How this place stays open is beyond me. Every time I walk in I’m looked at like I’m a hassle. If something looks like it will take more than 30 seconds they’ll make an excuse as to why they can’t. I’d imagine their sales would skyrocket if you removed the current management and staff. It’s 2 minutes from my house but I always end up driving 10 miles for helpful and competent customer service.

Almost always a bad experience for me and my husband. We find some of the workers (not all) to be especially rude and condescending here. Unpleasant. We go to the Advanced around the corner or O'Reilly permanently now.

It was Wednesday, December 10th at approximately 6:25 p.m. when I visited the Auto Zone located at Wilson Village shopping center next to Taylor’s Do It Center. Mind you the traffic was ridiculously slow as molasses coming from highway 64. Needless to say, it took almost an hour to get to the Auto Zone. So happy I found the store! I purchased a windshield wiper fluid. The man with the gray shirt helped me which fluid to use. I asked him if the fluid is the appropriate fluid for a Honda. He responded with sarcasm. I purchased the windshield wiper fluid and I asked him nicely if he can help me put the fluid in or fill my car where it needs to be filled. I’m absolutely clueless and I don’t know anything about cars. Usually, NTB helped with my car maintenance. They offer an exceptional customer service even though it’s not the service they offer. I went to NTB first but unfortunately they don’t sell items such as windshield wiper fluids. The representative did offer to order the fluid from the Auto Zone but I have to wait for an hour. He did mentioned that the sales associate should be able to helped, However, after purchasing the windshield wiper fluid, the sales associate from the Auto Zone (man in the gray shirt) refused to helped me due to insurance something. He doesn’t want to be responsible if it’s was incorrectly applied. I mean, you work for the Auto Zone and you should know. I’m disappointed with the service provided.. I’ll stick with NTB no matter how long the wait. I would rather be treated the way a customer should be treated. Wishing NTB can find another store versus Auto Zone to order the products. I don’t mind paying extra just to avoid such store (Auto Zone) who provides poor customer service. My first time and my last visit.

Came in for a new battery and Bob S. came through and installed it for me! Super nice and friendly technician! Pleasant experience all around! Definitely recommend coming here if you need a battery looked at or installed!

John T. is what a 5-star customer service represents. Friendly from the beginning, listened to my problems, then took the initiative to double check everything was working correctly on my car to make sure any purchase was necessary. He did it all professionally and above all with genuine.

I returned to this store after bad experiences 5 years ago. This time, the cashier was rude and my overall experience with other employees in the store was unpleasant. I guess they’re keeping it consistent.

The stores physically are all the same. The staff makes everything happen. I got great service here. Came looking for a belt for an old and modified engine. With just some potential measurements in hand they were happy to look things up and helped me search for what I needed which took time and lots of searching through inventory in the back. No even a hint of frustration and they found both what I thought I needed and some alternatives to try if that wasn’t right. Spot on.

They had exactly what I needed and they were able to look it up to make sure it was a exact fit for my vehicle. This is not my usual go to store but I was on the road traveling and specifically sought out an AutoZone and I'm glad I did.

They no longer install batteries that you purchase there. I bought a battery online for my daughter’s car, she showed up and autozone said they wouldn’t install it for her. Thanks for nothing Battlefield Autozone.

I will say the store looks pretty good, but the guy in there named Cody.. tattoos, glasses, beard... he is extremely rude, he was very rude to me when helping me and after he was done helping another guest he was saying mean things about that guest once they walked out and I could hear him down the aisle. No one forced you to work at autozone, if you hate your job then leave instead of having to be rude and spread your misery.

Zachary was extremely helpful in replacing my dead battery. He persisted in working some challenges as "frozen" bolts until the job was complete-all for the cost of the battery! Thank you AutoZone for employing such professionals. -retired Military.

This is my go to spot for parts and knowledge. The staff (Joe and Murph specifically but not limited to) are knowledgeable and caring. Every time I walk in I am greeted and asked how they can assist. I have had many discussions about car projects and I get many answers and discussions from all the employees. They take the time and care. I really appreciate this place and the people that work here. Thank you.

Service rep was rude. When we were checking out to purchase a battery he mentioned giving us the money back for the core if we brought back the old battery. I asked don’t you guys swap out batteries? He said not right now I’m not. There were three service reps and three customers including us.
We went down the road to advanced and got the battery slightly cheaper and the battery swapped out in less than five minutes.Jan 25, 2025 -
In the last few years i have gone here, i can unfortunately only say i have had good experiences when dealing with workers other than the manager, joe, as well as a small number of other older male workers. Whether it is being questioned about a part i am buying and being told in a condescending manner that the part wont fit my vehicle, when it ends up fitting perfectly, or just giving me an attitude because he has to do his job, its always a negative experience with him. If you know what you are looking for and you don’t have an issue with a few unexperienced workers telling you that you are wrong because the computer says so, then by all means come to this establishment. However, if you are not very knowledgeable and would like to be welcomed and informed when you buy parts, i suggest you go to the advanced autozone down the street. At the very least their customer service is decent and consistent.

Every time I go in this store, the manager has a horrible attitude. Walk in today door open, lights on all I needed was a pack of bulbs in the isle and they could not do it because they were not open, then why was the door open.

8/23 @ 12:55 pm. Went to auto zone on Chesapeake to return a battery (for my car) we order online . I said I have a return and said it was in the trunk of my car and I ask the guy (big guy,tall) if he could help get it out of the back of my car; because for me it was heavy. His attitude was that I irritated him by just being there. When he did go to out to get the battery he instantly said I did not by it here and broughtit in the store. I said I have a receipt. While I was looking for the receipt on my phone, the attitude was hurry up. Even though I was the only person in there. Another woman came, he said do u need something quick as to hurry her as well.
Not giving the "store" a one star but the EMPLOYEE. He seemed annoyed and indigent. Auto zone system indicated my purchase did not show even though we order it online on your website. I assumed all auto zones where connected so if I bought it in another store info would come up. Guess not. I've never met such a rude people who will call you a liar to your face about a purchase. I'm disgusted at the service I received. I've never returned a thing to AutoZone. Just so we're clear I did have the receipt to return the item. I'd advise you to shop someplace else. Maybe they'll treat you better than they did.

I recently had an emergency with my vehicle.
I stopped into this AutoZone, looking for parts and advice. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly.
I quickly had everything I needed and a little extra advice to help me along the way.
Bob was extra courteous and took the time to make sure I understood what I was purchasing and how to use it.

Can't really say the same for the manager who yelled at Zach for discussing a separate matter with an older gentleman. A better way of handling that would have been to pull him aside and ask that he assist those waiting in line as opposed to already finished or even handing him a note. Heck there was an entirely other employee sitting right there not doing anything and made eye contact with me several times. Just played on his phone. Either way, it's not very professional to call out someone in front of others, especially if you want to be titled, "manager." I’m gonna start by saying that I’ve been a loyal customer for 16 years find everything from Autozone. I talk to a guy name Zack this week about an engine for my work van, a new rebuilt block engine. I was told that the engine was the one that fit my vehicle. Zack had verified with the new tech who rebuild engine that that was the correct size. I agree with Zack to come in the next day around 8 PM to pay for the engine block and accessories. I came to store and asked for him. He was not there and talk to another guy, then this guys called the manager asked about it. So manager Answer very rude oh, you can’t buy this engine until you call the manufacturer that reBuilt the engine, blah blah blah. He did not let finish explaining So I turned around and walk away and said thank you for Nothing. Manager (big tall guy with beird) screaming to me.been extremely unpleasant situation and very rude that I wasn’t letting him help And the only thing that I said was that I had called and spoke to Zack. Today I call again ask for Zack. He answer the phone and he denied knowing that I talked To him, I asked twice and he said the same thing like he didn’t know me. This does not take helping people seriously make their waste of time. I have never left a bad review if if could leave them a -5 stars I would. This is how they repay loyalty for a customer that will be spending thousands of dollars Since 16 years ago, I would never come back to I’ll take my business elsewhere, where they appreciate customer and loyalty I’m going to a competitor store where have top managers and employee that wants to help others.

I called asking if they do tool rentals. I was informed yes, so I drove to the store. When I got there and asked for the tool the manager told me I can go check the aisle. I told him I just called and was told I can rent the tool. “Yeah, we don’t do that.” And then he walked away.
Manager couldn’t care less to make eye contact or even be bothered to show us where anything was.

I went to the Auto Zone in Great Bridge off of Battlefield and Johnstown last night because my low beam light was out. One of the employees was out smoking around 8 pm. I ask him if he could change the light and he stated that they couldn’t do it and then his hands were too big. So I ask which one is your hand to or you just didn’t want to do it. I returned on 3/14 again employee standing outside smoking I ask him if he could change the light and he said yes but he was on lunch and I told I would wait. When I purchased to lights and waited 20 minutes. So went to return the lights because the company service was horrible. The store manager showed no considered a long with the other employees. Stephanie apologized and as we were walking out another employee which I did not get his name yelled out that she should not mess with the light.Customer Service has really gone out the door. And I will not spend my money in this location again. I appreciate Stephanie for trying to help. The store manager and the other employees need to work on Customer Service .
