I call these kinds of service providers "Rare Breed." Jason has taken care of our towing needs for at least 8 years and if I am ever in a situation to need his help on the road, he is the very exceptional one I call. Jason, I can't thank you enough.
Renting a U-Haul from their "side business":
(1) Star Towing asked me, the customer, to move my automobile from an on-street (public parking) spot and park in another location one block distant. The remote location was one block distant on a snow-cover street with no sidewalk, winter conditions). When I asked the reason I was told it was out of courtesy for their neighboring businesses. When I explained I was parking where no signs prohibited it, I was told I would still have to move my automobile.
(2) Star Towing failed to review the charges with me after I dropped off the vehicle and overcharged me unjustly. I was charged for 40 miles when in reality I had only used the vehicle 37 miles.
(3) Star Towing has poor customer service. The attendant that assisted me was authoritative instead of being helpful. He "asked" me to return to the business site to move the vehicle early, when in reality, he already had an extra key for this purpose.
(4) The Star Towing attendant that "assisted" me pretended to be courteous but his passive-aggressive demeanor was a total turn off. He acted as if he was doing me a huge favor by providing a service when he failed to understand that it was because of my business, and the business of countess other customers, that he had an income.
(5) No staff/customer service on site. Attendants did business with me outdoors (in the cold). Nobody available to answer phones when problems or concerns arose.
This is definitely a towing business with a few U-Hauls on the side. I can't speak for their towing business but the U-Haul side is pretty "rough", to say the least.
Jason is the best! He helped my friend that was STUCK up in the Provo canyon. We called everywhere and he was the only one willing to help! He was understanding and very patient. Honestly best towing company out there with a real genuine owner that loves helping people out! Thank you again!
I locked my keys in the car, and when he showed up he was so nice and was super quick to get to work. I would highly recommend using this company for anything you need

Star Towing is a great business to use Uhaul through. They are really kind and super understanding of things that may come up. If you have a question don't be afraid to ask they will help you. Business aside they are just really great to talk to. I'm a two time returning customer now and each interaction has been more than pleasant.
We rented a Uhaul the day after Christmas for 3 days. If you decide to rent one from here, be sure to take a picture of the odometer because they added 35-40 miles on top of what we actually drove, so we ended up paying more. Don't make the same mistake! Other than that, the cab stunk like feet but got us to where we needed to be.
Had Star Towing take my project Camaro to the sand blasters. They had an issue and were behind schedule, they text me 24 hours before my scheduled pickup. So impressed with their communication.
My car was in a slightly difficult place, and he was excellent about helping get it down the hill and onto his truck. He even noticed that our concrete was new, so he took extra precautions to ensure it wouldn't damage the cement.
I've used quite a few different tow companies, but I don't think I'll go any where else.
These guys were amazing they went above and beyond to make sure that even though I was about a 1/2 an hour late I went to head And called before my scheduled drop off and they made sure I didn't get charged for another day I was only a 1/2 hour late though bottom line 5 star Review fantastic customer service thank you star towing and U-Haul!
These people were kind and easy to work with. That car was rear ended and we felt we could drive it home just a mile away from the accident the back right tire blew and it was a horrible experience. They couldn't find the car at first and called us a few times but they were patient until we figured out the exact address. Patient with us for sure.
Jason and Ben were able to travel quite a ways to where my truck was located and stuck in a significant amount of mud. They were very timely and knowledgeable about how to get me unstuck from the mud and away from the edge of a mountain and get me safely back onto the road. They are awesome and are very honest and fair about price as well! Definitely will be recommending them to anyone with any sort of need for a tow or vehicle recovery! Thanks again!
I had the pleasure of being towed by the owner. The owner is a really great guy. Really understanding. Had the best rates I could find from all the other companies I called. Not only that, but also gave me a first time customer discount. Really saved my wallet.
We needed a car towed later at night. It took the driver almost an hour to get the car "unstuck" so it could be towed. He was great. Very professional but friendly. Did a great job. I will use him again.

My son was stuck on the side of the road in Provo, and Jason called me asking what I thought was wrong with my son's car. We talked about some ideas and I was all ready to have it towed to a repair shop for a big repair. Jason gave it some thought and looked at the car sitting on angle on the road. He opened the hood, used his own starter fluid and the car momentarily started. He found it was a fuel delivery problem, but suggested putting more gas in the tank (because he saw the car was on an angle and the gas might not have been deliverable). He put in a few more gallons and the car started up! No tow was needed to an expensive repair shop and I only paid for his time and service! He was kind and willing to help out. He $aved me a big repair bill by his technical experience. Great service, friendly, and very helpful. Thanks!
Today was one of my...not so favorite days and to end it my car wouldn’t start. I used Star towing and I will forever call them first. The customer service was IMPECCABLE! I was so stressed and having such a hard time and the gentleman that helped me was so calm and kind. It turned out he was the owner. I’m in tears writing this...it’s people like Jason that have such successful businesses for a reason. He is someone that has blessed my life in such a silly circumstance. Will 10000 percent recommend this company forever!
My tire was very stuck in one of those cement canals in AF and even though it was late and raining, they took the time to wedge up the wheel so no more damage was caused. Also recommended a good collision company close to me and knew that they took my insurance. I will recommend them to anyone who asks me.

My car broke down on I-15 in Orem. Not a good place to be stuck. I called Jason Schaefer and he picked me up 10 minutes later. He was incredibly fast and delivered my car to the my mechanic in 30 minutes. I definitely recommend him to anyone.
Really awesome customer service. Our car ran out of gas on the freeway tonight. My wife is pregnant and it’s cold so I wanted to get some help fast. Every other company said it would take an hour or more to get to us. When we finally got in contact with theses guys, they were there within 20 minutes or so of us talking. The guy that brought the gas was already on his way to another place with a car already loaded up and he was heading the opposite way but, he still turned around to help us. He was very friendly on the phone and in person. Hopefully I don’t ever need gas again or a tow but, I would call these guys first if I do.
I was scheduled for a lockout and tow of my car and was told by my insurance it would be a 90 minute wait and that it was ok to leave the car in the meantime. I called the tow operator to clarify what was going on and give him my destination. 3 hours later I give him another call. He told me he cancelled the job because I wasn't at the vehicle, a fact he was aware of from the beginning. Without contacting me, notifying me or any considerate action, the job was cancelled and no offer to assist any further was made. This is why this company was given a one star review.
