I can honestly say that I was discouraged when they decided to take away some of the recycling of more items (like glass and cartons)
My understanding is that China was no longer taking these items for recycling. People were also not properly recycling and we're just throwing random items into the massive recycle bin.
Overall you can recycle oil from cars, paints, bulbs, batteries, cardboard, metal cans, metal items. 2 donation bins for the DAV as well.
They also have a place to dispose of household items (from demos) toilets, mattresses furniture, regular trash.
2 bins for DAV donations/ great place to clean up overall!
Need to recycle clean plastics like bread bags, plastic bags, any of these items can be recycled at Food Lion.
The world isn't changed by large actions, but rather small and consistent actions.

I didnt think I would ever write a review on a landfill, but this is a very nice place. I have been to many landfills and this is so far nicer than any other landfill I have ever been too. A nice older guy who works there even helped my unload all of my stuff.
Been coming here my entire life, never had an issue and always friendly people there. The place is organized and simple, there's no question of where to go to take what.
The team here is usually nice, helpful, and respectful, but one of the workers had a very nasty attitude on a Sunday morning. To yell, cuss and be outright nasty is not something any customer should have to experience.
Would give more but today, one of the workers thought it was ok to cuss at my son while he was putting trash in the compactor. Normally nice people but they are getting rather rude. ??♀️
The facility is well maintained and staffed by a helpful crew. Switching to compacting trash at ground level and throwing branches down into the dumpsters is a welcome change. However, Isle of Wight decision to stop recycling plastic and glass makes recycling an ordeal.
born & raised in Isle of Wight County & the past 3-4 years of living close by this is the most organized clean & friendliest ("ole' tommy" kind-of friendly where they call you by name)
they accept/recycle pretty much anything you could think of. Great place/people SHOCKINGLY from a "trash dump"
