Used Gonzales Wrecker a couple times this week. Had a blowout 30 miles outside of town and they got there quickly. Professional, friendly, and helpful.
I had to get my son's truck towed at a moment notice. I called Gonzales Wrecker and they took care of it immediately for us. Very professional, friendly and quick! They made a stressful situation so much easier for us. And they are priced just right as well! If you every need help with towing...I highly recommend these folks! They will take care of you!!
My daughter had a blowout on I27 near 1585 as she was driving to school at 7:30am. It took me a few minutes to get to her, but by 7:45, I'd called AND left messages with 5 different tow companies. Gonzales Wrecker Service not only responded immediately, but they were the ONLY one to respond! Even as I write this review 4 weeks later... I NEVER heard back from any of the others. I don't remember the drivers name, but he and the dispatcher were kind and courteous. They were there and had the car loaded by 8:15am, and sitting in my driveway by 8:30am. Truly excellent service, 10 out 10, would recommend!

Quoted me $85 to go 3.8 miles. Ok cool but then when the location changed to literally right across the street (from 3504 50th St to 3425 50th St Firestone) I asked if the rate would change. I didn’t expect free service considering they did have to come out but the rate should be different. The driver advised me it would be the same rate for anything within the loop. Yet, the original destination was outside the loop. So if that’s the case shouldn’t the rate be lower? I called the office to confirm and was told that’s the rate for anything within Lubbock not necessarily just inside the loop. So, okay, contradicting information. And yeah you’ll pay at least $85 even if it’s across the street. Arrows in pic showing where I was and where it ended up.
I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with A&J Towing and Transporting. When I was in an accident in Lubbock, the on-scene police officers had my vehicle towed to Lubbock Wrecker Service (LWS), but my insurance company (USAA) needed the vehicle at Gerber Collision so USAA attempted to have it towed using A&J Towing. Between LWS arguing about money and A&J’s rude customer service my experience has been far from satisfactory.
Firstly, the communication is completely unacceptable. I haven’t received any updates and I am constantly having to track down people who want to their job. The inability to provide reliable service with basic common courtesy is deplorable. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory.
Secondly, the customer service was terrible. The A&J Towing dispatcher (claimed to be Owner) was rude and unhelpful when I called to inquire about the delay. Instead of providing an update or apology, I was met with impatience and a lack of concern for my predicament. She only wanted to blame me.
To top it all off, the price charged by LWS to simply tow (like 10 miles) the vehicle was exorbitant ($400) and far above the reasonable local expectation. This kind of price-gouging is unethical and left a very sour taste in my mouth.
Overall, my experience with Lubbock Wrecker Services and A&J Towing have been horrendous. Slow response time, poor customer service, careless handling of my vehicle, and outrageous pricing are just a few of the reasons why I will never use their services again. I highly advise others to look elsewhere for towing and transport needs.
It’s unfathomable that LWS would risk their companies’ customer’s satisfaction over a measly $400 dollars, especially when a reputable insurance company is footing the bill, but here we are.
Additionally, A&J Towing and Transporting’s customer service is horrendous. If the representative was the owner then enough said.
terrible customer service, the lady i spoke to on the phone lied about the hours and still ended up having to send a truck thru roadside. Whole time the lady was very disrespectful after 4 hours waiting she was declining my calls and then started yelling and then canceled my tow. DO NOT RECOMMEND
Everyone was very nice the entire time, from the person who answered my call to the towtruck driver. I was very nervous the entire time because I've never had to get my car towed before, but everyone made me feel like my car was being taken care of the entire time.
A driver showed up at McDonald’s on 34th some pple need to Learn how to drive esp if ur driving for a company, cutting me off in line at 1am almost hit my car because I ddnt want to look like a Karen I ddnt say anything But AJS u need to show your drivers (he is a bald headed guy with a kid in the passenger )how to be more courteous of driving with a big truck like that and thinking he cut just cut line and cut pple off in line for food embarrassing then come to find out he lied to the cashier giving out food wow !!! He told that lady at McDonald’s no one ever took his order well duh u never were in line jerk.
Im in Houston called for my daughter that’s going to Texas Tech.Her car wouldn’t start so had to have it towed.

Company took the tow through insurance and then made it seem like the driver had a family emergency, and proceeded to try and take the vehicle an hour in the other direction right after pick up instead of dropping the vehicle to look for another towing company, had driver turn around and drop the car back off at pickup, talked to the driver and he said he was just tired, called the company back to ask about why the vehicle was taking away from pick up was yelled at by the owner of the company. Disrespectful service.
My grandma called Cantù towing at 2 in the afternoon and they left us stranded there no call,no notice until 9 at night but when we called A&J towing they came and helped us within the same hour. They didn’t just leave us there without no info for hours they were persistent and very helpful.
I'm forever thankful for using A & J Towing service.. Even though I'm now living in odessa I can call and use their services for my family!! They have came to my daughter's to change out a tire asap.. They have towed another vehicle to a mechanic shop as well showed up asap, very friendly, respectful and prices are very reasonable! Call for any of Towing services!!
Called them at the last minute ( another service canceled 10 minutes before the scheduled job) they sent someone right out. Chris did a great job and got it done quick. Definitely recommend A&J Towing
The driver came and picked up an antique van and didn’t do a safety check before he took off with the van, and the wheel fell off in transit. The owner starts yelling at me like I did something wrong.
First off you guys to do a safety check before you leave the property. Secondly, the dude was very unprofessional and wanted to fight me.
If I could give you zero stars, I would negative would be even better. Totally unprofessional, inexperienced, and rude. Would never use them again and would advise anyone else not to.
Having a blow out always sucks but A&J towing saved the damn day with how quickly they responded to calls and came out to change a flat, from dispatch to driver both ends were super communicative and kept me updated on when my car would be taken care of and showed up when they said they would. The driver who came to help me was as cooler than the other side of the pillow super nice and offered to bring me a drink since I had been sitting on the side of the road thank god I don’t drink alcohol I would have asked for patron but anywho. He Showed up had me back on the road in less than 5 minutes of getting there and offered extra help if I had trouble again and stated no matter how far I was he would pull up to help. I’m definitely grateful they were available as quickly as there were for a Friday afternoon. Good company good service great people definitely recommend A&J towing!
We were staying at a hotel in Lubbock and discovered we had a flat tire. We went through our roadside assistance with our car insurance company. We were worried because it was a Sunday afternoon and wasn't not sure who would be available to help us. A&J showed up about an hour later. The gentleman that helped us was super quick and efficient. Thank you for such a quick and efficient response!

I called at 6:30am to arrange a 9:30am tow. I told the dispatcher it’s a 16,000lb truck and I wanted to make sure they had a truck capable. She said their truck could handle over 20,000 and it’s no problem. I even sent pics of my truck while we were on the phone. 9:30 rolls around and no truck. When I call they said it was just a quote and the tow never got scheduled. I asked if they could go ahead and still get a truck to me, they said yes.. BUT.. now the price went from $190 to $490 because of the size of my truck.
I value quality customer service and honesty. Not only did the trick not show up but they doubled the price. I believe “how you do anything, is how you do everything”. Use them at your own risk

Fastest tow I have ever experienced! Also cheapest I could find in Lubbock for long distance towing. Very professional and made my stressful situation a lot easier. David was extremely knowledgeable and arrived a little early, but was extremely patient until I got off work. Would highly recommend for any female stranded alone and in need of a tow, I felt safe and comfortable throughout the whole process. Owners should be very proud of their employee.
Great company. They were very pleasant to deal with. Our car was towed to our house safely, and they even backed it to the front of the driveway past 2 other vehicles. I received 2 status calls from the tow truck drivers. The weather was bad (snow and ice), but the service was excellent despite the inclement weather. The price was reasonable as well. I definitely recommend A&J Towing!
