Would not recommend this person. Yes he was reliable and did the job towing my car to the place to have it repaired but he lacks on sending out the bill so I could be reimbursed by insurance company. I have tried several times to contact him I even send a return envelope with a stamp on it and no reply. When promised to send a receipt to a customer he needs to do it not put it off.
Called with an unexpected vehicle breakdown on a friday. Crosstown fit me in as soon as they could and traveled in excess of 70 miles to help me get my car back home by Sunday afternoon.
My sisters truck broke down in Maine outside of Portland back in early March. Ian drove there and back, roughly 300 miles roundtrip, the same day I called to bring it to a preferred local repair shop at a very reasonable rate.
The repair shop made a comment about how easy it was on arrival for them to unload the truck precisely where needed because of the expertise Ian had with his hauler.
Ian is a true blessing.
Unfortunately I had to get my car tow out of the snow bank. After a few referral, I found crosstown and it was awesome.
Ian got my car out after two stops. First time he didn’t have the right car cause we didn’t explain our situation. He got up and went to get another truck to be sure it’s safe and zero risk.
Great job and took 3 hours on a short notice from stuck to unstuck.

Ian was so helpful in getting me on the road and starting up my dead car. Absolutely was so worried and he was sincerely the best, explained what could be going wrong with the car and made sure that I was back on the road! Truly grateful for his care and kindness! Called them for help and immediately regretted it, very unhelpful and unprofessional. Do not use this company if you can avoid it! Plenty of other ones in the central vermont area. Waste of money!!
Ian got my lawn tractor out of some deep wetland mud with his bare hands, didn't even need to hook up the winch. The responsiveness, communication and friendly service was top tier - I will definitely be recommending Crosstown Towing any time I have the opportunity.
Amazing service. He picked us up and called until he could find a shop to get in today. We arrived at a shop and they couldn’t actually get us in so he found another and brought us there. Waited until we were good before he left. Amazing guy Henry is, if your in need in this area call him
I recently had a flat tire. While trying to change it, my jack broke, my spare was flat, and when I tried to reinflate it, my battery died. I called Crosstown, and they arrived in about ten minutes. They charged my battery, took my spare back to the shop to put it back on the rim, diagnosed my alignment problem that caused the original flat, and found me four used tires in good condition for a great price. They were prompt and courteous and really went above and beyond for me, all a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend anyone to call them for roadside assistance.
Popped a tire in a pothole in Montpelier. Called roadside assistance and prayed that they would send someone reliable. Luckily for me Crosstown Towing showed up within 10 minutes of my distress call and changed the blown tire. Exceptional service. Fast response time. Great Big Thank You to Ian and his staff!
Awful service they blocked my car in for 30 minutes to tow someone next to me and refused to move and said they would gladly take longer when I asked them to move. Nothing but scum works for them
Flat tire on a Saturday evening. AAA was called and Crosstown Towing showed up approximately 30 minutes later. A very polite and pleasant young man had my tire changed in a matter of minutes. Thank you!
When I told the guy where I wanted it towed to he asked me if I’d called them. When I said no but that’s who does all our auto service. He than said they are booked right right now and it could be a couple of weeks before they got me in. Then I said well we know them and it’s fine, he said yeah that’s what everybody says. First and foremost, it’s none of your business where I have it towed to, secondly do you have a deal with another repair shop...ie in other words are you making money on the side by referring to another shop? Btw, when I called the other place they couldn’t get us in to July 8th....not happy he was basically trying to argue with me about where to tow it.
Chris saved us out of 89S in the middle of a snow storm! He did a great job & even recommended an auto shop. He also waited for our ride to arrive, as I had my 2 daughters and dogs with me that day. Bigras auto was great too, fixed my truck quickly and honestly!
A friend recommended them to me. I found the driver extremely nice. He got me out of the ditch very quickly and charged me less than I was quoted on the phone. I will use them again though I hope I never have to.
Had to use this company twice in one day when my friends Tesla had a flat tire. Friendly and knowledgeable driver that took care of car and was a great driver. I highly recommend using them for any and all towing needs.
So last night, stopped at a 4 way intersection, I was waiting for my right of way. The car that was there first stops, then goes. My turn. Great. Except for the crosstown towing wrecker that flies through the intersection without so much as tapping the brakes. If I had taken my right of way, my infant son and I would probably be dead right now, as he blasted through a busy intersection going about 30mph. What's a girl to do? I made a bad review on their facebook about the incident. They responded, saying they are aware of the incident on spring street and elm street, and that while I had a stop sign, they did not. One problem. It was COURT and ELM, which is a 4 way, and they DID blow through the intersection. Funny... I try commenting to dispute their dispute... and I'm blocked from commenting. Oh well, I can still edit my review. I edit my review, stating that they are absolutely in the wrong about where the incident took place. That's funny... they've removed ALL reviews from their facebook page, AND blocked both me and my boyfriend from the page. (He was in the car and would be dead too.) since then they've said they're gonna review their dash cam footage. Oh okay. All I ever wanted to begin with was an apology. Stuff happens, people get distracted, whatever. Own your mistake, tell me you're gonna talk to your driver about it, and apologize. Don't try to lie and say I'm wrong, then delete everything. You guys know where to hit me up to apologize.
