IM new to scrapping and Lee has been incredibly patient, helpful and informative while i learn. I feel like he teaches me something new everytime i take a car load. It really feels he roots for everyone to make as much as possible for themselves and he never falls short on trying to help you in any way he can for u to succeed in getting the most out of your scrap metals. The new river valley is lucky to have such a great staffed business in which so many in our community rely on to just get by. I couldn't say more good things and I highly recommend
Anytime I have recycling to take off I always go to New River Recycling! This is the best place to go b/c of the price and the employees. Lee is who I always deal with and he is the best! Lee helps unload your stuff ( I always help Lee get my recycle stuff off) or he unloads all of it himself he always makes sure the weight is correct and also always makes sure your money is correct when he pays you.
There is never a really long line most of the time, there may be a few people but Lee gets them out quickly so you never wait too long.
Lowest prices on scrap iv seen. This will be the first and last I recycle anything here at new river recycling. Has to be the worst scrap recycling place in South West Virginia.
Have helped haul Electronics and wires numerous times over a couple years, always have been friendly. Easiest one I have been to as far as unloading and it's covered so you can stay dry. No mud! Cleanest Recycler I have seen compared to any around Martinsville, Henry, and Franklin Counties. I don't follow prices but with the way they maintain that site, the ease of it all, and the people I would rather get less money and deal with them than go else where. In areas around Martinsville over the years the recyclers have had multiple charges against them for illegal activities. NRR is an asset to that area.
I've been doing business with NRR for over 15 years and have not had 1 bad experience to report. Always treated with respect and Always paid cash on the spot, and pays better prices than anyone else in our area.
When I first started saving scrap copper I had no idea that I was also throwing away other metals they would buy. A guy that works there,Lee ,was so patient about telling me what was worth what and how to tell different metals apart. I can't say enough good things! They definitely helped pay more than one electric bill.
I have dropped off two pickup truck loads of computers and computer parts, and they were very fair and easy to deal with. I cannot say whether they have the best prices in the valley. I haven't actually found another recycler that will pay us for old computers. However, it was easy to get there, they are easy and pleasant to deal with, and I felt like we got a fair price for the stuff we dropped off, which otherwise would have gone into the waste stream.
