This is a great local hangout. Wonderful people. If you just want to sit and have a few drinks and a nice dive bar, this is the place to go. They also have karaoke.
Went for last hour or so of Saturday night a place was PACKED. Pretty hidden little spot but easy to find.
Drinks were cheap.
Had karaoke going on and everyone was having a good time. Definitely a dive bar I will be back to!

Only been here for drinks and pool. Would have rated more stars but they did not have the ingredients to serve an old fashioned which is a major no in my book. None the less, still a spot to be here, drink, chill crowd, and pool tables usually open...Edit.. 1 more star cause I keep coming back.. chil place. Recommend for those crownds looking for a good country-esk spot and crowd.
Best people & bar in Humble!! And to Maja, I'm so sorry to hear this kind of review! Bc that's not the Moonshine I know!! Everyone respects everyone there!! Maybe it was just an off day!! I've been goin there for 4 years now & it has really gotten me out of my shell! Maybe u should give it another try sometime!!! Let the good Times roll!!!!

Great staff free pool tables. Several games to play the drinks and roughly cheap. Amazing atmosphere and karaoke nights are fun. Steak is amazing their cook makes it great.
I had a blast played some pool and hung out with friends. It was good time. I would recommend anyone or any aged people to go there. They also have pool tournaments there...awesome. when I go this Friday night 9/20 I will get some pics.
It's the best service you will ever get in the Atascocita / Humble / Huffman area. Plus they have free pool, drinks are cheap, and it's just a great atmosphere.
Moonshine Hill Saloon?. A wonderful down to earth establishment?. I met so many great people on the night of my visit, the best part is Karaoke is Fridays through Sunday. Drinks are affordable. The owner is an amazing woman and I had the pleasure to meet her. Everyone was so friendly and kind with that hospitable manor. I recommend visiting and experiencing the environment for yourself. Great bar and great staff. The owner is very knowledgeable and she keeps the place feeling warm and inviting. Her staff can be nice and sassy but classy. The bar is kept clean and there is plenty of space to sit, even though it seems like a small bar.
I really like the place bc of the nice staff, the cheap drinks, and variety of entertainment games...but hate that the place is a giant hot box of a burning cigarette...which I've contributed to a few times... But I think of they improved the ventilation a bit, it would be a bit more easy on the nose
At one point, I was a regular at this bar. Would come in sometimes 2-3 times a week, and I never missed karaoke. Adam and his partner were friendly and cool...at the beginning.
Then the violence started. People were over-served, or, were allowed to drink when they came in already intoxicated. I witnessed THREE aggravated assaults, one involving a son trying to strike another patron, and ended up causing his own mother to be thrown from her barstool, rendering her unconscious. The bar managers and bartender did NOTHING. When I told Adam, the manager, I was going to call an ambulance for the woman, who still laid unconscious on the floor, Adam threw a stern look at me and said, in a rather menacing way, “Don’t you call the cops on my bar”.
Two other incidents happened over the next few months. Again, no cops, no ambulance, no one was kicked out of the bar!
Finally, the last straw came from the karaoke hostess...can’t remember her name...Rubenesque blond woman, with a thug, 6'3” drunken bully for a husband. I approached the manager of Moonshine Saloon, and asked if I could take over karaoke because I was dissatisfied with the current hostess. The manager decided to tell the hostess and her thug husband of this conversation. As a direct result of the managers lack of discretion, I found myself being choked in the bathroom, held in place by the hosts giant, toxic husband. He was allowed to go back to his seat, and continue to drink. Bartender didn’t call cops, managers didn’t kick him out.
Be VERY wary of this bar. Patrons are over-served, violence isn’t reported, food handling standards are NONEXISTENT (where’s your hand washing sink?), and above all, the management, Adam and his partner, refuse to protect their patrons, instead allowing a sort of Wild West approach to running this business.
I grew up on the Hill in the early 80s, this place is really a gold nugget set off the beaten path. It has been up dated and has a nice front porch to sit and enjoy a cold beer. And inside its welcoming with friendly bar girls,and has entertainment video games, pool tables and darts,the place is pretty cool now. I would take my friends here anytime.
Great place to go and relax bartenders are great owners are very welcoming I stop in when ever I am on that side of town if you are looking for that down home feeling place to hang out this surely where you need to be
Tried this little bar for the first and last time. Heard it was a historic bar. Drinks are very expensive. Horrible online karaoke and sounds terrible. The heavy set woman that runs the karaoke is unfriendly and is more concerned about puting on her own concert than letting the customers sing. Only one bartender working and she spent more time talking and smoking than working. Not recommended.
Great Burger night, steak night, as well finger foods. Service is great and the bartenders Rock! Stop in your sure to enjoy yourselves. This is a smoking establishment just fyi
I had the time of my life on Saturday night singing Karaoke with my girls and the place is newcomers friendly. My first time there but not my last. KJ Rayanna, you rock girl!!
