I always get fantastic service here.
The mechanics are very thorough and maticulous.
I got my oil changed today and Brennen was great. Brennen also replaced my brakes a few months ago and I haven't had an issue since.
I got a check engine light last summer and Charles took care of me with a new thermostat. He also did my alignment recently after I hit a curb and my steering is straight as an arrow now.

horrible will never ever come back and I will never have any thing good to say about pep boys I have a battery I bought from them - has 4 year warranty -its 3 years and 1 month and has failed paid over 200.00 so it would have good warranty-went to Arlington store and talked to a lady that works there said she has been there for a long time-/would not warranty my battery-i told her I wanted to talk to corp - she said she would leave them a message and being calling me back- she flat out lied to me -never got any calls-/she wasn't about to warranty the battery /so now I will never step foot in those stores and every chance I get I will tell every body I know or run across to not buy from pep boys- period I use to buy a lot of stuff from the Arlington store on Collins never again

Never go to this location. They do dishonest work and will argue you down if you complain, making it seem like you’re making the problem up.
I had an issue with my fuel cap sensor light being on. After doing a diagnostic, they told me my entire EVAP system was failing and that I needed to replace multiple parts. I trusted them and spent over $700 — when it turned out the issue was only the gas cap, which I could have replaced myself.
After all that, I went to get a state inspection and it failed again because of the gas cap. Charles told me their machine must be broken because he claimed he tested the cap, which I don’t believe — because once I bought another gas cap, it passed immediately.
So which is it? Was it really the EVAP system, or did I just waste my money? They argued with me, insisting it was a large EVAP leak, yet the paperwork they gave me clearly states it was a small leak.Jan 23, 2026 -

I was able to call, stop by, wait, and have a new battery installed within 40 minutes! The employees were also very friendly and helpful! Would 1,000% recommend this location!

I had the worst experience here just now. First of all for a tire patch it’s 30$. They put a plug in my tire allegedly and it was still leaking massive amounts of air. I had to pay 15$ to patch it at a different tire shop just now and they told me that whoever “plugged” my tire allegedly didn’t even plug it. I have filed a dispute on the 30$ with my bank account. I highly recommend you do not go here for a patch as they will just try to sell you on a new tire you don’t need. Go to freeway auto service and tires down the road they took 5 mins to do everything for me. While I had to wait an hour and some change to get a leaky patch job, if they even did that.

Pep boys service at the 1212 N. Collins St., Arlington, location was great. The service person even helped to put back in place something that was hanging from the bottom of my car. Lol! I so appreciate him for doing that! I will keep them in mind for future repairs!!

The time it took to complete a tire patch was poorly communicated and extremely long. I arrive at 3pm and got checked in. By 3:30pm, I asked if there was an update and was told they are just now going to look at the car. By 4pm, it’s taken 3x longer than it would at discount tire. They said they didn’t have the right size patch, had to order one, have received it and it will be done soon. It’s 4:30 and they have not touched the tire. It’s now 5pm and it has taken 2hrs to complete a 30min-1.5hr task. If they gave me an ETA from the start or when I inquired, it wouldn’t have been such a waste of my time.

I like the girl up front she is nice .... I get my old charged.

They kept the cover to my catalytic converter instead of installing it back on my car.
After this review I got a call back to make it right and locate the cover - no followup for a week. Then corporate called and within an hour then store called me back offering to get me a new cover for $550. I just want my cover back.Oct 10, 2025 -
Extremely expensive. Dishonest people quote you. I was quoted $1400 on parts. I had the parts delivered to my house for under $200.

I came in for a 120-point inspection and left very disappointed with the experience. It felt rushed, and the mechanic who actually performed the inspection refused to explain the findings to me directly. Instead, the front desk person quickly read through the notes and gave vague explanations of “what it could mean,” rather than telling me exactly what was found.
I asked for an estimate or at least an email copy with more detail. She said it was too much to handle at the moment but would email it to me the following day. It’s now been 4 days and I’ve received nothing.
To make it worse, I came in with a missing turn signal, and the paperwork I received states that “all signals and lighting are in place.” That’s a serious oversight for a shop charging nearly $100 for an inspection.
Meanwhile, the environment didn’t inspire confidence — a bunch of employees blasting TikTok music and joking around instead of acting like professional mechanics, all while providing lousy service.
Overall, I paid good money for what should have been a thorough inspection, but instead got rushed service, inaccurate paperwork, and zero follow-up. I expected much better from Pep Boys.Sep 22, 2025 -
Don’t waste your time here to change your tire here and I recently had my tire changed and I still have warranty on it but they won’t fix the tire. Any time you want to fix a tire or anything they charge you

I came in needing my car fixed—not a surprise warranty. I agreed to the quoted labor and parts, just wanting my car working again. Nothing was said about a warranty during the transaction.
Later at home, after I finally had a chance to read through my receipt, I discovered Pep Boys had quietly added an $86 extended warranty without my consent or even a mention. That’s not just a minor oversight—it’s misleading.
When I returned the same day to request a refund, I was told I’d have to come back again because the manager wasn’t available. That’s not just inconvenient—it’s evasive. If a warranty is optional, it should be clearly disclosed and confirmed with the customer before billing. Sneaking it in after the fact feels shady.

False information on the website. Made an appointment to have AC service done on a Sunday. They claimed the AC guy was on vacation. This is the 2nd Pep Boys I went to today. The other location said they do not have an AC Tech that works on Sundays. Their website provides untruthful information. IF 0 WAS A RATING OPTION I WOULD GIVE THEM A 0 FOR FALSE ADVERTISING!

Went in today for AC check. My appointment was at 10:30. I arrived at 10:20. At 11:10, my car had not been taken to the bay. It wasn't busy, but I only saw one tech. There was only one other customer waiting on his car.

Their computers were very slooow when trying to pay my invoice when picking my vehicle up. The Link they say you can use to check status of how the repairs are progressing didn't work so had to call a couple of times to get updated. ⭐⭐
Problem: Mechanic that worked on my vehicle was a little rough overall. ⭐
1. Greasy finger prints on the grill, hood, drivers door and gas cap door.⭐ Car had been washed day before I left it with them so it was obvious everything he touched.
2. My black leather steering wheel had a coating of oil, grease mixed with sand all over it. I had to pull over quarter mile down the road and wipe it down with Clorox wipes.⭐ SMH
3. When Mechanic had completed the work, he parked my front bumper into grass and buried my ground effects into the dirt. ⭐
I heard a loud scraping noise when backing out to leave. SMH

I went to have a flat tire looked at and see if it could be patched. I kept adding on a few additional services and without a fuss or complaint they looked, checked, double checked, helped with financial options, discounts, etc. I had my car in and out with a full service work up. Helen and Brennen are top tier representatives. Very attentive, informative and simply AMAZING customer service. Thank you guys for making this process easy! It was a hot day, and they even started my car for me so I can go into the air conditioning. BRING UR CAR HERE! You won’t be disappointed!!!

We were in town for a soccer tournament / spring break and someone clipped our rental car in a parking lot. Needless to say I was frustrated. I took it to Pep Boys & Brandon helped us tie the bumper up to avoid further damage AT NO CHARGE! We appreciated the help and would recommend taking your car over to see them if you're looking for EXCELLENT SERVICE!

New tires are amazing thanks to my original associate that helped me get them and the manager was a total professional. I didn't like the fact that one of the associated told me a needed more work done on my car even though I had already gotten it done months before. They are trying to over sell serviced my car didn't need. That I did not appreciate

I brought my car to Pep Boys for a warranty repair, and my experience has been nothing but frustrating. The first time, the repair took triple the time they originally told us. When I finally got my car back, it started making a terrible noise, and I was suddenly told I needed four new tires instead of two because of the type of car I have. Again, they gave me a completion time, and again, the car wasn’t ready when promised.
Fast forward a year, and I had to use the warranty again. This time, I was told my car would be ready by 1:00 PM. At 2:05 PM, I called to check on it, only to be told the technicians needed a lunch break and now my car wouldn’t be ready until 3:00 PM—two hours after the promised time!
The lack of communication and constant delays make it clear that customer service is not a priority here. I would NOT recommend taking your car to Pep Boys.Mar 16, 2025 -
I've taken my car here for service a couple of times and every time I go, I have a great experience. They really take care of you. I went last week to have a new battery installed. Brennin did a great job. He was very efficient and got it done quickly and I was outta there.

I recently got a brand new set of tires with a warranty at another Pep Boys location, but they didn’t align the vehicle and weren’t very nice. I reached out to this location, and Brandon and Helen were super helpful. They ordered a new tire the same day and had it ready the next day. I was in and out quickly, and the warranty covered everything. The service was excellent and made me feel appreciated. Highly recommend this location!

We ran over a screw while looking at Christmas lights in the area, and the wonderful team saw us immediately, let us bring our dogs in the warm lobby, and stayed past closing to make sure we were completely taken care of. Management was friendly and helpful, even giving us a T-shirt and chapstick, and the mechanics were super efficient and quick! The new management is fantastic :)

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! I left my car here to get repaired and this is what I got back in return. They claimed that a tow truck backed up into my car but what I don't understand is how the inside of my car looked like a hurricane hit it when I left it spotless. What they did was went through my stuff when they weren't supposed to and took my car for a joy ride. They left my car in worse shape than before.
