My boyfriend purchased oil here for my car the other day on 2/14 and was given a discount. The entire bill came out to $40 and some change. He purchased 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a filter. I'm not sure why we got a discount, but we were very grateful. When we came back two days later on 2/16 to buy the same exact oil and a filter for my brother's car, we were not given a discount, and it just felt inconsistent and frustrating. We specifically went back to this location thinking there was a deal or some reason why the oil was cheaper. Whoever the person my boyfriend worked with on 2/16 was very unkind and not willing to hear him out about the person who gave us a discount two days prior. Please keep pricing consistent!

This store in Centreville va crest lane is my favourite store, I frequently visit this store, today 02/03/26 by 14.07, I visited this store bought Mobil 1 engine oil and oil filter, sales associate Mr Keyan served me very nice person,professional,mannerable, treated me with great respect,honour and dignity, I congratulate store owner to have such nice sales associate,mostly I visit this store mostly on my cruiser motorbikes, and most of sales person recondnize me very well, any how Keyan is very professional person,keep it up

came for a battery replacement with Keyan, my car died in the area, so I had it jumped to make it out to this location but did not get the service I needed because I was told the terminals were too corroded. I had corrision protector and had it cleaned 3 years back so I was surprised to hear this. He did help jump my car so I took it down the street to the Jiffy Lube. they did it in 15 minutes and told me they've seen much much worst corrision and mine was not even a big deal. to my point, I think he could have made an effort but didn't. Hence the 3 stars.

I went this morning to see about check engine ligth the cashier tested got codes and didn't want to help me after that this elderly veteran show his military id and said thats not good enough and embarrassed him and was very disrespectful and didn't care that he served then talking to other employees about the issue this is the same cashier when i went inside after i got code numbers this other cashier was amazing help with codes gave ideas unlike the first person i met

Placed an order for a couple of items online for pickup. usually I get an email saying my order is ready for pickup within 10-20mins since the items are in stock at the store. but I never got an email this time saying my order is ready, even 7 hours after. I went to the store to check, the employee processed my order, gave me my items, but I noticed 1 item is missing. Asked him about it, but he said he doesn't know anything about it since the system says 1. but on my end, it says I bought 2 and I got charged for 2. Shortly after he processed it, I got an email saying the quantity for that item was reduced to 1. I'm pretty sure what happened was that the employee forgot to process my order, and someone bought 1 of the items that I ordered during that time.

I had the most helpful experience here. I came to replace my car battery and windshield wipers and Will who I believe was the manager on duty went above and beyond to help us. He replace the battery even when parts had been corroded to the point of not functioning, helped us find replacements, and really took his time to make sure everything was set up well and even walked us through the replacement which was really helpful to see. This was my first time coming to Advance Auto Parts and it will definitely be my first stop from now on for my future car needs. Thank you Will!

Awesome experience! I had to jump start a dead battery then drove over to Advance Auto Parts. I bought a new battery and Mario installed it right there in the parking lot. It was all completed in about 20 minutes. Nice guys and great customer service.

Worst experience: Is the policy of no-returns when dealing with defective batteries and being inconvenienced in the room with us? No, only defective batteries with no accountability. My dad went to the Centreville location on Monday to buy a car battery, but they installed a defective one. Initially, it worked, but later that day, it stopped functioning. Since my dad urgently needed to get to work, he took the car to a nearby auto shop, where they replaced the battery. On Wednesday, my mom and dad returned to the store to return the defective battery. Will, the store representative, said their policy prohibited battery returns. He offered two options: 1. Recharge the battery and use it. 2. Speak with the manager during business hours (9-5). Will said he would charge the battery overnight, so my parents returned the next day. However, Will admitted the battery didn’t charge properly and called it a “bad battery.” My mom asked if they could exchange the defective battery for a new one for my car, considering the trouble this situation has caused. Will called the manager to ask but didn’t explain the inconvenience my parents had endured. Unsurprisingly, the manager declined the request. In the end, they provided us with a new battery, but it’s useless at this point. We’ve been severely inconvenienced: my dad had to purchase a replacement battery elsewhere to get to work, the store refused in-store credit, and citing policies they couldn’t provide with documentation. What more?

Take your business elsewhere because this place is super bad and very pricy! They literally charge DOUBLE the price for the same level battery as Costco and refuse to take it back, even though it was just purchased a few minutes earlier!! Not to say it took them forever to wait for a battery test, and it’s really difficult to use their coupon or store credit (has to be used on the app through online, not in the store, though the store credit card said it can be used for both😓). Treating customers like this, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they go out of business!!! Hope that day will come soon 😡😡😡

Expecting good customer service? You wont find it here. They employees pass right by you without acknowledging you or if you had been helped. Im still waiting on my battery i ordered online although 2 employees already know im here but never acknowledged me. Just looked my way and looked away. Also... Wearing sunglasses is very unprofessional

Terrible customer service, I bought a set of nuts for my wheels, they suggested the wrong size, 1 hour later I went to return them to the store and their salesman named Will did not want to return them, arguing that the packaging was broken. which is kind of useless since when I realized they weren't the right ones I had to open the package, he was so rude and aggressive that I left the packaging of nuts I bought on his desk making me lose money a total of $40 and he won Me I had a very bad experience. I definitely won't visit or shop at your store again!

The employee neme Will was not not helpfull at all , I went to a lady that was there to get a part for my car she sold me the wrong size I went back to return and he said he will not return if I want I can come with in a next hour the lady will be there she was the one sold and he will not do some one else job . What kind of service is that makes no sense. Please supervise you employee attitude.

I went to Advanced Auto Parts to get a headlight for my Honda CR-V and got so much more. One of the employees, Will, was so helpful with all the questions and concerns I had. He helped me pick out some items that would clean up the foggy film on my headlights and even offered to help me do it if I came back with the power drill I needed. I took him up on his offer and when I came back he was on break. He came off his break and got me started on the project with my headlight restoration and even showed me how to do it and kept helping and checking on me until the project was done. The most amazing experience and follow though I’ve had in a long time. I would recommend this location to anyone.

I was in a bind when my car died in the middle of the road today and needed to replace my car battery. Reyan came to the rescue and helped me install my car battery that I purchased from them. I own a Volkswagen, so it was a little tricky to change. I really appreciated his patience and kindness throughout the whole process. He never got annoyed when I asked questions (I don’t know a lot about cars) and I could tell he didn’t try to take advantage of me with my lack of knowledge about cars like they try to do (especially with women) at mechanic shops or dealerships. It was dark, cold and raining today too so big shout out to him. Can’t express my gratitude enough

Find another place to get your parts! This place (centereville VA stinks) I have been a parts buyer (DIY) from Advance in 3 states over a 15 year period. I used to get great service, and friendly people. Not here in Virginia! I placed a web order for Pads and rotors, for the same car I fixed 2 - years ago. The order was web ordered, and ready when they said it would. Except the Parts were the wrong ones! Silvia, (an incompetent employee) person said I made the mistake, and she was going to do nothing. She kept her promise, I had to re-assemble my car and go pick up the correct part, and in the process lost the on line discount. She was nasty and clearly did not want to deal with my issue. I had to come back to the store, and refund the p=wrong part, and the re-but the new part. Horrible attitude, it was clear my $300 purchase problems were irritating her. Just move her to the back room unloading and stocking shelves - she has no skills for dealing with customer issues.

I ordered a oil filter wrench online. When I went to pick it up I brought the oil filter with me to ensure fitment. It did not fit. How does a 65mm 14 flute wrench not fit a 65mm 14 flute filter? On a more positive note the agent that helped me was very responsive and friendly. Much better than most auto parts places I have experienced. I wish I could give them a 10!!! I went out this first cold morning and discovered a dead battery. Called the Centreville store - they saw me in 15 minutes and it took LESS than 15 minutes for them to install it. Great customer service. Shout out to Brenda and Daniel. They will be my new place!!

Employees I interacted were fine. Their prices are on the VERY HIGH side. $70 for 2 wiper blades when you can buy them for 1/3 of price at Walmart. Same goes for most of their products. If you don't like getting ripped off, visit this store as your last resort.

Wouldn't do a return on defective led bulbs. The associate took one look at the package and said, "that's an electronic, we can't do returns once it's open." He then told me that I needed to compare the bulbs already in my car before I bought led bulbs, even though the manufacturer of the bulbs say that they fit and function. Don't come here unless you know exactly what you are buying and hope and pray that the product works, because they won't take it back if it is defective. Terrible.

I have owned truck and offroad businesses in the past, and the lack of customer service shown by the guy I just dealt with at his auto zone was amazing. Trying to tell me that there is no way to buy a spare locking lug nut key, when I sold them to customers all day long at my store. Rude, disrespectful and totally clueless as to how to work with customers. I didn't get his name, but hes the only old red haired man there this morning. Now I see why this is the only job he can hold down. Sad. Update. Mr old red haired employee at this store, was wrong. Shocker. I found a locking key for my wheel.... no problem. So, he needs to adjust his attitude and realize he has no clue what he's talking about. Sad.

I went in for a battery check and installation. Rodrigo, the associate who helped me, was very helpful and friendly. When we ran into some issues actually removing my old battery, Rodrigo did not get frustrated or impatient. Instead, he continued to try and find a solution to the issue we were having when he very much could've simply said "sorry, there's nothing I can do." I appreciated how he went above and beyond for something that was just a free service Advance Auto Parts offers.
