After Wayne‘s passing this place went to the pits. when Wayne was alive, the price was really reasonable after his son and his wife took over. It fell apart real quick. I used to enjoy going there but when they started paying four cents 4 1/2 cents when everybody else is paying 7,8 9 or 10.
I would not waste my time to go there only time I did go was when I had very little stuff on my trailer. Sweeney Scrap Metal is still the best place to go. I don’t know about this new place that took over WD but I’ll stop and check it out if I don’t like their prices.. I will keep on driving. Sweeney Bound here I come. Wish I could leave a -5 star review. Husband took junk and around 39-40lb of copper. They gave him $18 for copper. Still there in parking lot He went back for copper and questioned them they kept his copper but also is $18.

Terrible experience and waste of time. $12.50 total for 80/lb insulated copper. Smoking crack. When asked why the price is that way he told because it is not stripped? I’ve been an electrician for 5 years and every time I get a little scrap passed my way and have turned it in the experience was never like this. Thanks for the kick in the balls thanks for the waste of time.
The rudest person I've ecountered in all of my visited places in Matagorda County. My friend and I both asked a question and wasn't even acknowledged we were standing there at all. Walked past me like I was non-existent. Looked drunk and mad at the world and cussing like a old sailor, while passing us by. Not proper at all in any meaning of business practice. I thought this was a place of public business matters. Boy was we both wrong.🤷 No recommend unless your a glutton for rude unacceptable behaviour and mistreatment by whoever blew us off💨😱
