I recently moved to Hewitt/Waco area. I do my best to try and recycle instead of throwing away things. Our area only has recycle pick up twice a month. I have been to this recycling center a couple of times and it is great. Easy process, they help you sort your items to the proper bins. They also take electronics, used engine oil, and canola oil
We moved from Austin where recycling is a way of life to a rural town where there is no recycling. We collect all our recycling and drive an hour to Cobb; and they are always friendly, helpful with unloading and there’s plenty of room to park and maneuver around to deposit your recycling!
I am very grateful to the folks that help me with my recycling. I was surprised to learn that the styrofoam recycling has changed with what styrofoam products are acceptable now.
This was my first visit bringing my recyclables into Waco. -The Gentlemen working here were, are an absolute God Sent. -All of the Gentlemen helped me, and ensured that my various recyclables (glass, #2 plastics, cardboard) were placed in their proper areas, bins. -And when I asked them for advice on what's not allowed to be brought, such as plastics NOT rated a #2, they told me... -I left some home rated 1, 5, & 7. -Thank you good Sirs for your Knowledge and your Help. Happy Waco has this service since I live in the county where curbside recycling is not available. Thanks a million for letting me do my part for the environment.
We had moved to the area after living in a city in town that did complete recycling. We took all of our things that we had accumulated to Cobbs recycling and were told it was trash and they would not take it. Plastic is plastic it doesn’t matter if it’s a water bottle or a used cookie tub. It was disgusting how much waste we had to take to the garbage dump. these people are ignorant, or only interested in aluminum cans that they can make money from.
Super easy to find even with all of the construction work. I had a large bin of various glass jars that I needed to recycle, and it was a very quick and convenient process that took less than 3 minutes.
Service was quick and easy. My car was loaded, front to back and within a couple minutes, the staff unloaded my car and I was on my way. I took huge cardboard boxes and Styrofoam. They separate the items into appropriate bins
This place used to be amazing for the small time family recycler. My cleaned assorted materials were not accepted after driving an hour to bring them because they were not sorted with like items. They offered to trash my recycling rather than have the 6 workers standing there to separate it. Very disappointing!!!
My 62 year old 4’10 wife took our 52” tv there for recycling and no one helped her unload it. I can’t even think what to say about that kind of worthless person. She did it during her lunch so I loaded it in the morning and wasn’t there to take it out. Thanks for nothing.
I recycle dark and clear glass about four times a year. I am thankful that Waco provides this service. The staff is always helpful and friendly. It's funny and comforting to know that my glass is the same as everyone else's: beer bottles and jalapeno jars.
Everyone at the Cobbs recycling is so , kind, courteous, and helpful. I enjoy a quick visit while unloading. They are a super group of employees. I look forward to my next trip.
Tried to bring some E-Waste in to recycle and it was refused because I couldn't prove residency. Apparently a drivers licence isn't proof enough. I'm sorry, but what is the priority here, maintaining the bureaucracy, or keeping E-Waste out of the landfill? Fail!
Dropped off my old rice cooker here so it was a sad day for me since i’ve had it since 2015! The people were really nice and they were willing to help unload your things and sort them out for you. I wish I know what they do with the old things to make something new!
The man there was very nice, helpful, and pleasant to talk to. Said he had family from Buffalo, NY. I feel bad they're out in that sun though. Will be back!
The people there are very helpful and nice. It's a good location and it's easy to drop off your recycling if you live outside of city limits to have it picked up, like me.
Handles all my recycling needs. I can take glass, electronics, appliances, and all other recyclables here. The staff have always been very accommodating and helpful in unloading large and heavy items. It's convenient location makes it easy to drop off recycling weekly so that I don't have bags of it stacking up between recycling pick-up weeks.
