Pulled in and asked how long for a car inspection, I was told a couple of minutes- I was next.
After watching the workers stand around and shoot the bull- totally ignoring me for 10 minutes- I left! If you want good customer service, this is not it. Do not recommend. FYI- went across the street and out in less than 5 mins.
I came in after 1000 miles of driving. I'm Not from here. I have a miss fair cylinder 5. Less then 400 out the door for 1 coil pack on a E350. What got me on here. They polled every coil pack and cleaned them. They did MORE then was Expected.
These guys are top notch, it's hard to find good customer service these days and the surpassed to outstanding. Much better than any big shop around town
I've been taking my vehicles here for several years now. Always honest and up front about any issues you may be having with your car. Very patient too, as I've given them plenty of headaches trying to get my cars in for my appointments.
Highly recommend if you are looking for an honest mechanic shop.
Scam artist! Went in there for my lights and since the first visit I’ve had nothing but problems with my car that I never had before. They changed the bulbs wasn’t the issue, changed my alternator 2 times it wasn’t the issue and changed my air flow sensor ?? And that wasn’t the issue… the problem is that I had oil spillage that was causing shorts!! They never told me never changed my sensor just charged money! Never go here!
Came in earlier today to address a problem I had with my automobile, my lights weren't turning off and this would've caused excessive strain on my battery. Luis was the first person to greet me with a smile and offered his warm support and understanding about my situation. He was prompt to fix the issue all within 15 minutes and charged a nominal fee for the services rendered. I was thoroughly impressed with the whole experience and will always recommend this establishment in the future.
This place is amazing. I was having trouble with my highbeams and my signal, and I asked the man How much he would charge and he looked at it and the connector was loose so we pushed it back in and my turn signal and my highbeams worked. He did not charge me that’s a good man and that’s a good mechanic shop. Thank you so much are
Really helpful! My family was in Branson on vacation and when their car broke down they were really on a time crunch to get back home. Every shop we called was booked weeks out. Our car felt like Mary and Joseph: no room in the inn! But then we called A&L, who got our car diagnosed and repaired four times faster than the other shops would even look at our car. On top of that, they were helpful, kind and understanding. All for a hard-to-beat price. Sometimes the best abilities are availability and affordability!
Fantastic service! All I needed was to press a bearing into my hub. The owner not only accepted my job, but found a better quality bearing for a lot cheaper. Definitely coming back!
Took my car for an oil change. Service is amazing. Staff was super friendly and nice. My car was ready in no time. They also check my batter, starter and alternator and even put air on my tires.
Honest and hardworking team!! They did not give up trying to help me with my car troubles until the problem was solved. They explained everything to me in detail and had me in and out as quickly as possible. Highly recommend!!!!
The best mechanic shop in South Houston, all my cars are maintained and they solve my mechanical problems of the work vans, excellent customer service and a lot of professionalism. I highly recommend it.
This shop is hands down my favorite shop to get my mechanic work done. All of my cars are always in tip top shape due to them fixing everything that is needed every time I go to them. Everything that has been replaced never breaks down again only until it normally wears out and the prices are very affordable! Every one there is super nice and when you have a lot of questions they are patiently answering them!
Did the work I needed done at an affordable price. The quality was top notch. Luis and Adrian were very professional. Explained what needed to be done and why. Also said I could put off some things until later but eventually it would need to be fixed. Decided to get everything done there because of how they treated me.
A & L Automotive IS the place to go, for any car repairs or check ups. Very knowledgeable and professional, great costumer service. I was in and out in a timely manner. Definitely coming back!!!

Double Wow!! Going on 7 years with A & L and have been happier than years ago even. Multiple vehicles. Incredible integrity. Employees are warm, thoughtful, honest, helpful, and hard-working and that all starts at the top with Al and Lily. It is just wonderful to have an automotive shop you can trust 100% I've made the mistake of taking our Ford Flex a couple times to the Ford Dealership for specific work and been disappointed tremendously. If you can, be sure to take your vehicle to A & L. We have taken newer vehicles and older vehicles. Always a good experience.
Wow! We have been going here for over two years because we are a couple blocks away in El Lago and they were the most recommended local auto place. We have used them probably 7-8 times for different things with our 10-15 year old cars/SUV.
Every time they have been courteous and helpful. Rain or shine they have helped. They are always honest and straight forward. I truly trust them. That is so rare in most repair, sales, or auto-related businesses. They are rare.
Al is very knowledgeable and never seems overwhelmed despite the nature of the business. Lily at the front desk is always a delight.
Just today (8/23/2016) I had a battery that didn't work and they came right over and replaced in 10 minutes.

I’ve never written a review before, but the female receptionist was so rude to me that I decided to write a review. I went to A&L to have a noise looked at coming from my engine. Nothing that should take more than 5 minutes just to diagnose the issue. I don’t have an issue that they wouldn’t check my truck. I have an issue with the manner of which she treated me. I greeted her and was half way through my sentence asking if they could quickly check my truck before she rudely interrupted me with “Nope. We only do appointments. Comeback tomorrow with an appointment”. I can respect only doing appointments so I then asked if she knew if the mechanic shop down the street only did appointments, but once again she rudely interrupted me putting both her hands up snobbishly saying “I’m not gonna deal with you or the Seabrook Automotive(the other mechanic shop). Well I went to Seabrook Automotive and they were busy, but Carlos saw my truck in less than 5 minutes and informed me of the issue. I’d highly recommend Seabrook Automotive as they have increasingly better service. Thank you for reading.
Al had his mechanics install some Heavy Duty Shocks on my truck and the work took less than 2 hours compared to 2 days that the other shop quoted. The price for installation of these shocks were less than $200. The other place wanted 3 times that much and I couldn't be without my vehicle for 2 days. So I saved money and time by coming to A&L Auto. Thanks Folks. You guys are the best. You have me as a Lifetime Customer.
AL and LILLY are the owners and they are hands on when it comes to making sure the work is done correctly, professionally and courteously. The staff at A&L stay busy in the shop. At other auto shops I have been to you usually see the mechanics just standing around talking, not at A&L. Al stays busy with his staff out in the shop. Al never seems to sit down. The whole 3 hours I was at the shop Al was either on the phone or was underneath the hood of a vehicle staying involved with the active repairs in the shop. I wasn't busy that morning and I called Al 3 days before to set up an appt. for first thing in the morning, And when I arrive the A&L staff were waiting to take my car into the shop and get started. Al quoted me 5 hours to do the repairs and his team had the work done in 3 hours. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY REPAIRS.

I stopped going to the local dealership for repairs on my car after I someone directed me to A&L Auto on NASA Pkwy. I always call ahead and they get me in and out in a short amount of time. The prices are very fair and a whole lot less that what the dealership wanted. I am not a "CAR PERSON". Al is always happy to answer my car questions no matter how simple they are. Good people doing an Honest Job. Thank You Al and Lily for helping to keep me on the road.
Very disappointed! The woman on the phone, Lily, was extremely condescending and impatient. We simply wanted a list of the total cost she quoted and she laughed when we asked for her to explain it. Keep in mind she told us 2 different things when she was explaining it. When my husband took a second to think about it, she said "do you want to bring it in or not?! I have other customers waiting!" If I am about to fork out a $327, I want to know why and I want to be treated with respect. I'm sure we would have had a good experience if we brought them our business, but why would we go to a shop that didn't give us the time of day?!
