I broke down in Waco heading home to the Dallas area and was fortunate enough to find Cen-Tex Mobile Automotive. Late on a Saturday afternoon they were able to replace my alternator and get me back on the road and home that night. Had it not been for them I likely would have had to stay overnight in Waco and pay at least double the price I was charged. Service was fast, friendly and more than reasonably priced. I highly recommend them
Great service, I felt I could really trust Myron. He was very helpful and made me aware of everything he did to my car and with very reasonable pricing.
Responded to a walk in emergency with immediate service. Explained everything that needed to be accomplished in layman terms and provided an estimate quickly. He even gave me a ride home. I was impressed with the customer service.
This is my first time writing a review and honestly I am very disappointed at Cen-Tex. The guy seem really cool and fantastic at first. He checked the truck and told us the problem. We agreed for him to fixed it and we paid a lot of money. However, he ended leaving the truck with MORE ISSUES. I tried reaching out to him several times morning and evening but we didn’t get a response. We have to pay for towing services. Please be aware people
Myron has taken car of my vehicles the last 2yrs. I completely trust him. He let's me know what exactly is the problem. And doesn't do what isn't necessary! And the is has always been responsible.
Man Myron hooked me up I needed my ac recharged on my dodge charger scatpack pulled up he got right to it!! And now my ac is blowing cold. Friendly place and glad I went here Big thank you !!!

Car broke down when I was working out of state. I towed it to a nationwide brand and they spent three days just trying to find a part and could not. I towed it to Cen-Tex Mobile Automotive and within 2 hours they found a part and had it installed the next day. The car made it from Texas all the way to SC with no problems. Highly recommended.
Honestly this dude Myron really helped me out and got my car running in about 30 min.

Myron is so helpful and tells us exactly what we need to repair...I don't feel like he gouges us with a lot of extra charges. We will continue to use him. Great personality and so friendly! Him and his wife!

I am giving you a 4 star rating due to the fact 8 folks almost, basically said the exact thing (complaints) within the last 5-6 months... what a coincidence!?!?!? It seems those ratings were malicious.

But, the much older reviews regarding this company showed arrogance, maliciousness towards the vehicles' owners. I say it as I see from your business' rebuttals which gave you -1 star; thus receiving 4 stars.
I was told that a mechanic did a great job the not far from my residence on the beginning of July 2023, or thereabouts hence, again giving you 4 stars.
I hope your business gets a lot of customers.
To be honest I am VERY upset with this company…I’m in tears as I sit at home wondering when my vehicle will be repaired. It’s been 9 months!!!! If I could go back into time I would’ve NEVER took my car here. Sadly I did. And my friend also went through the same thing. Save yourself the headache and choose a different shop.
Myron and James are AWESOME!! I was literally in the worst bind with my vehicle and they took the best care of me and my vehicle and got me back on the road QUICK! I can't thank you both enough!!
We have a 1966 truck and we’ve had him come to our house 3 times for various repairs. Brake repair, replace starter, fix wipers and battery. He knows his stuff, friendly and pricing in great! I highly recommend!!
I was on vacation with my family, and our check engine light came on at night and most auto repair places were closed. Luckily for us they were still open. They did a diagnostic check, and found that it was an issue with a sensor. They found the problem, fixed it for us, they were friendly, they worked quickly, and stayed open late when we really needed them.
Edit: The owner responded saying someone else destroyed my center console and threw out all my items. I am the only person who drives my car and it is shameful to not take responsibility for your actions.
On my way to work on Saturday, my engine reached critical temperatures and could no longer use my vehicle. I had my fiance choose the shop since I had to work. Centex said it was the water pump and several components were melted, that's fine. They didn't work on the car until Thursday so I was without a vehicle for several days, and then when I picked the car up, I noticed my center console was damaged and the mechanics threw all my personal items out onto the front seat. They charged me $900 for a service while also destroying my center console. The photos attached show how the console hinge is misaligned and also the lever is completely broken off. I am not happy at all with this business and will avoid it at all costs. I would not recommend it to anyone.
A friend and I were coming back from a trip to Fredericksburg. It was after 7pm when we passed through and we had a tire going flat. We found him through an internet search ànd called. He had left to go grocery shopping with his family which is entirely understandable. After about an hour he returned to his shop. We were outside and had been told by another provider, who would only change the tire and not repair it, that we would have to wait at least 2 more hours past that. Thankfully, Cen-Tex was a lifesaver. He had come back to pick up his wife's phone from the office. He fixed the tire while we waited even though his family and groceries were in the truck. Can't say enough about this young man. We paid for the repair and it was well worth it. We were able to get home before midnight and we live in Dallas. Initially, we thought we might have to stay in Waco overnight. Such a great young family man. I highly recommend him if you need someone who is polite and professional.
I spoke with Myron and he was able to schedule an appointment for me 3 days in advance for a pre-purchase inspection and compression test since I'd be driving in from Dallas. On the day of the appointment, he cancelled 20 minutes AFTER he was supposed to arrive. I attempted to call him multiple times at least 3 hours before the appointment and on the day of the appointment.
I'm very disappointed in the professionalism shown. If you're no longer available, please inform me of that as soon as possible. Don't wait until after the appointment to notify me that you will no longer be coming.
EDIT: Hey Myron, I see your response and acknowledge that the appointment was on Father's Day. However, you told me that you would be available on Father's Day. I think it would have been ideal if you had informed me that you'd chosen to spend that day with your daughter when I initially texted you at 9am or even sometime BEFORE the appointment time. I'm upset that you chose to ignore my calls and texts until 20 minutes after the appointment time. Any warning would have been fine, but I wasn't given any. I attempted to reach out on Saturday, the day before, as well. I can include this in the screenshots if you'd like.
I scheduled an appointment a few days ago, no one showed up. Before the appointment I even called to confirm, no answer. So I left a voice mail, left 2 well after the appointment time. No one showed, no one answered the phone. I TOOK THE DAY OFF WORK and WAITED ALL DAY, after I realized no one was coming it was too late to find a different business still open. So you guys suck, you wasted my time. Even if you had the decency to tell me you weren’t coming then I could have found and paid someone else.

This guy is great! He is very knowledgeable and he wont screw you he is honest and works hard he fixed my truck after a someone had damanaged it and abandoned my truck ive driven 300 miles since the repair and ive had no issues he will be the only person working on my 97 dodge dakota from now on

He is awesome! Was quick to respond (even on Memorial Day), arrived quick, looked at the car, fixed our car (we were stranded 3 hours from home), was super professional and was priced great. When I was on a road trip from Colorado, we found ourselves stuck in Waco with a failed timing belt and bad bearing in the water pump. I called Cen-tex first. He showed up in about 20 minutes, on a holiday, and diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes. He was cool on the phone and in person. Great guy!
He took the job, and I had a tow truck drop my truck with him. Part of the repair took a lot more work than expected. He worked on that one crank bolt for 2 more days to get it loose without breaking anything. He worked hard on it and kept me in the loop on what was happening.
After 3 days, and a ton of effort, he got that bolt loose and was able to finish the job.
I cant thank this guy enough for his extraordinary effort and honesty. I will send anyone his way if they have issues in Waco in a heartbeat.
He is the real deal folks. My daughter's car battery went bad. It was freezing cold. To replace the battery you had to take off the front left tire. He did it all in a short period of time. All at my place if business.. Highly recommend.
Great guy, great service w/ reasonable rates! After breaking down in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere I found him on google. He answered first ring, took information and arrived with materials within a short time. After install, it was found more materials were needed. Unfortunately they wouldn't be available until following morning. Even after having him out late, he returned bright and early to get me and my 8 year old back on the road. Car has ran great since! Thank you!!!!
Had a problem with my truck not starting, came and checked everything out and fixed it fast and for a fair price. Would definitely recommend. I wouldn’t trust that one star review, there is always people complaining about stuff to try and get a discount or something. Excellent service all the way Around.
Myron Ballard came to our rescue when our car broke down in Waco on our way from Dallas to San Antonio. The belt had broken on our Mercedes and had to be replaced. He was prompt after we called him and assessed the situation quickly. He went and got the parts and changed the belt(s) at the gas station we had pulled into. He was polite and his price was fair.
I had the most awful experience...he came to look at my ac..started pulling fuses didn't know how to put them back right. Well whatever he did my car wouldn't start now. Well after an hour of him trying to figure what he had done he gave up and said if I did something to your car I would tell you. Then he had the nerve to ask for payment!!! I ended up having to have my car towed and worked on because of this man. Use at your own risk
