Very rude on the phone and in person. Unreasonable to deal with. Would absolutely not recommend doing business here. I will say the receptionist I believe the owners wife was nice but Gary is not. Seemed irritated even to have answer the phone. Horrible experience. Run down facility. The lack of customers speaks for itself. Hard to have respect for someone that profits off the misfortune of others anyways the attitude didn't help.
Great people and excellent service! My wife and I recently had to have our car towed and not only did we get a fair price but everyone we interacted with was extremely helpful! Highly recommend.
Gary and his staff went out of their way to get 3 vehicles inspected (my mom's car and two of mine). I also had a problem with my car that is a type of work he doesn't do and he was nice enough to give me suggestions on who he knew/worked with in the past that would be able to help me. Independent shops are a rarity these days so I appreciate that. I also will use his towing services if I ever need them. Highly recommend.
I had to give a star to be able to post a review however I actually give 0 stars! He is a very rude man that has absolutely no customer service skills!!! I was very upset with our situation & told him he was being very insensitive but a cuss word never come out of my mouth,he then preceded to say don’t throw the g*d d**n insensitive card at me. My advice…don’t deal with these people plain & simple!!! It’s a money making scam
Gary Shull is a hateful bitter old man with no heart. he breaks the law by keeping individual's personal property when a vehicle is towed to his place. No matter the cost or urgent need for said property, while being presented with proper identification. Stay away from this place at all cost.
Very honest very respectful and great help! Many times I went there he fixed my car decent price. I do my cars inspection there. I want to say Thanks for your business!
Needed a tow from way down in southern Albemarle Co to his shop. Very kind, professional, and understanding. Fixed a leak that filled the passenger's side floor everytime it rained. Other tired, charged, and failed. Not Tommy! He stuck with it and found multiple issues. Fixed them all, and towed the car back home, he even had it cleaned! HIGHLY RECOMMEND and will use again and again, (as we have older cars) :)
Been doing business with Gary for many years now, and have never had any issues. His prices for repair work are more than fair, he does great quality work, he calls you if he runs into any problems beyond exactly what you hired him to fix (additional parts needed or whatnot), and more often than not he gets the work done a lot faster than he says he will. I highly recommend Gary for whatever you need done.
I cannot stress enough how unbelievable these people are. Literally REFUSED a legally drafted agreement to obtain my siblings property saying I had to have a "piece of paper or something signed by the property holder". Will just keep you in a run-around to rack up your bill. Gary Shull runs nothing but a scam. What goes around comes around. I'd suggest calling Collier's for any needs.
I got into an accident at the beginning of 2014 Shull's ended up towing my car back to their shop. I told the man I still had all my things in it. He said no problem I could come get it before state farm came and picked it up. We'll state farm said my things wouldn't be touched if they came and got it before I could get my things. Long story short, I had Christmas gifts, cameras, toys, and more from christmas. I told the guy at shulls that state farm was going to come get it with my things and that it wouldn't be an issue. WE'LL when state farm got there the employees told then that I changed my mind and they were taking my things out for me so I could come get it..... which was far from the truth... when I finally got the the state farm place they said they took all my things. Called shulls. And they denied it. Said they never touched anything.. lies!!!! I had no proof of anything seeing how supposedly there cameras weren't working at the time... so convenient... but he was he said she said against state farm and shulls..... gary shulls then cussed myself and my grandmother and told us we could get the law involved if u had to and hung the phone up on me. And what a lovely surprise the officer in fluvanna that I spoke to was friends with Gary shulls..... no help that was... I do not recommend this place to anyone!!!! Unless you want your belongings stolen! Karma will come back around to all of them!
When I called at the earliest opportunity and answered all of the irrelevant questions that the woman representing the company asked me, I was told:
"Well, I don't believe you, and it's very rude for you to call me at this time."
To the owners: You are required by city ordinances to be available for phone calls at any hour because of the business you run, and it is very rude for you to accuse the people simply trying to pry their cars from your hands of being dishonest.
Avoid Shulls-- this branch is not the only that I had extremely negative experiences with.
