Having a good local parts store is a godsend for anyone that does their own work. Everyone who works here is knowledgeable, helpful, and on more than one occasion have gone out of their way to save me some $$$ on parts. I've never heard any of them give questionable advice or wrong answers to other customers.
Also, everyone that works there KNOWS HOW TO USE THEIR COMPUTER SYSTEM for lookups and cross referencing, and they always open and double-check the box before selling a part. If you know what I'm talking about, you know how nice that is!
Good selection of tools if you need them in a pinch, even specialty automotive stuff. They carry several brands of fluids/oils/coolants, so even if you're picky about that stuff, they probably have something good enough.
I do try to use OEM parts when possible, but sometimes they're either not available or absurdly expensive. The CarQuest branded parts I've used so far have been pretty good - good fitment, no early deaths from a couple of alternators, a water pump, and some chassis parts for three or four different vehicles. Good warranty on the parts, too.
I come here for little odds and ends I need for car maintenance, I don't know much of anything about cars and these guys are ALWAYS super friendly, helpful and get me what I need. 100% recommended for anyone self conscious about not knowing a lot about cars. Go here without fear!
My favorite auto parts store in the country. And I have been in many from California to Florida to Colorado to Vermont. The same staff for years. Hell they probably own the place I don't know. But they remember their customers and treat everyone like they're a VIP client. Who brings them the most business each month. Even if you're only going in to buy a bolt or you're in there spending twenty grand.
They'll match prices and go out of their way to find your part.
I have never walked away from this establishment less than happy! This is what customer service should be everywhere! Everyone at the counter is extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and more than willing to go out of their way to make sure you have what you need!
I go here all the time for parts, it is great because they know all of their repeat customers by name, and the customers know their names as well. I almost try to find parts that I need for my truck, just so that I have an excuse to go to Carquest and hang out with those guys! They are all friendly beyond belief!
