DO NOT RECOMEND WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY !! MY CAR WAS THERE 3 WEEKS AND NOT FIXED.
I initially brought my car into the shop back in January for an AC issue. It was blowing warm air out of the air vent on the driver side and passenger and rear air weren't as cold either even on AC. They said it was the evaporator so we let them change it that took that took about a week to do. He said if we have any issues to let him know because the evaporator is under warranty . Everything was good until the end of May it started doing the same thing is was doing in January so we call and they said bring it in first thing in the morning and we will get it looked at so we did he said there were a few cars in front of me that was Monday June 2 Wednesday rolls around and still haven't heard anything about what the problem is so we called and he said it was the AC compressor and the Evaporator ( yes the new one) that he would have to order parts and they wouldn't be there until Friday and probably wouldn't get to work on the car again until the following Monday so we picked my car up and then took it back first thing Monday morning June 9th. They changed the evaporator (again) AC compressor and still didn't fix the problem. Then they changed the blend doors as well as the condenser and expansion valve and that still didn't fix the problem so Today July 3rd we picked up my car shelled out more money and my car is still not fixed and on top of all that my cars gas tank was on EMPTY ! They told us we could bring it back in a few days to run some diagnostics on it but I DON'T TRUST THEM OR WHAT THEY SAY
Bad business I wouldn’t recommend this place, they cheated me out of my money. I took my car to get the Ac done & they told me they’ll have it finish in a couple days & that they’ll call me to lmk how much. I never got a call back until I called them after a week pass by & they said they still hadn’t got to it & that they’ll get to it soon.. well couple days after that day went by & they finally called saying it’ll be $520 but they’ll have to keep it for another week to make sure that nothing els was messed up on my Ac & that everything will be good on my Ac after that & that I won’t have any problems so I agree to that & got my Ac done.. well once I got my car back, not even 2 weeks went by, my Ac went out again & I took it back & the next day they called saying it’ll be $575 cause they found a part that was messed up & they didn’t spot it last time.. so I just wasted $500 to get nothing fix on my car but to add freon & Dye & labor.. if you looking to get your Ac done I wouldn’t go to this place, they’ll get over you on your money.
Have used this repair shop several times for different auto issues - they have always done a GREAT job at fair prices. Great people and reliable mechanics.
One star for this business took my cargo van cause it was leaking water from an aluminum heater line . They checked it and said it would be $600 to fix then they said maybe $650 or $700 . Because they would have to do a lot of work. So I went home in 15 minutes I took the aluminum line down and used in steel stick on the aluminum line result problem fixed ! No telling how many people in Waco have been cheated out of their money!!! It was a simple fix they made it seem like it was a difficult job . People have given them good reviews cause they don’t know better. I don’t recommend them!!!
Got an ac hose made here for a 74 vw beetle. I was greeted instantly and the whole staff was very knowledgeable and courteous. Definitely will be back here in the future. Highly recommend these guys!!!!!

Thanks to Renschler for fixing my son's truck. When we first came to Waco, we didn't know who to take our cars to, until we decided to look online. One of the review's online stands out to us and we decided to go with them. It was the best decision we did make and from ever since we first met them in 2021, we been going with them from ever since. The best place and the staff is friendly.
Good folks who know what they're doing; they answered my questions and worked with me in dealing with my scheduling challenges. I'm happy to recommend them to anyone dealing with automotive troubles.

Wasted 2 days to tell me they don't want to do the job I asked. Then charged 100 to change my oil without it being authorized! I'll stick with midas and Jessie britts!!

We were fortunate to be referred to Renschler Auto to have the dash A/C fixed in our motorhome. Repair was done quickly and for a very reasonable price. The A/C is working great now just in time for the hot Texas summer!
The personnel there are courteous and professionals. As soon as I was next the attendant listened to what I had to say and immediately identified the part and had the welder to get my A/C line tailored to the specifications that I needed. The A/C line was perfect and now my car A/C is ready for the hot summer.

We had an electrical issue with our Motorhome and were having difficulty finding someone to repair it. I finally called here and they stated that they weren't sure they could fix it but would certainly give it their best shot. These guys were great to work with, and finally found the problem. They even gave us a break on the hourly rate!! I highly recommend this place, and we now have a place to take our Motorhome. I would not take my vehicle anywhere else in the Waco but renchler automotive you can trust those guys.... And that's a rare thing to say not a motor world anymore..... Lynn the manager is courteous and as professional as they get.....
I had a bad experience with this company I called to get a quote on replacing my air conditioner line they quoted me at 275-300 so I brought my vehicle in the next day and they remembered me calling the previous day and asked me what did they quote me at so I repeated to them that they said 275-300 so I signed some papers and left thinking I was going to return to a fixed vehicle with cold ac . Approx. 2 hours later I get a call saying that the part was harder to get to them expected and that I was going to be charged 200 extra on top of my already established 275-300 quote so my total would be $500 horrible communication and tried to get over on me saying that the time of labor would be 200 for ever extra hour I do not recommend taking your vehicle to them this happened in June 28 2018
Dropped off my F-150 on a Sunday with a leaky radiator, the price they quoted was significantly lower than other shops. I called the next morning and they were already working on it. Asked them check the A/C as well. Both bills were very reasonable and ready that same afternoon . They could have taken advantage of me, but didn't. Paid over the phone and they left the F-150 out. Could not have been more convenient !!
I've known the Renschler's for nearly a half a century, I remember Mr. Renschler, his brother, grandpa, Tommy and Ritchie. It was the only place you had to "buy" your paycheck ! It was either a Coke or peanuts to get paid(all in good fun). Honesty and integrity has been their business model for decades. I'd make it my first stop for radiator or A/C. (Mark)
We are from Indianapolis, in Waco on business. The A/C went out in my husband's truck before we set out for Waco. He took it to our mechanic that has been servicing our vehicles for over twenty years. We were told it was going to cost nine hundred dollars to fix it. We didn't have the extra money so we made the thousand mile trip enduring the scorching heat.
When we got to Waco (it's HOT here!) my husband asked around for a good A/C mechanic. He was given a couple different names. He went to the first one and was told they could fix it for six hundred. Then he went to Renschler's and they said they could fix it for three hundred. He was thrilled!
He scheduled a time and went back the next day, happy that it was only going to cost three hundred. The mechanics offered him a comfortable place to sit while they worked on the A/C. Ten minutes later they returned. My husband supposed it was bad news but...
THE A/C WAS FIXED!! And they only charged him FIFTY DOLLARS!!
Wow, honest mechanics are hard to find! They could've easily collected three hundred, the original estimate they gave us. But it wasn't as hard to fix as they suspected. Thank you SO MUCH Renschler's!! The trip home will be much more pleasant. Waco, we HIGHLY recommend Renschler's!!!
Had a bad and good experience with them if you are mechanic and keep a close eye on them they are great but if you walk in and let them they will screw you over so bad I had car leave there after a took it in for over heating and paid over $800 for it to be fixed and that night in temps below zero it over heated and cracked my head this suv is still sitting in my front yard minus the cracked head but I maid the mistake of taking it to Cobies auto on 25th and Dutton and they were only supposed to remove a piece of metal out of a bolt hole and that was stuck. I didn't have the equipment to do that with or I'd done it myself. I called Jonny and the mechanic who works there is Bobby is a crack/meth head we all cut Bobby some slack but no never go to Cobies auto repair if Bobby or Jonny are still working there. I payed for it because Jonny my own uncle said yes nephew it's all done well I have my dad pay for it and I paid to have it towed back home to complete it and it was still in there he charged me and Bobby the mechanic lied or whatever didn't do what I paid for I give my uncle another chance and bring him a truck I bought and Bobby half a**Ed again and charged me over $900 so I have made solutions automotive because at least my buddy Mark is a certified mechanic and can rebuild one bad ass transmission has 50yrs certified experience!!!
I went to this shop because my air was blowing hot air. They put a compressor on and said it need a few other small things. They charge my card 627.98 and never fix the problem of the vehicle blowing hot air. No one ever call but then said you need to have your computer flashed by a key repair place and sent me off with nothing. I then took it to advance auto care on Towne street in Waco and they actually took the time to find the problem and it was never the compressor. Renschlers may do someone right but it definitely was not me. I was working with a guy name Lynn. How disappointing!
