I want to recommend Mike and Green Mountain Garage to anyone in the area! I have a camper van built on Ram Promaster Cargo Van. I broke down and was able to get to the town of Brandon, Vt. I am from Delaware and was traveling to Vermont. I called the dealer in Rutland and they recommended Green Mountain Garage so I got the van towed to them. Long story short they were able to get me back on the road within 24 hours (it was the end of the day by the time I was able to get a tow company with a flat bed). Communication was excellent. They were straight forward and honest about what happened and what was needed. The price was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area!

Had been coming here for a while for service on my car. Needed new brake pads and in general brake service in May of 2024. Got four new rotors and brake pads, and had two calibers replaced. Nothing out of the ordinary for an older car. Within a month things were not working as expected and the brakes felt worse than before I initially brought them in. Wobbly and I knew that the front right side brake was at least messed up. Figured it was a caliper issue on the calipers that weren’t replaced. I needed to bring the car back in, got the two old calipers replaced and again new brake pads, fortunately the rotors were salvageable. Brakes did feel better after that but still not as good as they ever did before all this.
Just got an oil change, winter tires put on, and an inspection at a different garage where I did an initial lifted inspection with the mechanics of the car underbody where we walked through things. Both of the rear brake pads were fully not put in correctly and I had been driving for 6 months with basically no rear brakes.
Gotta say I’m disappointed and had a hunch things weren’t done correctly given the circumstances of how the car drove, but just assumed that couldn’t have been the case. It’s an older car. Should have checked the work myself and will now going forward for the rest of my life.
I would expect that something as basic as pads be put in correctly from any garage.
Green Mountain Garage is both dependable and efficient. Whether it's parts or repairs, Mike and his crew always have exactly what I'm looking for. Just recently I went in for a blinker light and some epoxy to stop some water accumulation in the tail light. Not only did Brian find what I needed, but offered to install the lights and a much better solution to the water problem. Saved me a lot of time this weekend!
It's a small town, with no options for auto parts, and they're a little shady with the excise charge for using a card, BUT the people are helpful and know what they're doing.
Got me out of a real pinch when my brake line burst while on vacation. Great service and they squeezed me in to avoid losing more time/fishing opportunity.
The owners are fantastic and go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable with all the work and service they do. I have had several issues ranging from electrical on a boat to mechanical with a car to wiring issues in a truck, all of which they were able to either assist with information or directly fix in a very short span for a very reasonable price I plan to be using Green Mountain garage for all my future service needs
Finally got our Malibu in good shape again thanks to Green mountain garage! Plan to have all our work done with them for now on.great work at a reasonable cost ! Thanks again Green Mountain garage....Scott and Annie D
