Be careful. Called to fix/replace the crankshaft sensor, he said to come in Saturday afternoon. I come in, he does the scan/looks at the engine. I ask how long it would take to fix, he says he needs to order the part which would take 2 days to get. I ask how long it would take to fix once he has the part, he says 4-5 hrs. I need my car, so we agree that I come back in a couple days. Come back at 10am, says it will take 2-3 hours— it’s almost 5pm and I haven’t heard anything so I call.
He says again he needs to order the part and it will take a couple days. I ask if I can take my car back and he says he’s already taken out the crankshaft so I can’t drive it. I tell him I need my car by the next day, he says I can’t take my car, so I say I’ll call around to get the part, did so. Within 5 min, found the part at the autozone across the street.
I show up with the part, tell him he can fix it or I can. He says he tried to call them and tried to call me earlier (he didn’t), offers me a seat. I’ve heard of mechanics taking parts and obviously don’t trust him now, so I stand there watching him for 2 hours. He did this after 5pm and charged less than $200 so he gets 1 star, but my car is still having the same issues.
I accidentally bricked a Subaru that needed to be driven the next day during some late evening attempted maintenance. I was able to tow the Subaru to Vera's at nearly 9 pm and I was met with quick service, empathy, and zero judgement. He was extremely patient with me and I felt comfortable and informed during the whole process. The Subaru was fixed and ready the next day at an extremely reasonable price. I will be coming back for all my other car repair/maintenance needs.
Belt broke on freeway going home from work so my battery wouldn't charge in my car. I needed a quick fix and called several shops that couldn't do it because they were closing or busy. Vera's was open until 9pm! And they got me in and out in 30 minutes at a great price! Couldn't be happier with their service!
I went to them a year ago to change my bearings. Now I’m paying out the ass because they shaved the axel and the bearing needs to be replaced again. I would not recommend.
Awesome and honest service ! Had issues with break fluid leaking looked at it showed me the part gave me a price that was reasonable on top of that finished it in a couple hours ! Over-all great experience!

Vera does great work, and pays attention to detail. I brought in a vehicle that had been torn apart by a previous mechanic (not affiliated with this shop). Vera did an engine swap for me and carefully repaired all of the other damage that the previous mechanic had created. My car is back, no warning lights, and running great. He's very competent and thoroughly understands auto repair, even for the big jobs. I'm grateful for his help, and I trust him for all of my car repair needs.
Broke down on a day we didn't expect to find anyone open. We got the car to this shop and they were so kind and helpful and went the extra mile for us. Very grateful to the people at Vera's auto repair!
Ricardo (Rich) has done a few repairs for me. He does quality work at a good price. I know he uses good parts and he knows his stuff. He is not a native English speaker but he has someone who can translate if needed. His shop is not as organized as a typical chain repair shop but the trade off is you get to deal with the actual mechanic working on your car who is great at what he does.
I was having an issue with my car, looked up shops closest to me, and found Vera’s. Not only were they extremely helpful, took me in the same day, but also explained to me everything they were doing and exactly what the car needed. Will definitely be going back!
This guy and family came in clutch at last minute to help me out of pickle. Really appreciate this guys integrity, fast response and knowledge. Where others may have charged me some kind of service fee he just got me right back on the road. It’s people like this to make you want to come back and use their business and owners like this that create lifelong customers. Great job!
Richie was able to get my car in and have it finished in the same day for a wheel bearing replacement on my Subaru Outback. The car is back running quiet and smooth and the work was done at a great price. Stoked to have found our mechanic!
Absolutely amazing service. I got my oil changed at Valvoline, and they forgot to put my engine cover back on. I called Vera and he opened his shop just for me to come in. He put it back on and secured it for free, very kind. Plus, very cheap and thorough oil changes! Come to Vera if you want fast, and reliable service!!!
We had a vehicle inspection done to make sure a used car we were thinking of buying was good to go. They were very friendly, thorough, and transparent with us while checking our vehicle. Caught a lot of potential issues and wrote out a report that we could bring to the dealership. Great experience to have while going through the stress of buying a new vehicle.
Richie did a great job fixing a broken valve in my AC. He got me in and out same day and the price was very reasonable. Communication was a little tricky, but he is very patient and you can't argue with the results. I'll definitely be back.
I was leaving my grandma's house and about to get on the freeway when my car started making an awful sound! I looked up "auto repair near me" and Vera's was 2 minutes away. They immediately looked at my car and let me know they could have it fixed in 2 hours. I felt so lucky to have broken down so close to this place and can't thank them enough for the speedy help and great price!
Fantastic service! I was in UT from out of state looking at buying a used vehicle. He was willing to do pre-purchass inspection for me at 6:30 pm on a Friday with little notice and only charged $65. He did, I feel, a very thorough inspection and talked through everything with me even letting me get up under the car to show me. Took about an hour. I was able to purchase the vehicle feeling confident.

They do great work, re-built my engine in my driveway in just a few days, he was always smiles and very pleasant to converse with I will definitely be back and would highly recommend.
Extremely disappointed! Went in as my Subaru was having some problem. After 4 days of trying to get my vehicle back He finally returned my phone calls. He ended up changing spark plugs. Charged me $350 but didn't tell me before hand that he only accepted cash. He was leaving for the day so I had to come back the next day with cash. Changing the spark plugs didn't fix the problem. I was so frustrated with my experience that I took it to another mechanic. I would not recommend taking your vehicle here.
Need to set expectations. This appears to be a one-man shop with about 30 cars at various stages of work. He is friendly, works hard, and if I can judge after just one visit honest and fair. I knew I needed new brakes for my 4x4 Ram truck, but it turned out I needed a new rotor too. He charge only a small amount additional labor for the rotor and parts (No upcharge on the parts). The job took 5 hours, though some of that time must have taken him to get the new rotor.
Absolutely the best. Ricardo is excellent, fair, helpful, and even shows and explains as much as possible. He is one awesome mechanic, very highly recommend!

ABSOLUTELY amazing. Ricardo took my car in super last second, right before I was gonna travel across country. I hit some debris on the road and it fricked up the under carriage of my car, but he took a look at it and fixed it up in 30 minutes. He charged us next to nothing for the repair, and I made the remaining 1,700 mile drive home. Above all, he was super friendly and kind.
Overall, if you're looking for an auto shop, stop looking. This is the place. While other car shops might have a fancy popcorn or coffee machine, "Vera's" has the mechanics you not only need, but the mechanics you want.
Richie and his team were so very helpful in getting my car back up and running after it broke down and had to be towed in. We were so lucky they were one of the few automotive shops still open that late, and they gave us a great price to get my car fixed back up and on the road. This is a great location I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good price and an honest mechanic.
My car was having an engine misfire issue in the afternoon on a Saturday. I started with changing the spark plugs myself but that did not fix the issue so I was looking to get my car in to a mechanic which was next to impossible given the time and day. Vera’s was the only one that was willing to take a look at my car which I am incredibly grateful for. After about an hour and half of “diagnostic and testing” he told me I had oil leaking in to my engine, it was likely a bad head gasket so my engine was no good and he offered to buy my car from me for $500. Since then I have received a second opinion from someone who told me to start with changing out the ignition coils, which I did, and that completely fixed the misfiring issue. It didn’t fix the oil leak problem, but my car is no longer misfiring which feels like progress. At the end of the day, stopping by Vera’s was a complete waste of time and money. There was definitely a communication barrier that may have contributed to this bad experience, but I would never recommend anyone to take their car there for anything more than simple maintenance.
I was on my road trip from Colorado to Oregon and my mini van broke down. I called Vera’s Auto Repair and he was there within 30 minutes. He towed my van to the shop and did testing. The diagnosis was the water pump and timing belt problem. He ordered the parts which came in late in that evening. It was Saturday. They normally don’t work on Sundays, but they came in Sunday morning and worked for hours so I can get back on the road to Oregon to visit my daughter. They are very knowledgeable and professional, and the price was reasonable. I would recommend their shop to anyone.
Our Suburban was leaking coolant so much that we couldn’t drive it to a repair shop. Ricardo came about 30 minutes after I called him to take a look at it. He figured out the problem, ordered the parts and was back the next day to fix it. He came and stayed until it was done. Excellent service, communication and professionalism. The work was done well, efficiently, and for a fair price. I’ll would definitely call him again.
Ricardo was great! It was a warm Saturday afternoon on a road trip to Texas, me and my sister noticed the left windshield wiper was only going halfway, even though the blades were newish. After stopping for a quick bite, we tried a couple of places to see if they could check on it but no one was available who could. Not wanting to have to stop and delay our arrival if it rains, we found Ricardo via google and gave him a call. He stopped his lunch early and met us, quickly diagnosed the problem, quickly applied a respectable fix, and even corrected another issue with the washer fluid. He was very friendly, helpful, and his prices were very reasonable. In all, he spent less than an hour fixing two problems and getting us back on the road quickly!
