I spoke to the owner and he educated me on how the business works. Tow trucks companies do not raise prices (gouge) because the weather changes. The difficulty of the job has a lot to do with what they charge. My aunt's elderly neighbor had to pay over $500 for her towing services on Friday and we went and pitched in to give her her money back because she is on a fixed income. My apologies to Steel Towing for the baseless review. The owner was beyond professional when he called me. Given the circumstances he had a right to be upset but he handled it better than I did. When I'm wrong I'm wrong and I was wrong. By the sounds of it there's a possibility it wasn't even his company that did that job. My apologies to the owner and all his staff for my previous and uneducated review. Thank you for the phone call.
David and the rest of the crew from steel towing are amazing! They helped my boyfriend and i get unstuck from a muddy area. They were very patient and good at communicating. 10/10 experience
Sergio is a king amongst men who won't rip you off. Rare to find such a real one. David is helpful and will accommodate you no matter how difficult. Don't bother with anyone else in the area!

David is an angel!!! I happened to get stuck in mud and called multiple towing companies who were charging extremely high prices. However, David answered me on my first call, was very patient and kind while I ugly cried explaining my situation. I sent pictures to him of the help I needed. He immediately responded with an estimated time arrival. He was there in 15 min!!! And he guided me to help myself out and helped towing the car towards the end. He was more than affordable with what I could pay. His smile, kindness, and assurance was all sent from God and amazing daughter who made sure I got the help I needed.
We had a nasty blowout near Harlingen. The company was very responsive and helped us tremendously in towing the car to Houston. They were able to find us using Google coordinates. They were very careful in loading our car onto the truck.
I highly recommend Steel towing. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. I just wanted to say thank you for their help. It was a really bad day, and they made it a little easier for us. I know we paid for their service, which was very reasonable, but they went above and beyond by sending two tow vehicles so that one could deliver our truck to the dealership for it's necessary repairs, and and the other vehicle took our RV trailer to South Padre Island Texas for us. It was nice that David was familiar with the area, and I did not have to pay a bunch more money for a rental truck to get it there. You don't know how great it was to just relax for a couple of hours and let them do all the work and worries for us. Thanks again for everything!

I’m used to my local towing company, what I’m not used to is the superior service Steel Towing gave me. My car had to be towed from Raymondville to San Antonio for a repair on my sun roof, David(the owner) went above and beyond to make sure my car arrived DRY, and on time to San Antonio. He even assured me my car was in good hand, very professional company and highly recommend.
Hurricane hanna flooded our home and vehicles. Steel towing was able to tow both vehicles at once and gave us a great deal. Polite, professional, and quick responses....Good people! They towed each vehicle to different locations as well.

The gentleman arrived in a heart beat almost at midnight. Problem balls deep in the mud solved within 5 minutes under very unfavorable circumstances. My car was stuck in sandy mud next to an orchid thsnks to Wazes App incompetence of this geographical region. Gracias!

This guy is the best! My truck stalled on me in the sand on South Padre Island, and the other companies I talked to made it seem like it was either not worth their time to try and get me out, or that it was too risky. I was not stuck in the sand, just stalled. Steel towing was the only one to take the job, and he did it very well! Super professional and a really cool dude. I highly recommend this company.
