I have to add on to the many 5 star review. I spoke to the dispatcher, owner, and then the actual operator(Jimmy) who helped me with putting a non running truck onto a trailer for out of state transport. Jimmy was patient, and kind. Sounded like a good and honest people, and I appreciate them all much.
Excellent service. Our family broke down in Kenedy on our way to Corpus Christi late afternoon on a Saturday. They answered and were prompt and professional. We all didn’t fit in the cab and there was no Uber service in the area so they sent another driver to take us the 100 miles to the dealership to meet our car, all for a reasonable rate.
Driver was professional, no issues there. However, the owner/dispatch called him to another job with me in town and made him ask me if he could make a stop before dropping me off, unheard of! After waiting over an hour for the tow truck to show, from Floresville to Kenedy(30 min. drive) and for $450, nahhhhhhh, whoever it is can wait like I did. Again, not driver's fault, trying yo please the boss and keep customers happy is hard sometimes.
Juan from 181 Old Wrecker of Kenedy provided outstanding service towing my truck all the way from Kenedy to Austin. His professionalism, punctuality, and care for my vehicle were truly top-notch. He made a potentially stressful situation much easier with his expertise and friendly demeanor. Highly recommend Juan for any towing needs – a true 5-star experience!
Today, one of my units broke down in Whitsett, TX by I-37. After many calls trying to find a wrecker, a nice lady from Old 181 Wrecker Service answered right away and provided me with an affordable quote. Their driver, Juan, did an excellent job. I highly recommend this company for their prompt and reliable service.

After paying in full by credit card and waiting on the side of the road for nearly 3 hours, with several phone calls assuring me they were en route, to be notified they can't do it. Don't recommend of you don't have hours to wait.
I actually did not use the service but they were very polite and helpful and gave me a very good rate for a trailer transport that I ended up not needing but I would use them if I needed to
Nice an will meet fast but they try to lie an say getting speakers or radio or anything of value is "unbolting something from vehicle" don't let them lie to you your property is your property they just want to lie an say that so they can get the most $$ for your car. Kind of sad they try to profit off of someone that just lost there car an is hurt but that's the world we live in . P.s any other car lot will let you get speakers or anything that's not an actually part of the car like seats, wheels,body panels, etc.
This business was the only one on a Sunday that made themselves available for a 140+ mile haul. They arrived at the time promised which is great! Jimmy was so nice and knowledgeable. He got our car home with no issues. We had to pay the difference over 100 miles and they were very reasonable. Highly highly recommend!
I am very capable of changing my own tire, but it's just a pain in the butt to do in a truck, so when I had a flat, I called Old 181 Wrecker service. They were great! The driver that assisted me was professional, arrived in a timely manner as their operator said. I highly recommend Old 181 Wrecker Service.
This company was so helpful immediately after I got into a car wreck. Very quick, efficient, and truly care about their customers! After my wreck, I had no idea where my car went and no idea where the sheriffs brought my cat because I had been transferred to the hospital. Old 181 towing helped me to find my car and reunited me with my cat within the same day! They worked with me and my situation and were extremely patient throughout the whole process. I am so thankful for all the help and care they offered me with.
I’ve used 181 for both car tow and vehicle lock out. I’ve met both Peter and Juan, and they were both professional, on time when dispatch said they would arrive, and very friendly!! I will always call Old 181, obviously, when I’m within their service area, when needing their services!! Easy to communicate with and reasonably priced!
