The long haired lady at the counter is incredibly unprofessional. I asked her who towed the car and she wouldn’t tell me, just saying that she got an order, when I asked to see the order, she literally held it up 3 feet away from me, and when I tried to read it, she moved it in wide circles so I couldn’t read the information.
People experiencing this unprofessionalism are encouraged to file a complaint with the Salt Lake City business licensing department.
Steve is a nice guy. The lady at the counter has a one star attitude. After she told me I need to change my review, I did .. I have edited this to make sure the world knows Steve's a good guy. His staff on the other hand who demanded I change my review with an equally poor attitude that earned her the one star reviews to begin with, continues to earn this business a single star.
Our Camper and Truck was impound on 7/11. The truck we got out of impound right away. But had to wait for the camper. And my boyfriend didn't understand after 30 days. The tow yard takes ownership of ur property. My idiot boyfriend thought we had until 8/11. Which is 32 days !! Thank goodness Steve is a super understanding, nice, And fair guy. Let us only pay the tow fee too retrieve our property out of the camper. Thank you so much Steve ur the best!!
Costumer service terrible they don’t even need the one star honestly the women that called me to verify the address where they have to tow my car she was just make sure you have the correct address and call me again and she canceled my service really disappointed

Called car tow they said I had to pay $540+to get my car after explaining I’m a single father with over drawn acct they didn’t discount a penny !! I would never run a business like this very unprofessional down right disgusted

Their Google Maps hours say open 24hrs, but that's only for the towing services. Went to pick up my car after 5pm (closing time) and was charged an after-hours fee of around $70. Seriously?
Their website also states open 24hrs for towing, but doesn't list any other business hours on the front page.
My car was towed while I was out of town and I wasn't notified about it. I don't know if Cartow would've been able to contact me, but I found my car online through the Utah Department of Public Safety's Impound Vehicle Service. A call or email or anything would've been appreciated if possible.
Regardless of all of this, I believe that car towing is extremely predatory, but, the driver who helped me out and the owner (who was talking over the phone) were very friendly. I really appreciate that. Other reviews say their team is friendly in general, and I believe it.
Overall I disagree with the expensive fees and lack of notification, but at least the team was friendly.
Right from the first day the tow and impound was $360 when I asked why they informed me that it was $40 for impound fee so then the tow costs $320 normally it should be around $125 well she told me that there fees for doing impound for the city is extra because the people getting towed do not have a choice isn't that great because they you dont have any say in the matter they charge extra we are having a pandemic and my car was parked out in front of the apartments where I live I even called the city and told them I would not be able to get the car registered until the middle of the month so I already have financial problems and these guys are charging me $360 from the very first day because we dont have a choice. So I found someone to help me with the cost and these guys wont budge they wont accept a check or make out an invoice to show the people I am getting assistance from. I ant to know how this is legal for them to use all these cheating ways to steal cars from Utah residents!!! hey dont believe a single word from these reviews these people are rude and think they are entitled. I guarantee they are rude to everyone that they believe they will get to keep their car well. I promise you this the people that are assisting me is a church so lets find out how the bad reputation for being bull headed and refusing to help someone that is suffering financially from the effects of COVID 19 Trying to steal an Audi I just barely bought and pretending it is because of their policies
I scheduled a tow through my insurance company this morning. I wasn't sure what was wrong with my car but it wasn't starting at all. When I spoke to my insurance they told me that the tow could be performed without my key and I would not need to be with my vehicle. I received a call from Justin with Cartow who politely explained that the key would unfortunately need to be with the car. He told me to take my time and be there when I could. I ubered over and Justin was waiting with his tow ready to go. He asked me questions about what happens when I try to start my car - I was pretty clueless. Justin was patient and explained a couple options available to me. He recommended a jump and if that failed he reassured me he'd get my car where I needed it. The jump worked and he told me it was a battery issue. Justin took the time to educate me on not turning off my car when I go to purchase a new battery and made sure I felt comfortable. I am so impressed with the patience and kindness Justin showed to me. He didn't make me feel stupid for not knowing a thing about what was wrong. Justin is my hero and he turned my day around!! Fast, friendly, efficient, empathetic, professional! Thanks for saving my day!
My driver,Todd,arrived sooner than I had anticipated.I dropped the ball and had him wandering around trying to get a hold of me for quit some time before we actually met up.He was still in good spirits and treated me as a valued customer though.His good will toward me continued even after I changed the car's drop off location mid-way through our route.Also an interesting guy who knows a thing or two about American history and cars:)
Quick and excellent service when I was stranded with a flat tire 30 miles outside of Salt Lake City. Jerry, the driver of the wrecker, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and quick on the job. I was very appreciative of the service provided.

Terrible driver. The driver drove over a 4 foot tall safety cone twice, and then just gets out of his truck and yells at me cause his truck is big and hard to drive.
