Predator towing company. Was towed despite ticket on dash from City machine indicating I was good to 10:18 pm. They blamed Cops, Cops blamed them=I'm out $300. Complaint filed with State and City of ASStin.

Im gonna say it like this. Generally when I get arrested and these folks tow my car, the entire day after is pretty wretched. Today was good. BRITTANY and Mike are responsible for the positive review so I'd like to shout them out and ya know....say maybe a little raise is in order. Although my day wasn't exactly butterflies and rainbows, it was a good effort on their parts to show a brother a little kindness. It was a very positive experience and I hope I never go there again .

Y'all Alfredo was on point! My customer had scheduled you to load me with a generator. Alfredo came up introduced himself, shook my hand and he came up with a plan that worked perfectly and was safe. Towed 1995 Ford that was not starting while we were driving to get a new battery. We left a piece of paper on dash with owners phone number. When we returned the truck was towed. We were gone all of 1.25 hrs. Took 1 hour just to figure out what company towed it. Cost $270 to get it out. Boo Southside Wrecker!!!
My car was towed during my pick up the battery was near dead and they refused to assist with a jump. They insisted that they could only use a jump box even though I had my own jumper cables. Bs
Horrible service and if it was up to me this place needs to be shut down or hire people that have common sense. The people working there now are just eating up company money. I will be posting more details on my business account Facebook and Twitter pages as I have more followers and something needs to be done about this place. ASAP and anyone who knows me knows that if they company don't do nothing I will make sure that it hits those pockets.

1st day counts as soon as they impound
2nd starts 12 hours after that
3rd day counts 24 hours after that.
So after a little over 1 day I’m charged for 3 days. Ridiculous.
This is obviously all on top of the ridiculous towing fees that exist $250+ and not even including the ticket for getting impounded which I feel is debatable to begin with (parked on street with other cars didn’t see signage saying I couldn’t park there).
I don’t have to explain how much a raw deal towing is. But the little 3 day fees just really took me over the edge.
The saving grace is the lady in the back was really nice. Seemed genuine even though obviously the situation sucks.
When we called, we were told that we had to pay either cash or cash app because their card machine was broken. We used cash app because we didn't have much choice. Beto told my wife to contact him if we needed a receipt, but after reaching out to him on several occasions, he refused to send one. We were told his grandmother was sick, and then we were told to resend our email address because he had it on his computer ready to go! Still no receipt. Without it, we are unable to get our money back from our insurance company. Now he just ignores my calls.
I called very late and needed service asap. Shannon took my call and had someone at my company van in 15 mins. The service i received from Shannon and the driver was excellent and the price was more than fair. I'm super grateful!

I had my fuel pump go out while I was outside the city limits. I called Southside and they coordinated getting me a driver, Mark Fowler, who called me while le he was en route. He asked what I had tried to rectify the problem and after we had agreed I had done all I could do he showed up and loaded my Silverado onto his truck. It was a tight parking place but he got it out and loaded without issues. He dropped it off at my mechanic in a place where they could just roll it into their bay.
All in all I found Southside to be quick, reliable, and professional. This is not the first time I've used Southside and the driver's are always first class.
My friends truck was parked legally at his mother's apartment. In the visitor section, signed in and everything. They still took his truck. They admitted they shouldn't have, and we were told we had to pick it up from the tow yard.
They literally admitted to stealing his vehicle. These people are thieves.
Last week, my car which was stolen, the police texted me when they found my car and told me it’s at the Southside Wrecker. When I went there to pick up, my car wasn’t starting. They didn’t allow me to charge my car battery. They didn’t help me with anything. They made me to tow my car, a car which battery was only out of power. I paid for my stolen car $518 to get it back that day. I still can’t believe. Seems like they stole my car to make $518 from me!! Enjoy the one star!
First of all, Jay is amazing. I got there and we hit it off immediately. She’s sweet and funny and made everything so smooth. She made getting my car towed worth it! I kinda have a crush is what I’m saying but she refused my advance! Classy dame. Anyway, she’s a catch, hope you don’t get towed
The worst. I called them this morning to schedule a tow because I had to meet them at the truck. I called again 15 minutes before the agreed upon time and they said it would be another 2 hours...maybe. They couldn't explain how an appointment for a specific time became "we should be able to get there in another 90 minutes". I called someone else who came in 30 minutes.
I tried to get my belongings from my vehicle the day after it was towed. Southside would not let me because my drivers license was expired... I tried to show them I had an appointment to get a new one as I just moved from Michigan. Still would not let me. I tried to show them my social security card and birth certificate... still would not let me.
I went back few weeks later once I had my new license... My belongings were stolen from my car. I asked one of the employees why my car was open and gone through. The response was it was up for auction. I still had another 6 days before southside could legally take ownership of the vehicle.
I've filed a police report and trying to take legal actions. pray for me, please!
My truck was stolen and I reported it as such with Travis County Sheriff. The same evening it was recovered but the county sheriff department failed to notify me. I had to do my own digging to recover my vehicle from this lot and I had to pay for the impoundment. The staff here was rude and doesn’t know what they’re doing. Multiple times I called to speak about the vehicle and different individuals said that the vehicle was not there. Finally, Selena hung up on me because she couldn’t pronounce my name and I wouldn’t tell her the correct way to pronounce it.
I live out of State and my car was towed while my daughter was borrowing it. My daughter provided them with the insurance card, to get it back, but they refused to return the vehicle to her because her first name was not on the insurance car, my wife's name is - yet we have the same very long and foreign last name - as my daughter's own identification showed - it was obvious that she was my daughter. But ok, so I called them to straighten it out. My call to Southside wrecker did not go well. I told them she was my daughter and to please allow her to pick up my car since I lived out of State and she needed it. They refused. So we called our AAA insurance regarding listing her name on the insurance card as they told us we had to do, and getting a new card sent over for Southside Wrecker, but AAA stated that although she was covered as a driver, that they can't put her name on the insurance card. I explained this to the worker at SouthSide Wrecker during my call and asked for assistance in helping since we are out of State and that they are holding my vehicle and am giving my daughter permission to pick it up - they refused to acknowledge my relationship or request. Since this company is charging money to hold my personal property more and more each day, profiting from their lack of customer service to assist in the return of my property is offensive and financially abusive. I asked for the attendant's name so I can fact gather as I planned to hand this matter over to my attorney to handle. The person refused to give her name. After asking several times, attempting to explain that they are holding my personal property and profiting from their refusal to return it to my daughter, that it was only reasonable to gather all the facts so I can research what could be done to get my property back. She then said her name was "Becky" but then told me to "guess" her last name. Obviously, adding insult to injury didn't make the situation any better.
Getting one's car towed is one thing, but then holding it without providing reasonable customer service as they profit more by delaying the return is another. There is no reason why they couldn't offer common sense solutions for an out-of-State owner, such as allowing us to provide other documents showing our relationship to our daughter with her copy of the insurance card, her ID, etc. I see other other comments on here about the service being unprofessional and nasty and I am here to provide validation to that.
Giving this place four stars out of five because my husband dealt with the staff while I waited outside in our car. He went in the building upset and actually came out smiling! He said they were very professional, courteous, and accommodating. These people WILL work with you!
Worst driver ever. Ran off the road on i35 flinging rocks and dragging a gas can. As he pulled a trailer we noticed he didn’t even have his safety chains. Company said they would pay for us a new windshield, when it came down to it they declined. It would be a shame if karma came back to their vehicles.
My sister car got towed over the weekend and due to certain circumstances she was unavailable so it was up to me to get it out for her before it accumulated a big balance. Calling over the phone and speaking to them once I got there went very smooth! Customer service was great. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience.
I had an incredibly positive experience with Southside Wrecker. Victoria and Noe in the office were extremely kind, offered a quote that was very fair compared to a couple other quotes I got and the vehicle needing towed was a bit heavier and longer than standard, but they dispatched Bruno with a heavy duty truck. Bruno treated me with respect and did a great professional job caring for the loading points, travel, and unload. He played a really great song by the Vandykes on the trip and gave me a personal mechanic shop referral too. Victoria explained that sometimes the quote over the phone may be increased if the tow driver has to do extra work or something unexpected comes along; fortunately my tow didn't have any complications and the quote they gave me over the phone was honored when they unloaded it!
Feeling very blessed and grateful for a smooth transaction, I saved their number and will use again and recommend. Thank y'all so very much!!
Very nice people. Helped me when my truck was stolen. Even helped get it started when it wouldn't go. One of my more pleasant visits to a wrecker.
Oh, fair warning. They do have quite a few rules that are hardline, so if you want to save yourself some money ask questions and take the rules as gospel.
I was treated very well, and my nearly new pickup truck was loaded aboard their flatbed very professionally, systematically and safely. Albert’s tow truck looks very 21st century, and seems big enough and strong enough to tow a small house. I was very happy with how he and his company treated me—their female dispatcher was friendly and efficient, and Albert was the same. When he arrived less than 20 minutes after my call, it was a great way to top off the misery of waiting HOURS for another company that clearly was never going to show up. I’d hire Southside Wrecker again in a flash. Five stars and two thumbs way up.
Michael helped my family and I tow a car that wouldn’t start and a prized motorcycle that also wouldn’t start to a new location, all in one trip. The motorcycle is my late Mom’s and he was extra careful with making sure that it was really secure and taken care of because I told him how scared I was of it becoming further damaged. He drove super carefully and took side streets to assure that the ride would be as smooth as possible, and he expertly unloaded both of them even though neither the bike or the car were cooperating. He was also a decent dude to be around and chat with! Some people hate their jobs and project that negativity onto their customers, I didn’t get a single second of that- All I saw was pride in his work.
I cant even express how easy he made this process for my family and I, where otherwise making 2 trips would have been a real huge pain and cost. I’m sincerely thankful for the expert work that Michael put in, and for this company. Thank you Southside Wrecker, and thank you Michael!
