My car’s engine unfortunately died and I had it towed to my mechanic for inspection. I decided to just buy a new vehicle instead of paying the money to replace an engine in a vehicle that was 13 years old. I called Car Sold For Cash and I received a response within 30 minutes. I’ve never laughed so much at getting rid of a car! Tane was so efficient, honest and kind. I got the bad news that my trucks engine had to be replaced and it would cost more than just getting a new one. Monty at Burt’s Brothers in Silver Summit recommended me to Big Tane to get my car looked at and see if he would like to buy it. When Monty said that Big Tane was the nicest person ever, he wasn’t kidding. Big Tane helped me all throughout the process and gave me a fair deal too. Selling our VW Tiguan to Tane was an absolute breath of fresh air after a nightmare experience with the dealership. For weeks, I could barely get updates about our car’s status- sometimes going a week or more without hearing anything. After paying $3,800 for repairs, the dealership finally told us the engine was condemned due to metal shavings in the oil and offered no goodwill or assistance, even though we’d just purchased the car used in April.
When Tane heard our situation, he was kind, competent, and genuinely happy to help. We met at the dealership to see the car, and all of the stress and uncertainty vanished the moment he pulled in. He was truly like a knight on a white horse (or, in his case, a white car!). He took a quick look at the Tiguan, made a fair offer on the spot, and handled everything with professionalism and respect.
We sat in the car together to complete the paperwork, and he made what had been an exhausting process feel easy and straightforward. Big Tane is the man! I moved downtown to a city across the country from Utah soon after wrecking my car and desperately needed to get it off my hands since I no longer needed the vehicle.
