Untrustworthy scam artist. Beware and stay away from this place. When I originally called the owner was telling me to stay away from the other shops in the area, that was a lie. I had a transmission code on, and he told me I needed to replace my transmission. It took him over six weeks to complete that, for other shops that would take a few days. When I was pressing him to get my car back, he told me that he hadn’t replaced one in years and that his tech that did these left. Now I’m thousands of dollars out-of-pocket, my transmission is acting worse than it was before I dropped it off. Six months later still it’s still in his shop and he’s now telling me it’s an ECM problem, he should’ve told me that 5 1/2 months ago. No time back no money back. Don’t waste your time and money with someone untrustworthy.
I needed a new lead frame on my 2013 F150 and got the part quickly. Had it done in record time, and Rick worked with me on the price to make sure I was back on the road again!

I was so nervous about what it was going to cost me and their pricing was completely transparent. Their work was fair. They were fast and efficient, and they were really really nice people. I don’t know what I would have done without them. I would like to thank Rick Will and Scooby for helping me out. They fixed my AC and they went above and beyond for me and I am so grateful I highly recommend this garage for any AC transmission or anything else. Your car might need. These guys are legit.
The techs and the owner of this shop are both really knowledgable and honest. Had problems with my car that required the transmission to be dropped and they let me know that other problems with my car that they showed. Not once did they try to upcharge me and the price was great considering just how fast and efficient the techs were! I would absolutely recommend this place.
1st time at this shop and I have only positive remarks! I was in for a/c service and Will was very honest and informative! He diagnosed 2 issues and shopped around to find a way to save me $400!! I will definitely use this shop in the future!

I recently moved to the area, and needed an annual service on the transmission in my Dodge diesel. I usually have mechanic work done when I go visit my hometown, but knew I needed to find someone local.
I'm so glad I gave this shop a try! I walked in expecting to set an appointment, or come back another time, but they got me in right away and had it done in just a couple hours! I took my car here telling them that transmission was leaking and they replaced alternator and told me it was good, in less than a hour I couldn’t drive it . Back at the shop it’s now been 11 days for a gasket and side panel fix. Something that should take 3 hours. No communication unless u call and bother them.
Past done …… if they would have listened to me I wouldn’t have had to take it back or wait 11 days while they fit in other jobs while I’m walking .
Won’t be back after these , dosent make any since for a 3hour job to turn into 11 days.

I was doordashing one evening and when I got in my car after picking up an order, my check engine light came on. I pulled out onto the feeder and noticed that my car was not shifting. I took it to transmissions of Clear lake And these guys were amazing! They got me repaired in one day which was imperative because I drive everyday for a living. Rick went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly and in a very timely fashion. I highly recommend these guys to anyone that needs transmission work
Very honest and knowledgeable facility. They saved me from a possible accident with an issue the Ram Dealer failed to fix or diagnose. Will be using these guys in the future for sure and recommend them to others.
A/C went out over the weekend. Took my vehicle to them Monday Morning, had it back Monday Afternoon. Very professional and great customer service! Highly recommend them!
Took the NP-208 transfer case out of my '83 Chevy K20 to Rick at Transmissions of Clear Lake two years ago for a simple rebuild. Been running it hard for the past 24 months, it has never worked better. Absolutely no oil seep issues. Very knowledgeable shop, reasonable prices.
This company has just risen to the top of my list of favorite auto care providers. The characteristics Mike possesses that put him at the top of my list are my "must haves"; these being trustworthiness and skill. Anything else is just details. In a situation that I was convinced my car needed a $1500 fix, Mike ran some tests and determined all I needed was a $47 fix. I'm hanging on to this provider and sending all my friends there. He does transmission work as well.
Fast service, uses new parts, looked around to find parts at lower prices and passed savings onto me. Was less than half the price the dealer quoted for the work and gave me an honest answer to my car AC issue and did not try to sell me more work than required. Small shop so credit card may not be an option, know you may have to pay with cash or check.
Update-AC still works, drove home from there only later to discover my hood no longer closed properly and was missing multiple screws under the hood and had multiple things come loose and make noises. Discovered my car's in cabin airfilters and the car's palstic houseing for them were missing from the car and no where to be found. The part of the AC system that housed these items seems to be installed backwards or in a different position than before the work was performed.
