Had an issue with my order that was definitely my own fault, these guys were super responsive and helpful and really went above and beyond to help me get it worked out. Will continue to business with pretty much forever

Great amounts of surplus and modern gear for any customer in need. The shop employees have great customer service and I enjoy visiting every time. Awesome work with the customer appreciation event as well, happy I was able to attend!

Great spot to scratch your military surplus itch. Plenty of clothing, hats, helmets, chest rigs, and tactical belts. Be sure to check out their selection of knives and accessories for modern day weapons as well. My only issue is my bank account didn't match everything I wanted to buy on my first visit. I'll definitely be back!

Incredibly pleased with service. I needed a size exchange and I know this can be a pain for small businesses but FMJ was very accommodating - especially given my challenging travel schedule - and made the swap-out process super easy for me. I couldn't be happier with the interactions and the fact that I now have Jungle boots that fit!

Great spot for anyone who works in defense, law enforcement, or just enjoys the military world and collecting. It’s not a big store, but they’ve got a surprisingly wide variety of gear and collectibles, and you can easily spend a good amount of time looking through everything. I travel to Washington regularly and always like stopping by to see what new items they’ve got in stock. Definitely a solid place if you're into this kind of stuff.

They have a great selection here. The staff are personable and friendly. Lots of good options to choose from.

I recently made an online purchase with Full Metal Jacket. The item I ordered happen to sell in store on the same day. The staff here contacted the manufacturer and had them dropship me one personally. They then reached out to me by phone to explain the situation. Awesome service! I also found the item I was looking for here, for about 100 dollars less than what other places were charging.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited Full Metal Jacket Store and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was fantastic, with great music that really set the vibe. The store was impeccably clean, which made shopping a pleasure. The service was outstanding—everyone was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. A special shoutout to Jeremy, who went above and beyond to help me find what I needed. If you're in the area, definitely stop by and see him! Highly recommended!

Staff exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable. Have frequented for years preparing for deployments. If they don’t have “it” they probably have something just as useful.

Gave me 92 for a full plate carrier and 26 on a belt marked thirty. Five stars.

The Best Mil-surp in the DMV. Hands down. They have stuff ranging from the Eastern Bloc up to high speed tactical gear in modern use. Plus the guys there actually know what they are talking about. Super friendly and always ready to help. Plus the prices are awesome and I love finding things in the Used bin for great prices. I’ve gotten pieces of gear from them I bought 5 years ago that I still use. I recommend if you love military surplus like I do, stop by and check them out. Though I’d check your credit bill before you go, I always end up buying more than I probably should’ve.

Purchased boots online and the size I got didn't quite fit. When I called, all my questions were answered and I was able to send the boots back and exchange without issue.

Put in an order online for a pair of green jungle boots. I am retired military, so I remember those boots fondly and wanted to get a pair while some are still around. The order was accepted, then it was cancelled. When I asked why they cancelled my order, they said their system flagged it as fraudulent. What made the order appear fraudulent? Nothing more than because I use Prontonmail.com (like a lot of people in my line of work who don't need their personal info getting into the hands of bad actors)....no other reason! Just my email domain. Their email to me had this nice line: "We have a zero tolerance policy when our algorithms catch fraudulent orders we cancel them." Basically, accusing me of fraud...a big middle finger to me, but followed by, "Feel free to call us and discuss this matter further." Their email also said they had called me 3 times, although my phone records showed it was only once. I did call in to discuss this further. The "Jeremy" guy on the other end was pretty dismissive and unhelpful, basically telling me his cheap off-the-shelf security program he has patched into his ordering system default flags people as fraudulent just because they use Protonmail as their personal email. He said that it was a whole "rabbit-hole" thing he didn't want to go into…basically telling me I am not important enough to explain this to, or listen to. He told me instead of fulfilling the order (you know, to make a happy customer) I could just re-submit the order. And that was all. Now why would I do that for a business that treats people like that, and appears to just not care the inconvenience their cheap security program causes customers? FMJ is a small one-store business that has gotten into online orders through Shopify. However, since they use the bottom level cheapest security program for orders and are closed-minded about the realities of life of a lot of their potential clientele, and ignorant to the current realities of what online fraud would actually look like (they had my credit card payment in-hand!) they are literally letting money walk out of their business to other online retailers. No, I did not resubmit my order and risk having to go through this again with these people. I guess if you can only think small, you will stay small.

One of the best Military surplus stores in the tri state area. Drove down to DC for work and had to stop by. Was astounded by all of the cool items they had; was glad to see that the selection was all American, ex-military surplus and no Chinese junk like most “tactical” stores sell. I could probably spend the entire day here and a whole paycheck. Tons of patches, gear and camo. Worth the trip for me, will be back to support.

Workers were super friendly throughout my encounter, being helpful and knowledgeable. They even had some obsecure military surplus nightvision/laser parts I needed and offered very fair prices. I Would recommend to others in the DMV area for surplus needs.

great staff! Me and my family went here on our trip to D.C. and had the best experience we had ever had from a military surplus. The staff were kind and understanding but also new what they were talking about.

This place sucks cause they have all kinds of cool stuff which you then have to buy. You then need to hide your purchase from your wife. It’s their fault cause their service is good, they know their stuff, have night vision stuff you usually have to look online for. Which you then talk yourself into buying which turns into driving home trying to figure out how you’re going to sneak into your house with it. Places like this need to be illegal. How am I supposed to save up for the chicken coop my wife wants? How? By going in here and buying cool hard to get stuff? Prob not.

After a few frustrating attempts to find a surplus store, this establishment was a pure breath of fresh air, they carried a very good line of products, it's located out of the main thoroughfare, they presented a safe, quiet shopping experience, I was not "pressured" during my shopping and they were helpful when I inquired about specific merchandise. Great experience, I will most certainly return for future purchases.

Came here for the first time to get some Sig mags - had to make myself leave after buying more than that and wanting to buy even more . Their selection is very thorough, and they have the good stuff. Kit brands included Blue Force Gear, they had a solid array of Magpul accessories, nice knife selection (even Zero tolerance which is my favourite) and more. Not to mention, Ben was SUPER helpful and nice. We had a good conversation and I appreciate his assistance. I will definitely be coming back from Maryland - worth the drive!

After searching days for an Ops-Core ARC Rail for ACH Helmet only to find everybody showing a 60-90 day backorder, I stumbled upon Full Metal Jacket. When their website stated they had several in stock, I was skeptical so I gave them a call. The person who answered the phone was polite and quickly verified it was available. I placed the order at 10:11AM on Thursday and the item was on my doorstep at 11:35AM on Friday. They will now be my first stop when looking for a particular piece of kit.

Friendly and very well stocked with everything from survival gear to mil-spec goods both American and foreign. I can't remember the last time I visited a military surplus shop NOT festooned with partisan BS so this shop is a breath of fresh air for a 'liberal' guy who loves firearms and tactical swag. Great job on being nondenominational!

Update: went there on another trip. Much the same. Inventory had changed some which is good. Staff is still super friendly and one of them is a pretty historian. My sons are interested in playing army (go figure). We decided to check out this surplus store in Arlington. The staff were super helpful and friendly, and helped us find some cool stuff that wasn't out on display. I totally recommend them!

Sold some stuff recently, old 90s gear. I met with the owner. He gave me a fair cash price and a better trade-in value. And one thing I didn’t see in the other reviews, they’ll find whatever you have a home. They took my old Class A uniform, but couldn’t give me cash for it. That was fine because occasionally families look to bury their loved ones in their service uniform. FMJ makes those items available, which I believe is an important service to the veteran community. I highly recommend them.

After seeing a recent review I feel compelled to leave one of my own. For starters, you WILL NOT find the array of gear this store sells within 150 miles. And you WILL NOT find it at their price point. I have never had an unsatisfying experience here. You WILL NOT find any sort of discrimination or judgement based on who you are. Every time I am in the store, I am among a diverse population of customers who share a mutual interest in quality equipment. The employees are respectful, knowledgeable and are passionate about providing excellent gear, knowledge and support to anyone who is interested in firearms, tactical gear, or mil surplus.

Absolutely professional group of people that are very knowledgeable about their profession. I have been a customer for 10+ years and have always managed to get good deals. Whenever I am in DC and visit the showroom, they are always friendly and willing to talk and sell me something good. Definitely my go-to spot for hard to find items.

- this place seemed like this is a new location for them, they were still setting lots of stuff up when I went to check them out. - seemed to have a nice selection of different stuff. - parking wasn't too bad when I went. - I didn't buy anything this time around so not sure on pricing. - staff seems nice for the most part. - overall a cool place to check out, I'd recommend it. - I'll update review next time I go.
