Huge thank you to Mitchell Towing! They were dispatched after I got my first flat tire, and instead of simply towing my vehicle, he kindly offered to change the tire for me right there on the spot. He took the time to explain exactly what caused the flat tire, answered my questions, and made a stressful situation feel manageable. He was incredibly courteous, professional, patient, and genuinely kind throughout the entire experience. I’m so grateful for the compassion and excellent service—highly recommend Mitchell Towing!
Coming from out of state to visit our son, we were told to eat at Duke’s Diner and parking is located beside the building.
We arrived at Duke’s parked in the garage (what we thought was the garage). The garage was mostly open with maybe a dozen vehicles parked and even more opened spaces. We walked to Duke’s to place our name for service, walked outside and then went to our car to retrieve a coat. This was in a manner of 5 mins.
I noticed a tow truck parked behind my vehicle and taking pictures of my car and was told it would be $150 today or $240 at the lot. I am not certain if the car was lifted at the time and immediately went to get my husband. The 20 seconds to walk back and my husband to come the car was lifted. We had offered to move the car because we had no idea it was private parking and was told no that it would cost $150 to lower the vehicle.
We were absolutely clueless of what was happening as we were just parked 5 mins. We were told it was private parking. We asked if there he could provide some grace since we just arrived and were visiting out of state.
We were told there’s no grace (funny there’s a cross in their social media images to convey grace).
We had to pay $157 total to have it lowered for parking 5 mins in a location we didn’t know was private. (The signs on the building are not obvious - especially to those not living in the area).
JB showed up within 20 minutes of me calling for assistance. He was extremely efficient and professional. He towed my truck back to my house and released it exactly where I requested with no hesitations. He and Mitchell’s towing made a bad situation more tolerable, which was greatly appreciated! Keep up the great work! I highly recommend these guys if you’re in need of towing assistance!
My husbands car was towed to Mitchell’s after his car accident; we went to look at it and figure out how to get it out and get it towed to our mechanic. His car was there for a total of 3-4 hours and was told we had to pay 1886.52 to get it out. That’s insane! It should not have been that much for a few hour hold!
JB came out on a Sunday to tow my daughter‘s car for me. He was fast, reliable and super sweet. He texted me to let me know that he dropped it off at the repair shop and that the keys were in the drop box! I highly recommend Mitchell’s towing!
Guy that came out was an absolute professional with great skills. Friendly guy. Got me out from the iced up snow my car was in. I drive a Corolla, so I probably would’ve lost a bumper or gotten stuck if I would’ve sent it through the iced up snow pile the plow trucks left behind my car. Now I can head home 12 hours South. 100% recommend!
I contacted Mitchell’s Towing late at night for a very minor relocation—my vehicle only needed to be pulled approximately three feet out of the roadway and into a safe position in front of my home. I was quoted $300 for this service.
According to typical Virginia towing rates, a short “hook and drop” or relocation tow is usually well under $100, even with after-hours charges. A $300 quote for a three-foot pull felt extremely excessive.
Because of the price, I declined service and had to shovel the vehicle out myself for over four hours overnight in hazardous weather. I strongly recommend getting multiple quotes.

Super communicative before and during the pick up and was really kind to wait when I was late. Shawn took care of everything (jumping the car, loading and taking it to the shop) and treated me with generosity and respect. Would highly recommend!
I can’t recommend Mitchell’s enough. Every time I’ve needed help, they’ve shown up incredibly fast—much quicker than I ever expect. What really sets them apart, though, is how they treat people. Every driver I’ve met has been kind, respectful, and genuinely willing to help in a stressful moment. It’s rare to find a company that’s both quick and compassionate, but they nail it every time. If you ever need a tow, these are the folks you want coming to your rescue. JB was fantastic with his knowledge on my lowered vehicle and how to load it properly.
I’ve used Mitchell’s towing service a few times in the past several months and I would Highly recommend them. Response time in my experiences has been very reasonable. My tows have gone very smooth and each time were kind enough to give me a ride to the drop off location. JB does a fantastic job. He is very friendly and professional. Wowza! They were great! Hubby, who had traveled to Lynchburg for business, discovered a flat tire as he was walking to the car to drive to his office. He called me to take care of getting it towed while he called a taxi to get to the office. I called Michell's and instantly knew I was in good hands. They instantly texted me an invoice and link to pay online and within minutes of me making payment the tow truck was already in route. Super convenient since I was back home in Pennsylvania. We received excellent, speedy service and excellent communication from the office as well as from the tow truck driver. Thank you for making a lousy morning much easier.
Today I used Mitchel’s towing and quickly JB responded to my lock out request on my Jetta. Extremely nice and friendly guy helped me get my car unlocked fast and with care. Super grateful would recommend these services to anyone.
A young man with a short beard came and helped us with a flat. He was there quickly, got the job done quickly and was very communicative. He even texted to remind us to drive slow with the donut since he forgot to tell us before he left, which we thought was very considerate. We really appreciated his help!
I had to have my car towed today to Apple Ford again. The driver was very courteous and helpful. He was very concerned about my issues. I hope not to need them again but I have actually saved the name and phone number to my contact list -I can go direct to them

I was honored by having JB to help assist me with towing my vehicle. I ended up with a flat tire, and I thought I would be waiting forever. But WOWWWWWW JB showed up literally less than 10 mins once he was assigned to me.

JB is a awesome person, Mitchell towing I know is glad they have someone like him on they team.
He was Quick, fun to talk to, while I felt down about my situation and he made my day.

Unfortunately, Mitchell towing has had to tow me twice in the last month, but fortunately for me they've done their best to make a bad day better. The lady who answers the phone has been professional, patient and helpful, and both the guys that towed my vehicles were helpful and respectful. Thanks!
Car cut out on me flashing lights everywhere on the dashboard. Managed to pull over off the road. Googled local towing service and Mitchell's came up with good reviews so I called them. They got down to business to help me get on my way quickly. Took my information and had someone out to me and maybe 10-15 minutes. Bob was very professional. Very easy going. And hooked up my car and towed it in short time. He is personally affable and experienced in his position. We made it back home with no incidents and he managed to park my car in my very narrow driveway with ease. The price was very reasonable for the distance covered and in the future if I'm ever in need again I would not hesitate to call them. Five out of five for Price, customer service and overall experience.

They did an awesome job! Their response time was excellent! I requested a tow but Driver recommended attempting to jump with his jump box and it started right up. I had already left but he waited there for me to return while my vehicle was running. He was very friendly and professional! Well done!

I had a great experience today. Mark was easy to work with. He called me before arriving and was very careful to respect my neighbors lawn. He had my vehicle loaded and was ready to go super quickly. While trying to avoid a collision during a turn, I had a tire sliced by a city sewer drain. It was along side a curb. Our insurance covers towing for roadside assistance. Mark from Mitchell’s Towing was fast to the scene, and even faster to load up! Highly recommend Mitchell’s Towing!

Out for a nice Sunday morning drive in my 1958 Devin MG, and a loud bang followed by puffs of white smoke brought the joyride to an end!. Out in the middle of nowhere, but called Mitchell towing, and Mark was there as soon as could be expected. Loaded up the car, and took it back to my garage for unloading. Very professional, great equipment, and handled my rare car with no issues. Would definitely recommend, and should I ever find myself in a position of needing a tow again, will definitely call mark and Mitchell!
