I have several things to say about this business. First off I think the grumpy old man is just that...a grumpy old man. He probably has reasons to be grumpy. Second you can not go to a SALVAGE yard and expect off the assembly line parts. That is the risk in trying to save some money. I just recently bought some rims for my truck from them and they were very helpful. Now the rims had some scratches but I EXPECTED that. I made the choice to go there and be thrifty. Lastly I honestly just believe that some people now days are just too sensitive. A junk yard is dirty and rough so don't expect Marriott service. All I can say is that they had what I was looking for and I am happy with it.

At first he sold my boyfriend and I a radiator and told us if we had any issues bring it back. Well it ended up leaking when we put it in. So we brought it back and he gave us a new one that wasn't fit for our vehicle. We ended up just buying a new one because we live an hour from Wichita and was tired of driving back and forth. We took the wrong part because for a refund and he refused to refund it. And then agreed to do a partial refund. Even though we drove an hour just to come back.. He made me pop my hood just to prove that we bought a new one. Then he was taunting my boyfriend acting like he was gonna swing on him. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend doing business here.

Rude, dismissive, and such a wreck. This place is the worst. I went in and the person at the counter wouldn't even acknowledge me. Went on talking and laughing with one of his employees like I wasn't even there. I have to "Interrupt" him and ask if he had any vehicles. Very short with his customers. He was asleep when I came back with my part. Had to "interrupt" him again. Just to find out that he wanted $20 for a $5 part. Don't waste your time.

Great experience from the phone call to the in person visit. The guy was knowledgeable and friendly. I installed the fuel pump onto my Nissan Altima and it worked just like he said it would; saved me a TON of money. The pump corrected my OBD2 light on my vehicle. God bless Wichita Auto Salvage.

I've owned used cars exclusively for the last 15 years or so, and I always do my own work on my vehicles, outside of what needs a machine shop. Consequently, I'm frequently at a salvage yard for something. There are quite a few salvage yards in this town, and I can say hands down Wichita Auto Salvage is THE WORST that I have had the displeasure of dealing with. I've been there probably a dozen times in the last 5-6 years, unfortunately, and these guys are always ultra rude. They don't acknowledge you when you come in. They leave you waiting and won't tell you what for. They will pick their nose while they're on the phone and just leave you standing there. They don't cut any slack what-so-ever on a part, even a couple bucks if you are buying several other parts. I was also buying a rotor and the guy wouldn't even let me have a window strut for $5 instead of $7! As I was in the yard picking a part one day, the guy's son was walking down the yard and I went to ask him if they closed at 12 or 1 on Sat, and before I could get the question out he rudely cut me off and said "we close now!". These guys are class-A d***heads. It took several negative experiences with them to get to this point where I think they need a bad review. They deserve it. If you don't believe me, then just go out there and ask them for something. They'll treat you every time like they're doing you a favor being open at all, and they won't be the least bit happy you are there to buy something. Then, after you've had the experience that I have had, you'll see why I won't go back to that place even if they're giving stuff away. They're also the most expensive yard in town, and the only reason I even went there before is because they had more variety of newer Explorer parts than some of the others, and I grit my teeth and kept going back...but that won't be enough to have me come back anymore! I'll take my business to Henson or Miser salvage. Both of those guys have been helpful and fair in the past when I have been there. They will now get my business. One or the other, but I'm done with Wichita...

I WENT THERE ON THURSDAY BECAUSE I WAS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH MY JEEP. AS I PULLED UP Eddy was outside helping a Lady along with her grandchildren fixing a real tail light.He came over looked at my jeep and found the problem right away.I was so stressed because I was thinking the worse was wrong with my jeep he had found the problem jumped on it and I was on my way home!!! He was more than nice and went above and beyond to help me.Folks if your having a problem with your car or truck my advice to you is let him look it over you will get the truth and the best service!!! I called about a windshield for an 06 Impala and the guy was very rude and was quick to get off the phone. Considering the fact that I was not aware of a call being placed about the same type of car the guy who answered could have handled the phone call differently

Great place to go for used parts! They priced the parts reasonably! I often visit the salvage yards first for my vehicles and there is one who tries to charge full new prices for used parts. These guys don't and they are likely to have what you need!

I dont care what anybody says. Everyone I've dealt with atWichita Auto Salvage. I've always gotten amazing service. Today i needed intake manifold bolts. They knew exactly where they were. VERY ORGANIZED. And after I grabbed 8 of them. He jokingly tells my wife that'll be $10 a piece. She about had a cow. We all bust out laughing. And says we can have them. Not too mention them boys working in 110degree weather. I can't wait too come back. Thanks Wichita Auto Salvage 👍

I would give zero stars if I could. If you enjoy picking salvage yards, do NOT come to this place. They are very, very rude. For example, I went looking for some seats out of an old import suv. I found a few cars, but the seats were either gone or in pretty bad shape. While there I pulled an old relay off of what looked like an aftermarket fog lamp install. I hate to come out empty handed when I walk a yard. I get to the counter and am ignored. I finally ask how much for the relay and he says $5. This is $6.99 in autoparts stores.... I say I'll give you $2 and he takes the part from my hand and tells me not to come back unless I bring money. What????? I calmly looked at him and turned an left. This place is ridiculous. I miss my old salvage yards back home. Friendly to the point of remembering my name. - This place is horrrrrrible. Expensive - rude - and the yard was quite overgrown with weeds. Such a shame. I can't believe there are not more terrible reviews of this place.

Don't know if it's under new management but the office is cleaner and people are more friendly. If you quit going there from past experiences, I recommend you come back and see for yourself.

The people there will do what they can to help you out. The old man is a little rough around the edges but you won't meet a more honest person. If they had to depend on two dollar relays to pay the bills they would go broke. And the business hours are posted on the front window if you're just window shopping you will be ask to leave.
