Stopped in today to purchase windshield wiper fluid. Asked Ryan if he could put some in the car for me since it was empty. He didn’t hesitate and came outside w me and walked up to my car and filled it up then made sure to ask me to test it right then to make sure it was working right. Great guy with great Customer Service help.
After eating a salad in my vehicle, I decided to take a quick nap.
Surprisingly, twenty minutes later, my vehicle wouldn’t start; the battery had gone dead.
I searched for a nearby towing service and was relived to find that my favorite Auto Zone on Mount Vernon in Alexandria, VA was just a short 2-mile drive from my stalled vehicle.
Tony promptly greeted me and confirmed that the battery needed to be replaced.
He mentioned that the battery had been replaced by another AutoZone location in August 2024.
Fortunately, the battery was under warranty, and Tony replaced it in less than 10 minutes.
Tony was prompt, professional, and precise.

My car battery died while I was at the gym this morning. After a jump, I came straight to AutoZone for a new battery where I met Jeremy and Alex! Both Jeremy and Alex were so kind and attentive to meet my needs. They were also very respectful and reassuring that I would be taken care of. I am so appreciative of the service I received at AutoZone today! It was truly a blessing! I learned that Jeremy is a top performer which didn’t surprise me at all because his work was A-1! I also learned it is Alex’s first week as a manager! She is awesome and will do a great job in leadership at this location! If you have auto needs, please come to this AutoZone location! 10/10 would recommend!
I just had a great experience of going to the store for a halogen Front light that turns out it’s very unusual for 2005. The sales representative Matt steered me in the right direction and even had time to go out and help install it actually in my car! If this isn’t first class service I don’t know what is.
I needed to replace my side mirror and they had the right part just had to wait a few days to get it in. Once they had it, Gustavo was kind enough to help me install it (in the summer heat mind you). He was so kind and helpful, definitely would come back here in the future if I needed more help!
So bad . They don't provide good service, especially two workers who yell at me. I'm traveling 20 minutes to another place where there's better service even though it's three minutes from my house.
Guy at the register is clueless. I asked repeatedly for TRUNK STRUTS for a HATCHBACK 5th door on a Honda Fit, and he repeatedly asked me "front or back?" Obviously clueless.
Today my car’s splashguard randomly unlodged and was dragging on the road. I made a pit stop to AutoZone and they were super helpful and told me I should purchase new screws to bolt it back in place. The screws were only $4 and Matthew was kind enough to install them. Thank you all for the quick service and for making a minor problem $4 as opposed to what a dealership would’ve charged me.
Update 4/18: Today my car battery randomly died and after jump starting my car I came straight here. Jeremy helped me immediately and installed the battery in less than 5 minutes. Really wonderful location, thank you all so much!
Jeremy was such a pleasure and super helpful. Reviewed several batteries and windshield wipers with me and happily helped me install those items. He was super kind and helpful to all the customers I saw him help. Also spoke with his manager who was also helpful. Would return to this location.
Going to the Alexandria, Va. AutoZone, on Mt. Vernon Ave., (after visiting a different AutoZone twice, without any success with getting my headlights changed), proved to be a BLESSING!!
I experienced major girl POWER, as Lois, (who clearly is a fan of a brainteaser), assisted me with installing my headlights. Clearly there is a norm for how you usually extract the old headlights, but mine were quite different. I enjoyed how focused, tenacious, fun and driven she was, all the while helping a very pleasant coworker new hire install a battery. She would not stop until she figured it out.
Bravo for all of it LOIS!! You are a true GEM!!

Went to the Mr.Vernon Ave location early this morning to get a new battery installed & Mr. Tony was extremely helpful & kind. He got me out the door with my new battery in less than 20 min. 10 outta 10 DO RECOMMEND!!!!
I've been to this store several times and every time, they were SO, So helpful and generous with their time and advice. They recommended an autobody person who could fix some paint on my car, they checked and inflated my tires for me, and when I needed to polish my headlights they helped me to not overspend. (It worked: my car passed inspection!) AutoZone in general has been great, and this one is exceptional. They seem to have everything and know tons, but they want to help, not rip you off. I'd give them my business any time! (Yes I'm a helpless female and I appreciate their kindness!)
Ricky was super kind and helpful! We came to autozone because our battery life was low and we were expecting to purchase a new one. Ricky helped us and informed us that the battery we had was still under warranty and we were eligible to get a replacement as a result. We didn’t know this, and it was very helpful to be informed!
I went to get my windshield wipers replaced and specifically asked if they would be able to put them on for me. That is all I needed. I made sure to give my vin # so that they could find the right blades. 3 returns later and FOUR different people trying to help get the blades on and I left after an hour with no new blades. Word of advice, if you don't know what you are doing, and or you clearly do not have the correct blades, just say that and don't waste someones times over something that should have taken 5 minutes, if that.
Ricky is the best manager I have ever came across! He was so kind enough to help me change my headlights when he saw me struggle to get them changed. Can’t thank him enough! Will be going back for future purchases.
I went down to del ray auto zone to get a battery and alternator test. Ended up dropping a new battery in there. Rob helped me from start to finish and he was super kind, respectful, and just overall a really geniune guy. We chatted for a bit in the parking lot and in this crazy world, its rare to just meet people with character. By 5pm I am sure this guy was tired from the day but you can't ask for better customer service or help. Will hit this autozone for all my maintenance and parts needs! Thanks Rob!!!
Jeremy was wonderful. He assisted my wife with her battery removal and replacement. He’s patient, kind and helpful. I think that was his name I hope it is the young gentleman with glasses bottom line I would shop at autozone as long as he’s there!
Came in a moment ago & inquired of their car floor mats cleaner. Asked one of the sales associates, young Caucasian male for assistance. From his tone, he clearly was not interested in helping and just wanted to direct me away as fast as possible without actually helping. I ended up just leaving to elsewhere.
With barely an hour left before closing, two of the AutoZone employees – Ricky and Dave (with the wild hair) knocked themselves out to get my two sons back on the road again. Friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly positive and helpful, you guys are the best! There really ARE good people out there! Thanks, AutoZone!
Rob was amazing. I needed to replace my battery in my key for my car. He warned me for liability reasons that if he opens it and it breaks they aren't responsible which I appreciated. It opened and he replaced it. He was so helpful. Thanks Rob!
Great customer service at this location, thank you. I showed up 15 min before closing to get a new battery. The person assisting me went far beyond the call of duty to install the new battery including dealing with rusted bolts in the dark and rain which delayed the end of his work day. Very grateful, thanks again!
I want to share my experience I had today. I was helping my sister with her vehicle troubles and we went to this auto zone. Were politely greeted by Bradly. He was very patient listened to our issue and took care of us. He made us feel like we weren't just some random people he gave us top of the line customer care. We thank auto zone for making the right hire with him because he literally made our day better with his service. Thank you Bradley!
Tonight 7/3/23 was a good night at this AutoZone. The two gentleman working the counter were really nice and very helpful. I bought new wiper blades for my Kia Soul and they also helped put them on for me.
This is a lot different from the first time I went to this location.

Derek was amazing and wonderful. I needed a new headlight and he showed me which one I needed and even offered to help me install it! This was By far, the friendliest and most efficient Autozone I've ever been to. Top notch customer service & availability. And from reading the reviews it seems they pride themselves on taking great care of their customers. I wish nothing but the best for them in the future.
I had a great experience at this location. One of the associates, Ryan, customer service was amazing. He was very polite when helping me. He even came outside and changed my car battery. I will definitely continue to patronize the Mt. Vernon location with associates like Ryan working here. I really appreciated the service that I received.
I asked a few times before buying a windshield wiper. They still sold me the wrong one. My was beam style wiper and they sold me conventional, which was completely unusable. They also charge me windshield cleaner which they told me was free.
