I needed a lower ball joint replaced on my Ford F250 within 3 days for an upcoming RV trip. Taylor's was recommended by a friend after I got half a dozen "can't do it that fast" from area dealers and independent shops. Raleigh got me checked in within an hour if calling and has the truck back to me in 24 hours. That is customer service!

This shop is a hidden gem. They restored my faith in humanity, so thank you! I highly recommend them so if you have any kind of car needs, take your car here!

I explained the problem, they were able to verify my suspicion & was able to get the new part immediately, made repair & returned my vehicle in just 2 days & was charged a fair price. Very happy with the work performed, they didn't try to "up-sale" me on anything, nor try to offer any additional services other than what I NEEDED done. I will definitely recommend Taylor's Automotive to others & return there myself if needed for any future repairs.

Medium-sized automotive repair place that also does state inspections. Clean facility Seems to be fair and honest The majority of the employees are pleasant while others are not as much. Came in for state inspection And was out in 20 minutes. They are very thorough in their work. Thank you

It's not often you find friendly, honest and competent folks to work on your vehicle. I'm happy to say that this is one of those shops. Their prices are reasonable and they do good work. They were highly recommended by my friends, and now I know why. UPDATE: It has been 7 years since my initial review so I figured it was time to update it. Taylor's is still THE BEST shop I have found in the area. They'll let you know what needs to be "fixed now" versus what can wait. I drive about half an hour to get to them...it is worth the drive. I've never had a question about their competence or integrity. A great place for repairs, both big and small. 2ND UPDATE: April 2024. I took my 2014 Pilot to them with a laundry list of maintenance that needed to be done. One of the items noted on the Honda maintenance schedule was “check and adjust valve clearance”. Since I don’t know much about the inner workings of engines, I added that to the list. A less reputable mechanic could have said “yep, we checked them” and had done nothing in reality. They called me and told me “you don’t need this…if there was a problem, you’d be able to hear it”. Have you ever heard of a mechanic being so honest that they tell you what not to get done? This is the reason I have been going to these guys for years and have referred tons of other folks to them as well.

After several years of great service, we have experienced a complete 180 degree change in the last few weeks with Taylors. I took in my vehicle for an inspection, oil change, and tire alignment. I also asked for a good once over because I was going to be going on a trip. Got the vehicle back, no issues reported. The next morning I noticed an oil stain on our driveway. I looked under and saw oil actively (slowly) dripping from the oil plug area. The oil was extremely dark, which I thought was odd for a new change but whatever, I took it back and told them the issue. They put the vehicle up right away, took a look at it, and told me that there must have been some overspill at the top where the filter is and it dripped down, that the oil pan plug was tight, there seemed to be no other issue. I get it home, and within two hours I see a new oil spot. I wiped off the oil plug area and laid a clean rag under to watch progression. An hour later, still more oil dripping out. I popped the hood and as I checked I saw that the oil dipstick showed not only dark oil but that it was either overfilled or extremely overfilled. There was also oil emulsion on the oil cap. And I happened to notice the coolant reserve tank was almost completely empty, only about a 1/4 inch of fluid visible in the bottom of the "funnel". Power steering fluid way below the "cold low" line, and my battery looked horrible with corrosion. The power steering should have been topped off and I would have hoped they would have brought to my attention that the battery probably needs to be changed, but nope. Now concerned about my coolant, and the oil that was dripping out all weekend, we take my vehicle back, explain all the issues, and we had contacted them (not the other way around) the next day, they said come pick it up, they did an entire second new oil change and topped off all fluids and checked everything and it's all fine. I immediately took my vehicle to another trusted mechanic who did a pressure test on my radiator and lo and behold I have a crack, I could see it with my own eyes. You can even see the old fluid marks left from who knows how long of the coolant dripping. Also there was nice new clean light oil on the dipstick, just as I had expected it to look the first time. My assessment is that they did not pressure test the radiator (a very easy and baseline test for a radiator/coolant leak) when we took it back, and whoever did the initial oil change either didn't drain the old oil out, barely did, or they put in the wrong oil the first time, and either way it was way too much. The distinct difference in oil color is simple enough evidence, and yes I know oil changes color with time, can be different colors when it's new, etc, but this was old oil, plain and simple. Either way, I canceled my trip which was bad enough, but I brought issues to their attention twice and both times they did nothing to resolve it and I could have done serious damage to my vehicle if I hadn't checked further myself. I'm not a mechanic, but I have eyes that work, and I care about my vehicle, something I'm convinced Taylors no longer does. Oh and insult to injury, I checked our other vehicle that we also have serviced there, opened the hood, and found the oil cap off and sitting in the cowl of the hood/windshield. Been driving around for months with the oil cap off. I know oil changes are usually delegated to a junior person, but come on, does NO ONE care about any basic vehicle service any more? Thoroughly disappointed with them, will never go back, and will not recommend them at this point. They've expanded and are probably cutting corners to compensate.

If I could leave no stars I would! We're extremely dissatisfied with the service we received at Taylor's Automotive Service. In November, my husband took his vehicle to Taylor's for a timing belt issue, having already replaced the water pump and other parts himself. Despite discussing the issue with management and providing a list of completed work so they knew what he had done, Taylor's replaced the brand new water pump without permission. When we picked up the vehicle, we were told the engine was seized, but not about the unnecessary water pump replacement they had done without permission. When my husband questioned the replacement, and the cost, Taylor's staff LIED, claiming they had called and received permission from my husband. They had not called other than to say the engine had seized which would make sense, when we only wanted a diagnosis. And why would we want to replace a new water pump on a vehicle that had a seized engine? We just wanted to confirm our suspicions that it was done for. This lack of transparency and professionalism was shocking, especially given our years of loyalty to them. The complaint process was also handled poorly, with staff being rude and unhelpful. The experience was costly, with unnecessary labor and parts charges. We were expecting a diagnosis, but instead, we paid for a new water pump that was fours times the cost of the one my husband had put in from Rock Auto two weeks prior, and 4 hours of labor for a vehicle that was already deemed undrivable. It's clear that Taylor's service has declined, and we won't be returning.

This place is the best! Had a very difficult situation with a part for our Ford being nationally backordered. They kept the pressure on and sought creative solutions for us while we waited. When it seemed like there was no end in sight to getting our part, we got the phone call that it came in. These guys were advocates for us and we are supremely grateful!!

They don't upsell. Went in and already knew what needed repairs. They did exactly as I asked and didn't try to sell me additional parts. I'm also convinced that they don't go by "book hours" but actual hours spent on the job, which will save you money. They also offer free inspections if you have them do the repairs after inspection. I am so thankful I found this shop.

Quick, attentive, professional, respectful, hard working….there are not enough ways to positively describe a Taylor’s Automotive experience. I wish I had taken my vehicles there sooner. Look no further and support a shop that has supported the community for years.

Taylor’s is the only place we take our vehicles for service. They’ll answer any questions or concerns you may have without trying to “up-sell” you on unnecessary services. Took my mother in laws car there after another garage failed the inspection claiming it needs $650 of front end work. Taylor’s found nothing wrong with it….. and that was two years ago. She’s still driving it and it handles perfectly!

Taylor Automotive has been great to us since our first visit, and have more than earned us as a lifetime customer. They are quick to resolution and have immaculate customer service. Big thanks to the whole Taylor family and crew!

We recently had a brand new engine installed in our 2018 Ford Mustang and the installation happened much quicker than expected. The Mustang runs brand new again. Their customer service is 5 star. We mostly spoke with Chuck but every one else's customer service was 5 star as well. The price for the engine was great and we'll absolutely recommend Taylor's Automotive to anyone. We are beyond satisfied .

By far the worst mechanic shop ive ever had to deal with. They had my work van for almost 3 months for a broken bolt and havent even gotten to it. I call and itll be Monday, Monday i call its Friday, Friday i call, its Monday! I wouldnt pay them to fix my hot wheels. When i asked why its been over 2 months the response was "you can come get it for all i care". Horrible people and business practices

When driving a narrow back road I was unfamiliar with, I went off the edge of the road. Instead of a shoulder, there was a 4 foot drop into a ditch, so my truck was hung up at 45 degree angle. A wrecker got me back on the road, but I was worried about any undercarriage damage. We were camping and scheduled to leave in a day, towing a camper behind us. I called Taylor's and they said they would work me in and in less then an hour they had my truck on the rack, and even test drove it. They gave it a good bill of health, which will make the trip home less stressful. Great folks that care about not only their customers, but judging by the awards and plaques of recognition from various groups, the whole community. I highly recommend them.

Super happy with the services I've received here. Started with a few state inspections. Then my Jeep kept saying it needed a new catalytic converter but Taylor's advised the converter was fine & replaced the 02 sensors which saved me a lot of money & was the true problem. The local dealer was not as thorough as Taylor's & let's be honest, these guys are just nice people. I felt like a customer & was treated well. I will definitely use them again.

Got tired of waiting 3 hours at my dealer for a state inspection so I started going here. Well worth it! They are fast and and always friendly. I recently needed a part installed and it was done quickly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend!

Awesome team of mechanics! Took my car to get inspected this morning and completed within 45 minutes! They do not look for something wrong like most other places to make money! Very honest and friendly! Will definitely recommend and be back for all vehicle issues!

I spent a few thousand having some coil packs, spark plugs, and brakes fixed. I explained the issue with the brakes thoroughly. While the other aspects of the fixes went great, the brakes ended up entirely replaced with not only the one issue of bled brakes not fixed, but with lights on my dash to boot that weren’t there prior. They were extremely courteous, but just ran me around in circles about a fundamental issue they didn’t understand. Highly disappointed. Would not advise wasting lots of money here to have more problems after the fact. (Was told all the mechanics test drove it and no issues at all, yet had the first mechanic outside this establishment immediately notice my issue). I know there’s great auto shops, just feel misled on this place. Go somewhere else.

Awesome people! They fixed my transmission (Nissan Pathfinder) and saved me from the dealer and their price gouging. I have been rolling ever since. Fair pricing and very honest on costs and time frame of work to be done. I highly recommend. Thank you Mr. Taylor and son!!!!

Very impressed with the quality of work - one being the muffler. When my brother drove my car home - my dogs didn't even move whereas in the past they heard it coming from over three blocks away. Even with an additional task I called in later, I received my vehicle back in ONE DAY! Exceptional customer service, friendly, and honest pricing.
