Burke Auto Service Experts has provided us car care for vehicle safety and emission inspections, tire pressure and sensor issues, and bulb changes. They are professional, fairly priced, communicate car services thoroughly and honestly, and are timely in their responses when calling for appointments and letting you known when your car is ready for pick up. Dolores at the front desk is extremely kind and knows how to multitask with grace and provide excellent customer service.

Pete is great! My friends car wouldn’t start in the parking lot in front of Chipotle and he came by to try to help. It was an issue with the starter so he couldn’t fix it that moment but he was chill and tried regardless!! Out of sheer luck the car started after he left so we drove by to let him know and celebrated lmao

I've been going to Burke Auto for 25 years. They are wonderful. I've found them to be very good at diagnosing and repairing the issues I've had with my cars, some of which were older, high milgeage autos. I've found them to be be very honest. When something does not need repair yet, they let me know. They always give me options to repair or replace parts. Once I had my Toyota dealer give me a list of $5,000 worth of repairs, and then took it to Burke Auto who told me most of the problems were not issues that needed to be fixed. If Burke fixes a problem and it doesn't go away, they have been very kind about redoing the work or charging me less to repair something else. They are intelligent mechanics I really trust. I highly recommend them.

Nikki is great! I have an old truck, and she was more than helpful fixing issues I didn't even know about (including making new brake lines herself saving me $250+). She was very passionate about her work, and very communicative about timeframes. She saved me a ton of money, which as a college student is wonderful and will totally have me coming back here for any future issues.

The shop was pretty busy when we came in. In passing Nikki on her break we chatted about our dogs and she squeezed us for service last minute. Nikki was wonderful and very helpful!

You all did an excellent job.. Burke Auto Service Experts.. changed two flat tires did an alignment and completed a VA State Safety inspection all in one day. They worked with me on the price and I was very satisfied with their service and professionalism.

I’ve used them twice now. I love this place. Honest. Transparent. And FAST. They are super friendly (Delores at the front desk especially). Plus, if your repair will take a few hours, literally next door to Starbucks and Chipotle, and a nice Thai restaurant. Very happy I found this place

Before bringing your car here, come in on a Saturday. Wear a bodycam/recorder. Blonde jokes and insults are to be expected. If you like how you're treated, then this is the shop for you. If not, bring the evidence to the owner. Decide how you feel afterwards.

Burke Auto has serviced all our cars for the 15 years we lived in Fairfax. We moved last year but was driving through the area and had some car trouble. We got there as they opened today and Buddy rearranged his schedule so he could repair our car and get us on the road home. I am so grateful to be able to know I am getting honest reliable car care. I wish I could take the whole shop home with us- we haven’t found anyone in North Carolina to replace these awesome people. Thanks Buddy!

I’ve brought my car to them three times in the past few months trying to diagnose a reoccurring squeaking while I drive. They’ve changed the breaks and a couple other things but the mechanic says he doesn’t hear the loud squealing when he drove my car around. Not sure how you could miss it when it is nearly constant. Trying another mechanic who can hopefully be more helpful.

BASE is the best auto shop in Burke! Super friendly, fast, and reliable service - Trey is the man! I recently had to drop a vehicle off here for work and was planning to call an Uber home. As I’m talking to myself out loud about that Trey chimes in and ask if I’d like to use one of their vehicles so I can get around. Umm, HELL YEA! That made my day go so much easier and smoother with that kind gesture. If you need some kind of auto service go here and you won’t be disappointed!!

Was quoted over $500 for a repair at the dealership that would've taken hours. Burke Auto Service got it done in two, offered me a loaner, and did the fix for nearly a quarter of what the dealer was going to charge (including having my car re-inspected). Great people and service. Highly recommend.

Got an estimate from another reputable shop for major work on my used car and Burke Auto Service beat it by $200. In addition, they gave me a loaner car to use for free except pay for gas. Car runs great now. Would trust the shop.

Dropped my car off to fix a noise coming from the wheel and a noise coming from closing the driver door. Technician said they did not hear a noise so they changed the brake pads and rotors assuming that screeching was the noise. That is not the noise I keep hearing. Paid $600 for a new set of brake pads and rotors and left the shop. Not only is the door still creaking but the noise from the wheel is still there and I've heard it every single time i get in the car. Oh and the brakes that I just replaced are screeching. It's extremely hard not to be skeptical about mechanics but there's not a chance in hell I'll be giving Burke Auto another cent

I got my oil changed elsewhere and walked away with a long list of recommendations that I didn't trust (separate story) ... I went to Burke Auto Service Experts for a second opinion and they looked at the recommendations, listened to my concerns, and other car history and did a review - I felt like I received an honest and reliable analysis of the state of my car, debunking some of the recommendations I received elsewhere with full explanation of why. Gave me a few things to consider for the next couple of years and didn't even charge me. Will definitely go back for future service and would recommend!

New to the area and used Burke Auto Service Experts primarily to address a check engine light, which was keeping us from getting an emissions test. They also did an oil change and alignment. Everything was done just as requested and relatively quickly. When the work was complete, John called to explain everything that had (and hadn't) been done with respect to the check engine light. It was apparent that they didn't undertake any unnecessary repairs. Honest and fair service, and we'll be back in the future.

All the services I needed (coolant and oil change, brake pads replacement, emissions test, safety inspection) were performed quickly and priced reasonably. Most of all no sales push - at other quick oil change place I was told break fluid and transmission oil needs to be changed, here they checked all of that and guess what... all fluids were good. Great customer service! Update: a couple years later this is still the mechanic of choice.

This auto shop is legit. They will not mess with you, they are trustworthy and will give you the rundown on repairs in a straightforward way. They will work with you and only do what you can afford. They will also work out a payment plan if you need one. Buddy (the owner) is always willing to help out in any way he can and is also an incredibly good guy. They can get you a tow, a cup of coffee, and a ride home in no time. Treat them with respect and they will go above and beyond for you. I have known the employees at this shop for over 20 years, they are solid and have always been reliable. Highly recommend.

Honest and friendly. They go out of their way to make your visit enjoyable. The first time I went there, I had an emergency issue with my car. They gave me a loaner van so I could take my children home. They quickly discovered that my car had a newly- identified recall issue and told me to have it towed to the dealership to get it repaired for free. Yes, they could have done the work but wanted me to save money. They also told me how I could get my car towed for free. After all they did for me, they refused to take any money! They made an extremely stressful situation much easier to deal with. They're the best!

Great service and fair prices. I’ve had personal vehicles serviced here over the years and they have always provided professional service. Technicians call to discuss issues and have provided a good explanation of costs. Burke Auto Service Express has significantly cheaper than dealer with services and I’ve not had any issues with repairs (brakes, AC compressor etc.)

Decide to check out Burke Auto Service Experts after my dealer recommended really expensive repairs that I don't think I needed. I showed them the service invoices for my car and discussed what work had been done in the past, and asked for a quick tour of the undercarriage to make sure everything was okay. They showed me the items that the dealer recommended and told me why they did not need to be repaired on a car my car's age (normal wear and minor leaks that aren't worth fixing) as well as took care of the one thing that needed to be fixed, the brakes. They also quoted me a really good price for replacement tires as mine were a bit worn but also told me that they were not necessary if I could live with some road noise. They loaned me an old van to drive for the day, which was really useful as I could go to work and take care of things while my car was in the shop. I really appreciate that they took time to review things that they knew I would not fix. I plan to go back to them for all my future car service.

If you are getting work done, make a reservation if possible and ask any questions you have about services rendered. The staff is knowledgeable and focused on solving any/all car related issues. In some cases, they may loan a company van to patrons while they wait. This indicates a real effort to accommodate customer needs.

I was recommended to Burke Auto Services by a friend whose family has used their services for years. In my experience, the staff are friendly and professional. Vehicle turnaround is prompt and the price for the service I needed came in at the lower end of the quote they gave me prior to the service. I've found that they have good communication and are good about addressing unexpected issues. Two items that I considered to be negative (but may not be for you). I compared their quoted service cost with a quick search of market prices and found that their prices are on the higher end of the range. Their good communication and quick turnaround makes me more willing to pay higher prices, as well as supporting a local business. The waiting area does smell of cigarette smoke but it's not overpowering. Overall, I would have no worries about taking my car back to them for service again.

I like Buddy and they offer many benefits. Loaners, good advice, and quick service are at the top. But, his prices are a bit higher than other local Auto service places. Synthetic oil change is $76 and regular oil change is over $40. When I asked about it he said he uses best parts and has to keep his good employees plus he mentioned increased location costs. Probably true and sometimes worth it. My recommendation, get regular services like oil changes at another low-cost neighborhood location but trust Buddy for major repairs where you need your car fixed right!! But if you want to have a long term, trusted auto repair relationship this is a good place.
