These guys are on it. After calling four other towing companies, they were the ones who actually responded (how are you available 24/7, but have no trucks available?!?). They arrived 15 minutes after I hung up. He tried jump starting my truck again and got me up and running immediately. I will most definitely be using them exclusively and recommending them to anyone who needs roadside assistance.

Spouse was in a car wreck and we do not live in the state the accident occurred, called to pay bill and was informed they would not take payment over the phone. This towing location is out of the way for us. They are tacking on fees everyday its not paid even after offering to pay our bill on the phone. It has been less than a week since the accident
I was from out of town on my way through Chesapeake to identify the body of my recently passed brother-in-law. The guys at Hickory not only got me to a shop to look at my car within a half hour, they called in a favor with the owner and helped me get the car looked at very quickly. Incredibly guys. Can’t recommend enough.
Driver accidentally towed my vehicle 30 miles from my house. I asked it to be 5miles to my dealership. They dont follow request.
They Never apologized. They cause me so my grief to get my car back. I believe they are in cahoots with certain dealerships to get money on the side. Don't use them.

After calling in to USAA they advise us to go out and find someone as they were backed up for a few days. Hickory Towing not only picked up our first car within 20 minutes but grabbed the second one right afterwards. AND they were less expensive! Love local companies!
We were walking tonight down the road against the grain of traffic at the Luke Bryan concert tonight and 2 guys on a golf cart offered to take us to our friends car at the end of the road so we didn’t have to walk to meet him. We tried to tip and they refused. We found out they were from hickory towing and just offering rides as a kind gesture. Super sweet and will recommend their business!
Not even reviewing on their service but on the fact that their tow truck drivers clearly have road rage. I was trying to merge onto 64 the other day and had plenty of room to do so and saw the tow truck and then watched as they purposely sped up as my lane was coming to an end to block me. Had to swerve off the interstate and run onto the shoulder in order to avoid collision. Then as I continued driving, at some point we ended up right next to each other and the driver made dead eye contact with me as he came halfway into my lane forcing me to have to partially swerve into another lane of oncoming traffic. Almost, again, causing a collision. This is very dangerous and this driver should be written up at the VERY least, if not fired for this kind of endangerment, but unfortunately I do not have the license plate number. I do know for a fact that it was this company though as I managed to quickly get a picture of the truck.
Were're from NC our SUV was totaled in Chesapeake. Tow driver Johnny arrived quickly . Could not have been a better experience in such a time. I’ve used Hickory Towing on a few different occasions. Always been pleased with their service. They have always been able to send a truck within 30 minutes of me calling. Other tow companies I’ve used in the past have taken hours. I highly recommend Hickory Towing if you need a tow.
My mother’s camper got stuck on a barrier pole at Wawa and we were unable to get ahold of an RV towing company. Our roadside assistance could not provide us with a time of assistance and we needed to get to our campground. My mother called Hickory Towing and they answered right away. Asked for a picture and said no problem and were with us in less than 15min. They came over prepared to help, bringing a tow truck and a flatbed truck. They assessed the situation and were easily able to move the camper off the pole. The gentlemen looked over the camper and said the damage was all cosmetic and that there was no damage to the actual rig of the camper. They really went above and beyond and took the camper to their shop and cut all the pieces that were hanging off and made it look neat. They even drove it back to the Wawa for my mother so that she could get gas. They really made my mother feel confident in driving it again. If you ever need towing assistance, Hickory Towing is the place to call! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy our camping trip still!!
I hate to leave an unfavorable review for Hickory Towing because I’ve utilized their services in the past and they were just 5 stars at the time. Unfortunately this experience was different. To begin, I parked in the wrong spot at my apartment complex (imagine that but I digress) and I was towed by Hickory Towing. I take full responsibility for parking in the wrong spot, that was an unwise decision on my end. However, I was under the impression because the tow was at 5:30am, this was considered to be “during the day” so I thought the tow would be $150. However they classified 5:30am as “night” and the tow was $195. Now the sign states $150 Day/$175 night MINIMUM so the bare minimum price would have been $175 (since they classify 5:30am as at night). Either way I retrieved the car 2 hours later of it getting to Hickory Towing’s lot. I strongly feel as if they could have charged me $175 but again I digress. The worker actually stated that the city sets the rates and the city tacked on an extra $20 in fees recently. Anywho, I ended up giving the worker $200 in cash (because it was cash only) and I even allowed him to keep
the change ($5), simply because he said he didn’t have “change to give” me back. Not a problem! Mind you I didn’t receive a receipt or anything. The worker merely took a picture of my license and told me to have a nice day. Fast forward and as I am driving away I hear a strange noise under the underbody of my vehicle. So of course I call Hickory Towing to let them know something was wrong with my car. They told me to bring it back to their lot so their mechanic could look at it. Their mechanic was actually the same worker that I gave the $200 to for the cost of the tow (which was $195). The mechanic fixed the issue but claimed that the “heat shield/under tray” must have already been “slightly damaged” prior to him towing it. Personally, I strongly believe that there was no prior damage, and that this was a result of a poor hook and pull. Nonetheless, I was not given anything for the inconvenience, but he did fix the issue for no additional fee. Which to me was well warranted because they caused the damage to the vehicle. Nonetheless, I feel as if I should have asked for their insurance information and really pressed such an unjust issue but I chose not to. I merely want people to use precaution when dealing with this company. This was so distressing, I wouldn’t want any car owner to experience what I experienced this morning. One worker that arrived towards the end of the ordeal stated that he “owed me coffee next time”. A monetary amount for my inconvenience would have been nice because me driving even that short distance with that metal under tray hanging could have resulted in an atrocious situation.
Car needed an unexpected tow out on 168 EXPRESSWAY during high traffic volume. Called Hickory Towing - received immediate help. The service provider (Joe) took the lead at my MOST STRESED time. Ensured my safety, my car, and tow needs were handled professionally. Offered me to sit in the truck until my hubby picked me up or would take me with vehicle to maintenance service provider. They definitely made a bad afternoon much better. Thanks, service provider - Joe. Definitely 5 for company and 5 for Joe! They are now in my phone as "just in case."
Back on December 30, 2023 I was involved in an accident with my 1968 Camaro. A guy made an illegal U turn and struck my car on the right front side leaving my car un drivable. My wife contacted Hickory Towing and told them the situation, Hickory dispatched a flatbed and it arrived within 15 minutes. The young man who was operating the truck was very kind and professional as he saw that I was already highly stressed. The right front fender was buried into the tire preventing it from moving/ or turning. The operator asked if it would be okay to pry the fender out just enough so the car could roll and I said yes. Despite my car being badly damaged already, the young man very carefully used the winch on the truck and was able to pull it out. I cannot begin to tell you how much I appreciated his handling of the situation and his skills in not damaging anything else. He got the car loaded and placed it perfectly in my driveway. I applaud Hickory Towing for their professionalism. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
My family ended up in a ditch with there camper on north west annex, glad that Hickory towing was able to rescue them, very expensive but they are safe and we are very gratefull.
My teenager drove the car into a deep ditch. The tow truck driver was there within 10 minutes and pulled us out. He was professional and kind to us, which we both appreciated.
