There are so many problems with this place. First, I made an appointment online for 0730 oil change. When I arrived at my appointment time, I was told that there was a queue of cars. Mind you, online appointment said that I will be given priority over walk-ins; however, that was not the case. I was treated like any other walk-in and had to wait in queue. What’s the point of making an appointment if this is the case. Second, by the time they got to my car which was 1 1/2 hour past my appointment time, they informed me that their compressor died and I had to go to a different shop. When I asked if I’ll be given priority, they said nothing. I walked out of this shop with disgust for wasting my time and disrespect. Never going back and telling my friends to avoid this location.

Got my tire patched in about 15min with amazing service right before closing!

Would leave zero stars if I could cuz they literally didn’t do anything. Left car before noon for safety inspection + oil change expecting it done by end of the day. Picked up the car at closing time with nothing done. Zero communication that original promise could not be kept. Somehow couldn’t even do the oil change in the 6+ hours the car was sitting in the lot.

The customer service was not up to standard. They tried to postpone my vehicle inspection until tomorrow even though there was plenty of time available today. As a result, I went to another inspection center nearby, and they accepted my car for inspection immediately without any hesitation.

Got work done on my car for $1700 —drove it home and all kinds of loud and weird noises upon driving-so bad did not feel comfortable driving it-asked them to come look at it or tow it but was told I had to bring it in -5 hours later apparently the “ wind” loosened something under the car causing the noise- had to pay for towing but more importantly missed a very important meeting —no apologies from the the store -despite I have been a long time customer-not cool —

This is not the strongest of locations for VT&A. Awkwardly placed, difficult parking area.
Went today, 11JUN26, called before going to see what their Inspection line looked like, I was told "we are free, come on it" by individual X. Walked in 3 minutes later, was checked in and was told "Oh, we have one in their now.. and you are next shouldn't be long" I gladly handed my keys and waited, the time was 1038.
I went across the street to Dunkin and came back, vehicle still in the same spot. Im sitting in the waiting area, Individual X takes a personal call and goes on a 7 minute tirade to someone on the other end thats echoing throughout the waiting area. Individual Z looks at me awkwardly and apologizes. I laugh it off.
The time is now 1130, truck still in same spot and I talk to Individual Z and ask whats the wait.. he says everyone is on lunch, if he gets in at 1145 he can get me on the road by 1215 the latest.
I decline and ask for my keys back. Im a realist and expect the same back in return. They could have saved the hour of my time and said "we have one in already, then lunch, so it will be a while" but thats not what happened instead, i was treated like another void and thrown in to have my time wasted.Jun 12, 2026 -
Picked up my car and was told everything was “good to go” but found out on my own that some of the work ordered could not have been completed because of the technician doing things in an incorrect order. Nothing was communicated to me before or at pickup. Was even given an incorrect bill that showed a charge for work not ultimately not completed.

I dropped my car at 3:25pm today (Saturday) for my 4:30pm oil change appt (and state inspection if they could fit it). They confirmed my oil change would be done before 6pm closing. It’s now 7:47pm with no call or update from them - and they’ll be closed till Monday morning and keeping my car till then without asking or confirming. I’ve tried to reach out with no response - and took my car back with my spare so VA tire and auto, you can call me when you open back so we can settle up. Unbelievable.

I got here at 1 20 pm I told them how long it would take to be done for oil change they told me 2 30 to 3 I told him I have an appointment at 3 and need to be done by 2 30 he said they will make sure be done earlier and I’m still waiting at 3 20 here and when I try to tell him he was rude about it. I will not recommend to come here

I had a great experience at Virginia Tire & Auto of Centreville. The staff was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure my car was taken care of properly. The service was quick, efficient, and fairly priced, which I really appreciated.
I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for reliable and honest auto service!Apr 28, 2026 -
I was towed to the VA. Tire & Auto a week ago in Centreville Va. due to a tire puncture on the highway. After showing me that my tire was punctured beyond repair, I noticed that my specialty air cap was missing, the customer service advisor “Mazen” found it and put it back on my tire valve. The next day I get a call that my vehicle is ready from “Mazen” for pickup. Upon inspection of my new tire, I notice my specialty air cap is missing again, not just that it was missing, but replaced with a generic air cap (I was mad).
I breathed and went back inside and expressed deep disappointment to Mazen about my missing air cap. Mazen inspected my tire valve, saw what I saw, he was also disappointed, the worker who worked on my tire didn’t know where they misplaced it and now I’m pissed.
Long story short Mazen asked me for the website where I purchased my specialty air caps and followed through with replacing them.
This location is getting 5- Stars based on “Mazen’s” integrity and customer service, not making excuses to the customer. Immediately fixing the problem, which shows me that this location has earned my continued business.
Thank you Mazen!Apr 02, 2026 -
Years ago, I've come to this tire shop and left with very mixed opinions. My mother in particular was very upset with their customer service. However, after my driver side tire went flat, I've come back to this establishment for repairs. Safe to say, their customer service and auto service quality has drastically improved. This shop recently had management changes, and the improvements are visible.

AJ and Marcus were great I came in late and they still found time to fit me in their schedule it was fast efficient and they were very attentive. I would definitely come back here again!

Carlos provided excellent customer service and found a way to get me my car back in much less time than expected. I'm a loyal customer and will return.

Approximately 4-5 years customer, I don’t think will come back again. Just Spend 2700 in Dec, with a lot of problems have to bring it to other auto service, have to refill brake fluid, engine oil within a month with just few hundred miles mileage, and didn’t remove the red engine sign etc…. I will revoke their credit card and never go back again.

Came in for an oil change on my 2017 RAV4 and AJ was great. He recommended the right oil for my vehicle and made the whole process smooth and easy.
At the end, my My Car Club card wouldn’t go through because I had previously frozen it and forgot to unfreeze it. AJ was incredibly patient and even helped speak with my bank to get everything sorted out.
Really appreciate the professionalism and kindness. Thank you, AJ!Feb 11, 2026 -
I’ve been a customer of the Centreville Virginia Tire & Auto for several years and the experience has been inconsistent.
I purchased tires and their protection plan, but when I later needed support, the coverage was denied based on requirements that were never explained at purchase or in the written warrant pamphlet. The in-store response was dismissive.
What disappointed me most was the lack of corporate follow-up. I contacted customer service through your portal and email and received no response, even with a time-sensitive state inspection issue.
I’m not trying to leave negative reviews. I simply expected better communication and accountability. Hoping someone from corporate reaches out to resolve this.Feb 11, 2026 -
This is my first review where all I can muster is "I can't even." Botched oil change, tech covered up mistake (corporate seemed ok with this) with an unauthorized and dangerous repair, would not even reimburse half the costs to make it right, tried to bribe me not to leave a review.
Full story:
[Oil spot on driveway.]
Me: That can't be right, VT&A Centreville just changed my oil a couple weeks ago. I've been going there over 10 years.
Husband: I told you so [after multiple bad experiences the last year with VT&A breaking parts on his sports car and covering it up].
> Checking oil level <
Me: Eek! The oil is almost gone! My engine could have seized while driving.
[After adding oil, takes car to dealer to see what's going on... ]
... Over $1,000 later, including oil pan disassembly, replacement, cleanup, and refill on oil ...
Dealer: Your mechanic [Virginia Tire & Auto Centreville] appears to have broken the threads on the oil pan, shoved the threads inside to hide them, and did an improper repair to cover up the issue, leading to the oil leak.
[See photo from dealer's diagnosis]
Me: ...
Me also: [Praising God my family and I didn't die because of this]
Me (to VT&A): [Shares the above.] What are you going to do to make this right?
VT&A response #1: Since you didn't trust us to fix this for you, we won't pay anything. But I'll check with corporate. Have a nice day.
Husband: [Files grievances with BBB and Virginia Consumer Relations]
VT&A response #2: Okay, fine, we'll pay for the $179 oil pan we broke but none of the labor nor refilling of oil because those are frivolous adds by the dealer.
Me to husband: So they would have put a new oil pan and no oil? Seriously?!?!
Husband: [Runs these responses by contacts related to existing grievances, who are floored!]
VT&A final response: We'll give you $500 but only if you promise, by signing this legally binding agreement, not to leave a bad review and to close all grievances as satisfied.
Me: Hi. This is me sacrificing $500 so you can keep yourself and your family safe from Virginia Tire & Auto Centreville.Jan 08, 2026 -
I went in for an oil change, made an appointment for 9:30, still had to wait 2 hours. Then, when i got my car back, they didn’t put a service sticker on it, and my “maintenance due soon” light was still on. The guy asked me how many miles my car had, i told him, then he gave me a sticker he went in the back and made real quick. Then, he showed me how to calibrate the maintenance req’d light. Bad service overall, that is their job to do, not mine. I won’t be coming back.

1 star since 0 isn't an option. I've been a Car Club member for 10 years. Today I tore my card up. They Always leave you with a long, and completely different, to do list. Today's list($560) included 2 items I had just replaced days ago! Incompetence or dishonesty, I assume the later, is systemic. No apologies. Nothing. I WON'T GO BACK!!! PLEASE LOOK FOR AN HONEST SHOP. CENTREVILLE VA. TIRE AIN'T IT!!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful but pricing has gotten out of controll. I was looking for a brake and rotor change on a basic SUV. Google, and previous years of having this done say it should be a 2-3 hour job. I did it in my driveway years ago in 3 and that was with a basic jack and one tire at a time. So how can the price quote be $1500. I can get top of the line brakes and rotors for $400. They definitely get and use cheaper. But lets say parts are $400 and it takes 3 hours. Then I'm paying $900 in labor ($300 an hour)?????
Are you kidding me. And we all know the mechanics arent seeing even a quarter of that so another commerical business of pure greed.
Seriously what happened to honest and fair pricing. We need more local mechanicsNov 12, 2025 -
I blew a tire when I was close to this shop. My friend and I had been traveling for 24 hours. We were headed for Charlottesville from Dulles. Mazen found the correct tires at a reasonable price and had us in and out in one hour. Because of his kindness and efficiency we got on the road and arrived home safely and had very little traffic. My wife dropped her car off for an alignment and oil change. This was the second time in for service she did not get a call stating the car was ready. Her phone number was updated upon drop-off. She called to inquire around 5:00 and the reply was "oh, sorry about that". They close at 6:00 and I work too far away. She had to walk over 2 miles to get there before they closed because there is no shuttle on Mondays! Their lousy attitude and lack of sincerity has prompted us never to use them again. I do not recommend this place to anyone. AJ's attitude simply sucked. He didn't seem to give a damn!

Had an unexpected flat near Centreville. Googled your business and made it there on a busy Thursday. Your staff was able to help and was very professional. I ended getting tires all around and my second car is about ready for a new set. I will definitely be bringing my other vehicle to Virginia Tire at your Springfield location.....as it's closer to my home. Your prices were spot on competitive with other retailers in the area.

I was told that it would be an hour to do a tire rotation. Despite coming in at 7:33AM and booking an appointment online, it is now 9:08AM and I am still here at this place. At what point is your time more valuable than money. I am disappointed because I come here for all my cars and recommend them to friends and family. In the past, I would do tire rotations and would be in and out in an hour. I am astonished as to why its taking more than 90 minutes despite booking an appointment in advance and being a Car Care member.

Got a nail in my tire on the way home from work and coasted into the VA Tire & Auto parking lot with 30 minutes left until closing. The guys on their team were awesome, and they got it patched in time for me to drive it out the same evening. Really appreciate the hard work and kindness from the crew. Thanks everyone!

We were passing through on our way home and our tire light came on. The gentleman at the front desk were extremely helpful. They were able to check the tire pressure, inspect the tire, and add air so we were able to be back on the road in a very timely manner. Very courteous, friendly, and helpful! I would recommend this Virginia Tire & Auto location in Centreville.

I have had my car serviced regularly through Virginia tire and auto since last 5 years but this specific location has been nothing but a bad bad experience. I got my oil changed and noticed some oil burning in my cabin after some days, when i popped the hood open i found out that they had not put any engine oil cap.
In previous instance, i was charged extra for almost 50 dollars extra as they did not provide me with any discount that came with my my Car Club membership (includes discount on labor, free tire rotations etc). When i later confronted them ( not once but twice) they would simply send me back saying the manager would contact me within some days. One day they said the manager is in his lunch and would call me back immediately after which i never received. I have had every single of my car repairs and works done through Va tire and auto, and it is very sad i have to move away due to poor professionalism in this location. If you find any other location, VA tire and auto take care of your car in great way but this location lacks that extra love for your vehicle which they usually provide.Feb 06, 2024 -
I just had all three of our vehicles oil changed and all three were in a timely manor!
Communication was punctual and staff was kind. Shout-out to Kay at the front desk who not only had my name memorized but also other customers as well!
Kay had a very strong/welcoming personality and made this location VA tire/auto stand out to me.Sep 19, 2023
