Everything was going smooth, and easy to get approved. They tell me I get approved and can put this much down and to come in next day to sign the rest of paperwork, well following day comes and now the guy says he's waiting on teller cause numbers weren't adding up and gave them all the info they needed and he said he'll call me in 5 mins, and 5 mins turned to 2-3 hours so we drive to Portland I live in cc, and guy tells me he's still waiting to hear back and then says best to come in Thursday since parts are coming in for car so it'll be serviced and fine to drive off with and said he would call me asap so I wouldn't have to drive there for no reason, well i never got a call or text anymore about the vehicle I got approved for and guy stopped responding, I really had high hopes because of the reviews but I was disappointed in the end due to the lack of communication, if I couldn't get approved for that vehicle why the run around they could've just told me ahead of time so I wouldn't have wasted my time waiting around for a vehicle I thought I was getting.
Bought my vehicle from Roger and it was such a smooth process! Everyone was so kind in sales and in the service center when I went to get my first free oil change!!
We were driving to Corpus Christi in our Jeep when the driveshaft failed outside of Portland TX. The tow truck took us and our Jeep to Taggart Service Center. It was closed at the time but we did the drop off thing with the key. They called us the next day and since our Jeep has no doors or roof, they immediately took it inside to protect it. They kept in contact throughout the process and did great work. If you need your car or truck worked on, go see the guys at Taggart.
I had a great experience overall. Fast, friendly and knowledgeable. No one used any sales tactics on me to do any useless work, in fact, quite the opposite. I was told I may need a certain part once they got in there and looked. Had me a little worried at first but I got the call that it wouldn’t be necessary.
I will definitely use this shop from now on.
They were done with all the work I needed without any delays.

As someone who has had horrible experiences with dealerships, I'm so happy to say that everything here went great. Roger and Cullen both made this such an easy process and worked with me the entire time to ensure I both understood and was fully updated every step of the way. Big thanks to Roger for helping me out and working with me to get my car shipped from 11 1/2 hours away. Absolutely wonderful customer service and overall great people. Omg Today was an awesome blessed day. I had been keeping in touch with Liz who works at Taggart in Portland about wanting a truck and staying close to home. To my surprise we got there and Raul came out, we were surprised to see him, it has been a good while, but we were so happy for him to be helping us with our purchase today! We know him from before, we have purchased 3 vehicles already with them. The process was so fast, we were in and out of there in no time with a brand new truck. My son was car shopping and we intended on making a few other stops besides Taggart Motor Co. However, after the warm and welcoming treatment we received from our salesman Raul we sealed the deal and my son came home in the Nissan Titan he’d been wanting. Raul was knowledgeable, kind and non pushy, which is always a turn off to me. Roger worked with us on the numbers until we were all satisfied. Colin made the paperwork a breeze and gave my son some imperative advice. Thank you all for making this a great experience for my son!
I personally went to several places and Taggart was the one that did not push and stuck by what they said. Was a very pleasant visit and the process went fast. Went in told them my price range and with in 24 hours drove off with what I wanted and with in my price range. Gave more for my trade in than any where I went. Then took in to get service and lady was going to give car to use in meantime. I am very happy with all the help there, from the sale to to service department. I highly recommend them!!!

They replaced the power steering pump that went out in our Chevy. Even though there were other things that could have been upgraded, they didn’t attempt to pressure us to get them fixed right away, which most repair shops do. They actually provided information on what could be upgraded and the prices to allow us to make an inform decision. Very impressed with the staff all who are professional and helpful.
I bought my first car with Raul at Taggart Motor Co. years ago and had a fantastic experience working with him. When I returned in July, seven years later, to buy my second car, Raul was, as always, a pleasure to work with.
However, three months later, my AC went out, so I brought it in for service, thinking it would be covered under my warranty. Unfortunately, my experience with the service department, especially with Mr. Brad, was disappointing. Each time I spoke to him on the phone, he was rude, and I never received a call back with updates on my car. After two days of waiting, I finally went in to check on the progress, and we asked to speak with Brad directly. Despite this, he never came out to address our concerns, and Raul ultimately stepped in to help us.
To make matters worse, I was informed that my AC repair would not be fully covered under the warranty, and they had already proceeded with the repair without notifying me, leaving me unexpectedly responsible for over $300 in costs. Thankfully, Raul went above and beyond, speaking with the manager, who agreed to cover half the expense.
Additionally, Brad had mentioned over the phone that he would take care of my upcoming oil change, but when I picked up my car, this hadn’t been done. It’s been a stressful and disappointing experience with Brad and the lack of communication in the service department, but Raul’s dedication and commitment to his customers helped make the situation better. Thank you, Raul, for always going the extra mile!
At the beginning Taggart Motors wasn't even an option, my last 4 vehicles all had been brand new. After dealing with several new car dealers who all want to charge MSRP or above, plus another $1500-4000 hidden fees often called a dealer preferred package on top of the advertised price for a tint job, wheel locks and a cheap $20 trunk mat that you can have done elsewhere for less than a few hundred bucks had now made new car shopping unbearable. Twice we tried to put money down on a vehicle in transit only to find the advertised price inflated with hidden fees then TTL. One in Dallas and another in New Orleans dealers in corpus were flat out of their mind on prices. Gone were the days where every new car dealer had a magical sales event going on every day.
This is what inspired us to even walk into Taggart Motors a local used car dealership or I should say myself because the wife was dead set against used no matter what the cost was. Long story short Taggart was able to find the wife a 2022 with 8k miles that she absolutely loves. It has the same body and interior as a new 2023. No crazy fraud up charges and was able to walk away with several thousand more in my pocket vs buying new. No games at Taggart, simple here's the price and that's the price plus TTL. Fast simple honest and great pricing. I would strongly suggest anyone searching in the car market to stop on by Taggart Motors.

Pleased to share nothing but the highest praise to the entirety of the Taggart Motor Co. Team. Best car purchasing experience of my life, and Lord, I've never been quite this old (53). Explained my needs (my needs included luck, providence, fortune, and a wonderful lender that would find a way to approve me for a loan) and the ideal type of car I was looking to purchase.
I had the fortune to work directly with Stan Colbert after the owner Nathan Taggart took the time to personally explain the process to me. Stan and I had excellent communication, and he found a car I love more than I dared hope.
Without help from Team Taggart, I am convinced I would have paid more for a lower quality vehicle with a less pleasant driving experience. I might not even have been able to buy one without their help! And - the car I bought (hybrid Hyundai Ioniq 5) is saving me enough gas money each month to cover the total car payment cost.
Best of all, the car came with a warranty that would normally have cost me hundreds of dollars if not more. Every step of the process was easy, trusting, with caring folks who just want to help folks like me get into the perfect ride. And they did that better than I thought possible. Share the news with friends and family, and you can tell them I give my word on the matter. :)
Just thoroughly disappointed with the service department and their pricing and quality of work. It's been one lie after another with them and overcharging for inferior products and service. I suggest calling and finding another shop if you want things done correctly and fairly.
The reply is another lie. I don't post reviews lightly, given this company 3 chances, once buying a vehicle and twice at the service department. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, will not make that mistake again.
Great price and service. I was looking for a 6x12 cargo trailer with a ramp, and Jacob was able to quickly show me the available options. I must of been there only an hour and I was out the door with a new trailer. I appreciate the great service.
Had a very smooth experience today. Raul was great, very friendly and not pushy at all. Helped us get a good deal on a used truck. From the initial phone call to driving off it was prolly the best experience in buying a car.
Unexpectedly finding ourselves in need of an enclosed trailer, we traveled to nearby Corpus Christi. We discovered internet searches produced inaccurate information as two lots we visited did NOT have any trailers in their inventory. Exasperated, I called Taggart's and inquired if the information on their website was correct and I was kindly assured it was. We left Corpus and headed into Portland, hoping we had not been led astray. Upon arrival we could see an array of trailers and quickly received help from a sales rep. After considering three different trailers we selected one and made our purchase. Our sales rep, Hunter, and the manager, Pat, both gave us calls when we were nearly 1000 miles into our first towing journey to see how the trailer was performing as well as to make sure we were happy with our purchase. The entire experience was low pressure and painless. The staff seems genuine in their desire to keep their customer happy even after the sale. I have no doubt their commitment to the customer does not begin and end with trailer sales but with all they do; as a result I would be comfortable recommending Taggart's for any service or product they provide.
