totaly stock, aside from an aftermarket intake, these guys were super cool and down to earth with what I was looking to get done. Eric gave me a great tour around the shop, showing me customer cars they were building that ranged from 500hp to 2400hp. Crazy hp in there! Even though my truck was just a stock engine that ended up with 228whp and 268tq, I still felt very valued and respected as a customer, even though I was just getting a simple dyno tune. I got my dyno graph and a great HD video of the pull they took for me. The truck runs awesome and can tell a big diffrence with power and smoothness of the engine. I highly recomend.
The Crew At Horsepower solutions a great. Been dealing with these guys for over a year now, always up front and believe in leading in the right direction. Eric help me recently with the build kept me posted on parts and good recommendations. I work in sales myself and have never had someone actually call me after service and ask was I satisfied. Well I have a 2014 mustang gt with a few bolts ons ;) but these guys pulled 100+ hp out of it and after leaving I am beyond satisfied drives like a completely different car. As well Josh is the best at what he does in my opinion so don't just take my word for it , call them and you will see what I mean.
I have been here multiple times with my CTS-V getting various work done. I just want to say the shop itself is very clean and organized. I feel very comfortable leaving my vehicle there, knowing it will be returned in the same condition. The staff there are all very friendly and inviting. I always am greeted and feel right at home. The work they do speaks for itself. I drive away satisfied, and confident that everything will operate as it should. I would definitely recommend Horsepower Solutions to anyone out there.
I sent my friend here with his Mustang to get headers and an exhaust installed and a tune since he lives in Alabama and he was visiting me on vacation. I told him to try this shop out. They charged him over $1,200 to do so and they did not tell him what the price would be upfront. They didn't give him a 3 pull Dyno sheet and when we asked them for the Baseline pulls they had no answer. When I was there we were told that the vehicle is strapped down and that they would do the dyno pull in 2 hours so we went to lunch came back. The owner stated they have just strapped it down however we were told when we were there at 11 a.m. 2 hours prior that it was strapped down and ready to be done. We came back from lunch after waiting around for 2 hours for them to tell us that they would probably get to it around 4:30 or 5:30 p.m. in the evening so we left. Next thing you know we're getting a call saying that the vehicles ready at 5:30 that we need to come pick it up now or tomorrow. However when we were at the place they told us we could pick it up as late as 8 . We were pre-warned from other people that have used this shop they wouldn't recommend it. I can kind of see why. Customer service is a big thing and when you tell somebody you're going to do something you should do it. And you always give a customer at least two pulls on the dyno especially since you're shop does not allow people to watch their own Dyno being done. It also gives a chance to break in the components just installed and make sure they are installed correctly.
First and foremost I cannot explain how happy I am with my Z06 after this weekend. All because of Josh Tonski and his team at Horsepower Solutions.
Back story - My shop foreman Chip Heppenstall and I moved my blow off valve and made some intake piping changes over the 4th of July weekend in preparation for Mpact and BeastCoast Shootout that we thought were minimal and would not cause any issues with the car, of course that wasn't the case. We made the changes and started the car and it wouldn't even idle on Monday July 4th. So here I am 5 days before a weekend of racing in PA that I have already paid event registration for and hotel rooms with a car that will not even idle. I had the opportunity to be introduced to Josh Tonski who owns Horsepower Solutions by Matthew Cooper who owns the one off Twin Turbo LS SLC that beat my Z at the Speed Thrills racing even in June at Dominion Raceway. Josh built Matthews SLC, Taylor English's insane F1 C6Z and the monster white beast 1k+ rwhp CTS V Wagon owned by Josh Spence and after seeing the cars in person and watch them take a beating over and over again I gave him a call on the 4th. Calling someone on a holiday I was 100% planning on leaving a message and hoping for a call back sometime Tuesday when he was caught up from being off for the weekend and was blown away to get an answer on the 2nd ring. Horsepower Solutions is a large performance shop in Newport News VA and usually 30+ days backed up with restorations, custom fabrication work, custom turbo builds, etc. I had little hope of getting the car in on a 24 hour notice and if there was a chance I expected a bill 3x more then the normal cost would be for the rush. Josh told me to get the car to him ASAP and that he would do everything in his power to have it ready for me to trailer the car to PA Friday night for the race Saturday at Pocono. I am so thankful that Matthew Cooper dealt with all of my BS buying this trailer from him and I drove down Wednesday night 4 hours to Horsepower Solutions and dropped the car off around 9 pm. Josh got on the car first thing Thursday and was able to go through all of the issues and get everything situated to go on the dyno Thursday. Of course since it is one of my cars there were a pile of problems from the previous person that worked on the car and he was working on the car until 2 am Friday morning just getting it ready for the dyno. He was able to get it on the rollers Friday around lunch time and not only did he clean up all of the issues he made 90+ more rwhp then what it was making before at the same boost level!!!

I took my 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 in for a dyno tune. For some reason, if you stay with the vehicle, they can only "fit" you in after 1500. The tune was a little expensive. It cost $200 to obtain the credits to unlock the computer and it was $200 per hour on the dyno. My total bill was $600. I did not have any issues with Josh or his staff during my visit. It took around 2 hours to road test and dyno tune. He took time to personalize the truck (shift points, firmness of gear shifts, rev limiter, etc) for me and asked lots of questions to make sure he got it right. Overall I am very happy with the services I received.
