As a Marylander, I love shopping with FMJ online. Haven’t had a chance to visit their storefront, but dealing with them online has always been quick and easy. Highly recommend them for new and milsurp supplies.

This is a hell of a surplus store that DOES NOT sell firearms. If you continue to see those negative reviews I would report them as they are not indicative of what this store is or the high caliber of people that work here. I will visit again one day.

I’ve been going to full metal jacket for close to 20 years. These 1 start reviews are completely fabricated and it’s pretty evident that the people writing them haven’t even been into the shop. If you’ve ever been in you know it’s not a “gun shop” like those reviews have stated and they suspiciously use the same wording. As far as people complaining about the owner I’ve had plenty of experience with both owners and they have always been honest and helpful. I’ve witnessed them deal with many customers who weren't sure about the legality of items or were new to the space and had lots of questions and I’ve only ever seen them be helpful, well informed, and non judgmental. To address the people that stated there are some issues with people from Maryland, that makes absolutely no sense. They have an employee that is from Maryland that I’ve become friends with, I’m an NRA certified instructor and I’ve been through a Maryland wear and carry course. I know that he is well informed when it comes to Maryland gun law. I don’t even live in nova anymore I’m actually more than 2 hours away but I still come into the shop every time I take a trip to visit my parents. Best surplus shop in VA for sure and best surplus shop I’ve been to in the country and I’ve been to quite a few.
Have been to this store many times over the years since it was first started in Old Town down by the water. I have watched it grow and morph into a first rate store for everything from antique Militaria into a first rate supplier of current goods. They are a government contracting company and have supplied various elements of the DOD along with local governments for all types of supplies. I’ve seen members of the national media come out to purchase body armor and various pieces of kits before the OIF invasion kicked off. These guys either have what you need or know where to get it. You won’t be disappointed by their service. Super nice and knowledgeable.
Great shop - friendly, honest, helpful and a very unique selection. Not a gun shop but they carry some magazines and plenty of slings, lights, and sights/optics. Owner is super guy- very knowledgeable and always willing to assist new and old customers. Highly recommended.
Would definitely rate as the best store to visit in the DMV, prices for the higher quality items are slightly expensive, but their surplus is very reasonable to purchase. Also one of, if not, one of the closest military surplus stores you can visit in the DC metropolitan.
Whether you’re LARP’ing in your basement or operating downrange, FMJ has top notch military surplus. I fly to this store from out of state, that’s how good their military surplus is.
Absolutely shop here, I had ZERO issues purchasing magazines. If you walk into FMJ or look at their website, it is very clear they are NOT a gun shop. Staff was extremely kind and hooked me up on a surplus surefire as well as an IR device. Friendliest people in the business.
Friendly staff, been shopping here for a while. Bought a case of MREs and trauma supplies. Their mags are also decently priced considering its located in NoVA
Have been shopping here for the better part of 13 years have never once had an issue really good place to get CIF if you needing it for turn in and they have other good law-enforcement related items that are really nice, that other shops do not carry in stock. Also will order you gear related items and provide a solid knowledge base if you needed help along those line as well.
One of the few surplus stores left in the DMV and that's for a reason. They always have a great selection of old and new kit. The guys there know their shit and are always willing to help you out.
For over 20 years I have been to military Surpluses across the United States, and a couple in Europe, but as far as America goes, I have given Full Metal Jacket, LLC my business over several years, and without any doubt FMJ is one of the top 3 best Military Surpluses in the USA. They have my best opinion for many reasons, and the most predominant reason is their staff members and their kindness and professionalism. The surplus options are the second reason, the list is extensive. 100/100

One of the best stores to visit for everything gear related! If that's not your thing then they also have plenty of authentic military surplus and collectibles. I visit once a month or so to check the new stock and always leave with something new!

They have everything! Its a small store but its packed with almost anything you need. The prices are pretty good to. Even their surplus stuff is good quality, no junk. I was finding vietnam era field coats in really good condition at very fair prices. They have a good selection of modern gear here as well. I would rather buy here because I know I am going to get exactly what I want.
Had an issue with my order that was definitely my own fault, these guys were super responsive and helpful and really went above and beyond to help me get it worked out. Will continue to business with pretty much forever
Great spot to scratch your military surplus itch. Plenty of clothing, hats, helmets, chest rigs, and tactical belts. Be sure to check out their selection of knives and accessories for modern day weapons as well. My only issue is my bank account didn't match everything I wanted to buy on my first visit. I'll definitely be back!
Great spot for anyone who works in defense, law enforcement, or just enjoys the military world and collecting. It’s not a big store, but they’ve got a surprisingly wide variety of gear and collectibles, and you can easily spend a good amount of time looking through everything.
I travel to Washington regularly and always like stopping by to see what new items they’ve got in stock. Definitely a solid place if you're into this kind of stuff.

The Best Mil-surp in the DMV. Hands down. They have stuff ranging from the Eastern Bloc up to high speed tactical gear in modern use. Plus the guys there actually know what they are talking about. Super friendly and always ready to help. Plus the prices are awesome and I love finding things in the Used bin for great prices. I’ve gotten pieces of gear from them I bought 5 years ago that I still use. I recommend if you love military surplus like I do, stop by and check them out. Though I’d check your credit bill before you go, I always end up buying more than I probably should’ve.
One of the best Military surplus stores in the tri state area. Drove down to DC for work and had to stop by. Was astounded by all of the cool items they had; was glad to see that the selection was all American, ex-military surplus and no Chinese junk like most “tactical” stores sell. I could probably spend the entire day here and a whole paycheck. Tons of patches, gear and camo. Worth the trip for me, will be back to support.
