Nice people. A lot of future if that's what you are looking for. There are a lot of toy cars and matchbox cars. Nothing that was special to me and prices were okay.

I came here last week with my friend, and we are frequent antique store visitors. I have a Masters degree in History and I am a Historian, so I love historical objects and pieces. I’m a collector as well. We go to antique stores all throughout the 757 and 804, and we are usually treated with kindness and respect. My friend and I are both women of color, and we are not easily offended people, but it is insanely obvious when someone is looking at you like you’re a criminal. Even in places like Poquoson, we’ve been shown more openness and decorum. We are both college education (William & Mary, to be exact) women who have clean records. The entire time we were in the store, the older White woman who was sitting at the cash register, watched us like a hawk, as if we were going to steal something. When we initially walked in, she reluctantly spoke, despite how friendly we were, and it was obvious that we weren’t wanted there, but we tried to give the store a chance. EVERY, and I mean EVERY, single time we looked in her direction, she was literally watching us. It is incredibly offensive and degrading to walk into a place of business where we are being looked at through a disdainful lens. It is insulting, too. As we were leaving, she didn’t tell us to have a nice day, or anything else. She didn’t speak at all on our way out of the door. It was genuinely disgusting, but nonetheless, we see how it is here, and we simply will not return. Please reconsider how you treat people.

The lady at the counter was very rude. I asked a question about art and she act like I was bothering her. She was carrying on a conversation with somebody about nothing and didn't even want to talk to me about any information. I'll never go back there.

I don't know why everyone thought this place was over priced. Comparing a thrift store like the DAV is unfair. This is a resale shop, not a thriftstore. They had great items at half the price you would expect from sites like ebay. I will definitely be going back.

So glad I stopped in on this Memoral Day 20% off the whole store weekend sale. A killer childhood find and great folks with fair prices to include excellent customer service. When you are here they want you to know they are here to help, but you will not be hounded while you browse. I plan to return soon.

Surprisingly expensive shop. Many items are priced close to retail. I have been dropping in here since before they moved out of Hilton, and while it is a perfectly fine experience being there, I have never once found what I would call a "deal." It is one of those places where they know exactly what they are selling and it is priced to the sold listings on Ebay. If you are in the market for an uncommon Hot Wheels car to complete a collection, and you are willing to pay $30 for it, you won't find a better place locally. Otherwise you might see a rusty crescent wrench for $5-10, basic lamps from grandma's house for $30-50, or well used electric stoves for a couple hundred dollars less than something you can get at Lowe's. To me, the joy of second hand shopping is the idea that I can find things for truly great prices. This just isn't one of those places in my experience. It's a good spot for collectors who like to spend, but hardly feels like a yard sale. I see a lot of defensiveness in replies to lower ratings. I mean no disrespect with this review, and hope the owner takes it as the constructive criticism it is intended to be.

Very pleasant experience in this new location. I had family in from out of town and they're Thrifters so The Yard Sale was top of our list for a long but pleasant day. Such an eclectic selection of merchandise. Truly we named. Pleasant and helpful customer service. Parking is no issue large lot shared by multiple stores. Handicapped access. Well worth a visit you will find something you must have.

It's a fun place that has some great hidden treasures! If you love antique toys or are in need of sturdy used furniture, I highly recommend checking this place out. Please note that the bathroom isn't very clean (not sure if they're technically public use, or the gentleman working let me use it to be kind).

This store was a lot of fun! I went in to browse for furniture and found some good quality items. I bought a solid dining room set that you don’t find anymore without spending an arm and a leg for a very good price. But then I saw the toys. Then the one-of-a-kind pieces like carvings, hand made pianos, old church pump organs books, war mementos and so much more. Like a mini museum in a strip mall. Wonderful surprise. I will definitely go back to find more cool stuff!

Interesting store, collectibles, antiques, furniture, odds and ends, tools, framed art and pictures, garden tools, just about anything you'd find in somebody's house or garage. Store and merchandise is clean, organized, and lots of browsing and breathing room. It was a good experience. We came out of there with a nice lamp and a couple tools. Pretty sure we got a steal. I'm thinking we'll come here first for now on before buying retail.

I was dealing with Harold very polite at first and then everything went sideways. He made an offer that I said I had to discuss with family. Since not receiving a low and non negotiable price I removed a couple of items from the deal and asked for another quote. Now I have very nice furniture items that are in excellent condition but after removing items he was nasty. Saying let’s just get this deal done. Asked me to retake photos run them to his store and then sends me an email withdrawing the offer. Dude say that in the beginning not after jumping hoops to get it done. I was confused about the whole thing and my things looked nicer than anything in the store. After losing my parents and trying to deal with getting their things placed and then this . He’s put me behind and I’m not happy to say the least.

Don't let the name fool you, bring your wallet. The items in the store are far from yard sale prices, or even thrifting prices. If you're a thrifter in the market for good prices, go to CHKD or DAV. We checked some of the in original packaging figures against the prices on eBay and they were almost twice as high as what you can BUY the same product for. This was really disappointing. Full disclosure, I do work in resale, so I'm familiar with various avenues of finding products. Yes, the store is clean and we'll organized, but we spent no money there. I'm hardly a competitor, and while I appreciate that they don't receive free inventory like DAV or CHKD I stand by my assessment that the name Yard Sale LLC is misleading.

They have wide array of antiques and gently used items and furniture. We got a great deal on a shelving unit, and Harold even helped us load it onto our truck. Also love the new location!

Absolutely fascinating! Somewhere between a thrift store and an antique store and priced accordingly. I thoroughly enjoyed browsing all the items outside my price range and then finding the two things that were just perfect for me. The owners are kind and friendly too :)

I love this place! Have been several times when I was in town to see my granddaughter! We love going through the items to see what treasures we can find. Never disappoints and the price is right!

What a fun place to browse and shop for collectibles, furniture, and unique finds! We stopped by while we were in town visiting our daughter. I’m an avid thrifter and make it a priority to check out the local places whenever I travel! The Yard Sale did not disappoint! First of all it was super clean and very well organized! I loved the big display windows in the front of the store…lots of natural light. Items were organized by category such as, vintage tools, antique and novelty oil lamps, a huge selection of antique/vintage/collectible matchbox cars/model trucks/toy trains, electric globe table lamps, etc. The back room was full of furniture, wall art, collectible glassware, kitchen items, etc. I observed the owner and employees repairing furniture too. They offered us shopping baskets and even a bottle of water. The prices are very fair. We really enjoyed talking with the owner who learned the business from “picking” with his grandfather. You can tell he takes pride in his store. We purchased several items… oil lamp, cake pan, rattan serving trays, hanging planter, and a beautiful antique platter, We will definitely make this a must go to place every time we visit!

I came in recently to browse for some art pieces and I left with more than a carful! Brian was super helpful, the selection was great and most of all the prices are extremely reasonable. I will definitely be a new regular at this location.

Really nice shop. Lots of items and great prices. Much larger than it seems and you can find a lot of collectibles and furniture and good prices. Haven't been able to get there since I went last but hoping to go back soon when time allows!

Got a 1920s Queen Ann cherrywood wardrobe in great condition. The owner is awesome and very nice. She had Skelton keys made for my wardrobe and had it out front for me to pick it up. She let me borrow a blanket to lay the wardrobe on for transport to my home.

This is by far my favorite thrift / resale shop in the area. The people who own it are lovely. Great items and great prices. The inventory changes frequently so make sure you go often!

This place definitely has some neat and old items. They have rearranged the store and its so much more organized. We enjoy going here to look around and see what they have. Definitely worth a look around for books, furniture, glassware, older toys and other items.

An eclectic mix of items that you don't find in thrift stores anymore. I considered giving it four stars, because items like furniture, small appliances, or really anything newer is overpriced. However, they have an impressive assortment of vintage items, like toys and household items, and these items are fairly priced as what you'd expect for said item and its condition. It's obvious that the owners refrain from stocking the typical "junk" items you find in thrift stores. This is a great place for finding an unusual gift or decor item, not so much for trying to find a cheap dresser. However, the unusual and vintage items' pricing and selection are such that I can't justify taking away an entire star over overcharging for used furniture from the early aughts.

Today was our first time in. We will definitely be back. This place is a hidden gold mind. Prices were lower then we expected. We spent an hour browsing and finding all kinds of treasures. Yall must definitely check THE YARD SALE out.....

Great unique items with new items arriving everyday. In the back of the store there is actually vintage and antique furniture not just tables and chairs but they do have those too. Vintage toys from many childhood memories and even books in good condition that you will not find in common bookstore chairs. Anything you can think of they are sure to have it and more.
