Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with an auto salvage company. I sold my vehicle to Amigos Auto Parts & Auto Salvage while I was out of state, and they agreed to pay me once I sent the title. I promptly sent the title, but after 6 months, I still haven’t received a dime.
Every time I follow up, I get the same excuses from Jose and Ricardo (the owners) —"sorry, we forgot" or "we’ll get to it soon"—but nothing ever happens. At this point, it’s clear they have no intention of paying me. I was originally dealing with an employee named Douglas, but he’s since left, which I found out is because the company is apparently facing financial problems.
It feels like they’re just dragging their feet in hopes that I’ll give up. I’m now forced to pursue collections and bond claims just to try to get what’s owed to me. I’ve been more than patient, but they’ve shown no respect or responsibility.
I strongly advise against doing business with Amigos Auto Parts & Auto Salvage. They don’t honor their commitments, and it seems like they’re just trying to scam people on their way out of business. If you value your time and money, stay far away from this place.
I got scammed once, never going back. I just left a deposit for parts and they said they will call me when the parts get ready for pick up, pased a week they never call, I get on the place and I called out the guy with glasses cuz he said he personally would call me and he ignored me!! The lady on the desk said I should wait a few days more I did and never got called back I got robbed $500
felt uncomfortable having someone looking over and rushing me to take a part out when I was there for less than 15 minutes and didn’t even look at 3 vehicles before being told I wasn’t allowed anymore time, then got quoted prices as if I was buying them off eBay with warranty, when I said I wasn't paying their price, they got offended
They were very friendly and helpful. Yard was well organized and rows well number designated. Vehicles were well spaced so parts were easy to remove. Great selection of parts good prices
This is not the legit business waste your time to go here and do the business, complete unprofessional
they issued the check and owner said call shop, shop manager said call owner and finally he said for the $500 he want time for 1 week to clear the payment,
Don't cash this company checks
Dishonest and shady business, will sell you the wrong part and then charge you to order the right one. Extremely poor customer service and will talk to you in a condescending manner. Will not recommend doing business with Douglas.
Whatever you do do not buy anything from these guys because they do not honor warranties and they do not honor receipts and they steal peoples money. This salvage yard does not even need to be in business and just so they know I did contact the Better Business Bureau and I laid in a complaint against them Try to cheat, honest, hard-working people out of their money and if anybody else has been cheated by these people, I recommend that you file a complaint to because they don’t need to be in business
I would never get anything from these people they sent a front wheel drive Toyota transmission for a rwd Kia Sorento called to request money back and was cussed out and told I can't get a refund and return the incorrect part then was told I owe them a core transmission very disrespectful people who don't know there parts
Don't waste your time with these guys very unprofessional ordered a head light as told would be here the next day I called and they where suppose to call back they never did caked again the next day and was told it would be there between 12/1 I arrived and it wasn't there called again the next day and was told it was here came back to pick it up and again was told it hasn't arrived is very frustrating to deal with theses kind of things especially the person in the front he was very unprofessional I will never buy again with them out recommend them to anyone
This 0lace is better than the one up the street they used to be this location but the new management there is better 5 stars especially the white guy at counter very helpful and knowledgeable with parts and availability of parts and locating them. Thanks guys.
I am a business owner. They would not give me a core charge of 50 dollars. When I returned it. They were going to pick it up and did not.
Called several times. We're told they were too busy. When I finally took it back they refused to pay me.
I will never do business with them again
Terrible customer service, they gave me a number to call and the number was out of service... When I enquired about it and ask pricing for a part, someone from accounting got really nasty with me like I must have inconvenienced them.. Would definitely not waste your time with these unprofessional people.
There very good but the white guy at the counter was the best he found my parts quick and gave me a good price . He also was able to locate hard to find parts. Ask for Neil when u go he knows everything. And can find you any part.
I traveled from Houston to their location near Austin. They were very easy to work with and reasonably priced items. I was glad several hours (and a couple of hundred miles) later they had what they posted about in the ad. They pulled up my quote and got me taken care of quickly. Since the car was still up front, I was able to assist in pulling the panel to make sure no damage was added by removal. I would recommend calling about anything they post online. Their is a disclaimer to do so and it's true that they took 2 days to returned my Instant Message, so I had to do a bit of digging because the telephone number or name of the business was not in the ad (just the address).
