I had a disappointing experience at this business that I feel is important to share. While I was there, a young child—who seemed to be related to the owner—asked loudly whether I was a boy or a girl. The adult present, who I believe owns the store, did not step in to correct the child or offer any kind of apology. Instead, the child was later rewarded with candy, which made the situation feel even more disrespectful.
Additionally, when my sister had her vehicle worked on, a woman—possibly a relative or staff member—sat nearby and stared at me the entire time, clearly waiting for a reaction. Again, no one apologized or addressed the uncomfortable behavior.
If you’re LGBTQ+ or just someone who presents differently, I would not recommend this place. The environment felt unwelcoming and, frankly, discriminatory. I strongly encourage others to support businesses that treat all customers with respect and dignity.
Had my dad's car towed there to have the transmission looked at. Never got called with and update and had to call myself. Then I was told it needed a new transmission that would cost $3 to 4k to fix, yet never could tell me "why" it needed a new transmission. After pressing for and answer on what was wrong with the transmission that warranted a whole new transmission, he became extremely rude and said "I don't have time for this, my kids need to eat". I know folks have it hard in this economy, but that no reason to be unprofessional and rude. Took it to Arrow Transmission and was fixed in less than a week by replacing a bad speed sensor, with a fluid change for about $650, versus up to 4k and a new transmission. No one in the family is giving Cassidy business from here on out. Arrow Transmission is very professional, polite, and took the time to explain what they found, and even provided pictures and documentation of the troubleshooting process, highly recomend them!
Unprofessional and very Rude. First time customer and wont return. My Mom Took her car to get diagnostic done on car and was told to leave a list of things that she wanted to get check. When the mechanic returned the phone call to tell her what he found, he was loud and rude and making comments like " I'm going to move on to the next car because my mechanic has a family to feed." The one thing that she had talked about getting checked he acted like she never said anything about it or knew anything about it and kept commenting about his personal life problems and how "he already did free work for her" and kept hanging up on her. Never asked for anything to be done for free. Sorry about your personal problems but that is so unprofessional!!!! I hope Yelling and screaming and hanging up on an older lady makes you feel better.
Awesome mechanic! Very knowledgeable in the field of troubleshooting & repair services. If you want it done right THE FIRST TIME, go to Cassidy's in Aylett,Va!! You won't have to wait & wonder if it'll take weeks to get your vehicle back! Very friendly & they don't price gouge people!
Great communication up front on cost estimate and timing to complete repairs. All work was completed as requested and on time. Thanks for helping me out when my truck went out of commission unexpectedly.
Patrick was very professional and hard working. Needed an inspection done and he had the car in and out with no delays. Great folks over there and will be returning in the future.
We've used Cassidy Auto since we moved to the county. They resolved a long standing problem the first time we took the car to them that the dealer couldn't fix. They are very honest and professional. I highly recommend them!
I had a leak in a tire , had no appointment but decided to stop by and see if they could fix it. He took the car back and they were very busy and found a small screw. He plugged it. He was very professional. I will definitely go back when I need another service. Patricia Gilley
Excellent fair place of business. Costumer service is great and you can't beat the prices. Honestly run shop that doesn't take advantage of their costumers.
Had my transmission replaced and the work was done professionally and quickly. When an issue came up the owner was quick to get it resolved and made sure I felt taken care of.
Jessica and Patrick are wonderful! They inspected my car and fixed several items that needed replacing for a VERY reasonable price so I took them my dad's car that had failed inspection at another location. Patrick even brought the parts out and demonstrated to me what was happening! They are the ONLY shop in King William that is thorough, fair, and truly care for their customer's wallets and their safety! Thank you guys so much!!!!!
