This was my second time coming to Birdsong. My first time I came in to have them replace my headlights and level them. I made an appointment and brought it in and they had it ready to be picked up in two hours. Pretty good for having other customers in front of me I feel.
The latest one was 10/23/25 and I had them replace the front axle brakes. Jason, who I called before I came in, was really helpful and told me a ballpark price I could expect and told me to come in, in the morning to have it done quickly. I brought it in and once they got to it, they inspected my car and the brakes. They informed me of other issues I was not aware of and printed me out a page of repairs that they felt I needed to do for my vehicle. I really appreciated this as it allows me to plan for the repairs and know the ones that need to be done sooner.
Brad invited me to come look at my car in their bay, and he, Jason, and and the mechanic working on my car helped explain everything they saw and, recommended what services I needed for my brakes. As I'm not a mechanic It really helped know what needed to be fixed and why. I think if they're willing to bring you in the bay and show you things, it shows that they aren't trying to hide anything and they stand behind their work.
They started their work and when the brakes were fixed, the price they quoted me, was the price I paid. No surprises, or instances of 'Oh well, once we got under there, we saw you probably needed this. So we did it.' There are some things I need to do, but they ask to get permission before they do anything.
In summary, I would recommend these people to anyone. Honest, nice and helpful. They don't shame you for not wanting to do a service if you're doing things on a budget. If you haven't been I would recommend trying them out.
Went to Birdsong to purchase my daily tires for the upcoming winter season. I brought in my own set of wheels and got my car back within the day! Extra points to Derek for adding in the weights to balance the wheel behind the spokes so they aren’t easily seen. These tiny touches go the long way!
They fixed everything that I told them what was wrong with my 2002 mustang gt. Is a little pricey but I'm happy everything was done professionally. Thanks birdsong automotive.
Just had my daughter’s (Tech Student) Murano get some much needed service completed here. Couldn’t be more pleased with the communication, costs, and timeliness of the repairs.
Took vehicle there on a Thursday, wasn't seen till Monday, and diagnosed Tuesday morning. Had this been a correct diagnosis, that would have been okay. However, they claimed my CV axle (not even two years old btw) was the reason for a rotational squeak issue I was having because it was torn and leaking grease ...wrong. Hired a private mechanic to look, after a quick wipe down with a rag, both CV axles perfect. Issue was a bent backing plate on brakes, figured out and fixed in under an hour. The shop is the same as any other big name shop, local or corporate. Come up with fake issues to charge you more and take your money. Do not recommend.

Had an alignment done here. Couldn’t get it right until I brought it here. Scheduled and completed in a timely and reasonable manner. Alignment is now spot on! Highly recommend.
I have an older vehicle that I love to drive, have taken very good care of, and it's great for pulling our camping trailer.
I've taken it to Birdsong many times for routine replacement of parts, repair of a bad oil leak, and some wiring problems. When they once misdiagnosed an issue, they were very quick to make it right. They always treated me with respect and are good for their word. I believe they hire only the best mechanics. Shout out to my service advisor Cade that has always been very patient with me.
These guys are good, really good. They fixed the mess-ups from another front end alignment place. I felt like they went the extra mile and showed me the problem parts that were put in by the other guys. They didn't talk bad or anything they were very professional they just show me what the problem was and fixed it.
Birdsong has always treated my fiance and i right. They are trustworthy, communicate well, and have great customer service. They have honnest pricing. Last time I brought my truck in the quoted me an initial price, and called me back before pickup to let me know they didn't have to do as much labor as they thought and brought the price down by $400. We will continue to use birdsong's services for our vehicles.

Birdsong has made a customer of me for life! My tire was leaky and I had them patch it, when it started leaking again months later I brought it back to them and rather than another patch, they replaced my tire free of charge. Jim took great care of us! I am glad to have found a shop that has integrity and stands behind their work!

to my 2017 f150 for a electronic rack and pinion replacement, they handled all after market warranty communications and i was back and running in 4 days . great turn around time and truck runs perfectly. thanks gentlemen.
I am so thankful that Jason was able to help me. I was on my way to a VA appointment (and it takes MONTHS to get one) when my SUV lost power steering. About two weeks before, an incident occurred to where it felt like my transmission may have slipped. So in my mind I thought I was about to experience the worst crap of a lifetime. But that wasn’t the case. First, they didn’t charge for the time my car was in their lot— and it was the week of the 4th of July. And they really took the time they needed to figure out what the problem was because they were getting a lot of error codes. And they found that the alternator— which is had replaced elsewhere a month prior— was having a voltage failure. It was having spikes and then go down, and it was impacting different systems of the car. Which would explain the power steering “going out” and the transmission “problem”. Jason explained everything, and I really appreciated it. They replaced the defective alternator— which unfortunately I am not getting a refund for from the place that originally put it in, to the tune of $552–and I have my SUV back! ALL for under $1100… I was SO relieved. And I don’t know of ANYONE that could have towed, spent so much time doing such an in-depth diagnostic, plus the Honda alternator and labor, for this amount. It was MORE than reasonable. This place is just awesome. And I’ll be bringing both my car and my daughter’s car in for oil changes soon, and any other things that may come up in the future. Having a great mechanic shop/garage is extremely important to my family. And now we know that we don’t have to worry about that anymore, because we now have one.
Totally a waste of time and money. They absolutely didn't listen to my concern, chased after a "problem" that I never had and came up with a "cure" that was not only expensive but would only maybe fix the problem.
I took it to another shop, they listened to my problem and rapidly diagnosed it and fixed it quickly and reasonably.
took our car there trying to see what's wrong with it. before we took it to a different mechanic and they just lied to me. birdsong kept it for several days couldn't figure it out but didn't charge me anything it was a very complex problem. so nice about it great people! :)
We used to go somewhere else for our tires, but Birdsong now has our business for tires and oil changes. We don't like being pressured to pay for things we don't really need, and Birdsong doesn't do that. Go on Saturday, if you're a teacher, and you'll get a discount on your oil change!
Quick & thorough oil change. I had them check the alignment on my car while I was in and got that fixed, too. The whole process lasted about as long as the two cups of coffee I drank in the waiting room. Thanks!
I had my oil changed this morning and it was the most pleasant oil change I’ve ever had! Gary helped me out. Gary and the team were so kind and friendly. The shop is very clean, and the buildings are pretty to look at.
After 3 bad experiences with frontend alignments at another place in Lubbock, Birdsong was recommended to me and I couldn't be more pleased. My Jeep is FINALLY done correctly. They were also VERY accommodating while I waited. Thank you guys Soo much

Strongly recommend anybody to use these guys. Great customer service skills. They quickly take care you and are quick at getting the job done. Their prices are the best too.. not only have I saved money going to birdsong automotive but I have gotten a great experience every time as well.
