Used the Autozone Fix Finder at the Tappahannock, VA store this morning. First - grateful to see the store was open on Labor Day! Second-greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff. Third- the manager was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain all the codes in detail (I think her name was Sharnel N.?) I left feeling well taken care of. I wish she could be my mechanic!
Awesome spot for auto parts not to mention most AutoZone parts come with a lifetime guarantee. They also have good prices and a membership program where if you make five purchases of $20 or more you earn a $20 credit to use in the store.
They were so helpful when my battery exploded. It was in pieces and they helped replace it and discard what was left of it. I've gone out of my way to shop here because of it when I need something.
If you plan on returning an item to AutoZone forget about it. I purchased leds on feb 12th and its feb 27th and i have the receipt returning do to flickering after a while of use. They wouldn't return them. Will not buy from here again.
Nice clean store inside & out. I was having a problem with my battery. Now Tappahannock has a few auto stores but my son recommended Auto Zone so there I went. You know how hot it was last week but when I explained my problem to the young man at the counter he had no hesitation in coming outside with the tester. He showed me the results, discussed my battery options, placed my new battery in ...and checked my fluids! All with a smile and nice chatter. Don't let me forget to mention...great staffing and instock. Auto Zone is now my choice of auto stores in our area. 😊
I went in the store today to pick up some chemical guy’s wash and wax. I had no idea where anything was or even what I was looking for! Sharnel Smith saw that I was struggling and she jumped in and helped me find what I needed and even suggested these really nice microfiber towels which was worth it. I will be coming back for all my auto purchases! Thanks guys
Fair prices, but after a dead battery. Asking a stranger 4 a jump. Finally arriving at the store only to have no tools & no help changing the battery from the staff. I asked 3 times! If they had treated my daughter like this, well they are not the best store around. If u can, go somewhere else.
I was not given military discount on my purchase of a car battery, jumping cable or battery clamps even though I asked. I will not be shopping here again.
These guys are the best! Ordered a battery this morning. Got here at the time they suggested. And out in the freezing wind, put the battery in for me. I will continue to go to Tappahannock Auto Zone for my car needs. Thank you, guys!
Most confused auto parts store I’ve had to deal with. First issue I was sold a part got to the mechanic to find the part in the box was old and rusted. Second issue, this is the second time a part was supposed to be ordered Ian’s shipped by the next day. Next day comes and no part was ordered no record of anything after I specifically asked if the part needed to be prepaid and told no. When I call to confirm the part is there the rep seemed to not have the best customer service. Unorganized, rude, and very bad experiences with this store!
I am a local business with a commercial account and I called to order parts and they had me on hold for over 30 minutes and when they didn’t answer it was just to put me on hold longer then when I was finally able to speak with someone they couldn’t find my account info so that set me back 45 minutes total not very good for a busy shop
This place needs knowledge. They either just do not know what they are giving you or they have nasty attitudes. I suggested if your not going to a mechanic ,use advance.. Chris is very easy to get along with. He and the staff have A little better mechanical skills.

I wanna give a great big shout out to Mark! I came in today and needed windshield wipers for my car and he was very helpful! This will always be my go to store. Theres always a smiling face when I come thru the door and the associates are always willing to help!
In January of 2019 I bought a $250 optima battery, got home and was disappointed to realize that it had corrosion on posts, under plastic tabs and had a date of 9-17 on it. When I came back to ask about it, I was ignored.
Lack of help upon entering, No greetings And misplaced items on shelves. Went to buy an item from said store. upon getting ready to cash out was told it was not on sale an i would have to play the full price. Despite having signs advertising a sale.
