I took a trip with my kiddos and really needed a tow early on a sunday. I was worried the process would be difficult or time consuming, but I was very pleasantly surprised. From start to finish everyone was helpful and really nice. Best tow experience I've had, the driver was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend if you are in need of a tow!! Oh and Denise the dispatcher is a sweet heart she helped me with invoicing and the process was super easy!!
We can't thank Pedro enough for getting us out of the sand on Bolivar Beach. He arrived earlier than expected, was friendly, upbeat and efficient. He helped me keep a sense of humor in our self-created problem. Thank you for taking good care of us.

Very friendly people!!! The owners Pete and his wife miss.D are very nice and happy people to. He is a funny man and she is a very smart lady. Good company and well has far has his prices there good prices for the beach. Welcome to the beach I mean heck we pay $13.00 for a can of mosquito spray. It's a tow truck company not a limo service so to the haters about the prices and service the prices are fine.
After an unfortunate incident involving my truck, I had to call AAA to tow my vehicle. None of their affiliated tow companies were willing to come to Port
Bolivar so after waiting over six hours, AAA had A1 take the job.
Pedro from A1 arrived within an hour and knocked it out with no problem.
Excellent job! I would recommend them to everyone in Galveston.
On our way home we came across a family with 4 small kids stuck on the side of the road because their truck was stuck in the sand. They wouldn’t let us buy a strap. Everyone is always worried about their selves. Pure selfishness.
**PLEASE SHARE** Don’t let this happen to anyone else! Wow! I normally do not do this but it just so happens we have friends with a wrecker service and we are not dumb. So after the accident last night we asked A1 Wrecker to drop the truck at our house, the driver said, he couldn’t get the owner to answer the phone, to get us a price. That he had to keep the truck on the trailer until this morning. Just got off the phone with him this morning, he wants $1550.00 to drop it off at our house this morning! I will NEVER, EVER let them pick up a vehicle of mine again! That is straight price gauging! There is y’all’s warning guys! You have options!!
Not much to say about a wrecker place. If you're calling for a wrecker you're already having a bad day somehow. Just be thankful there is a wrecker place. A1 Wrecker is the only one on Bolivar Peninsula, so you don't have to wait forever for the other wrecker place to come across the ferry. "Yes, if you had to wait it could take a day, 6-8 hours, depending on the time of year." However, they will take care of you, super friendly, kinda expensive, but again it's the only wrecker company close unless you want to wait. And if you're stuck on the beach you can't wait or the tide will take your vehicle depending on where your stuck. The ocean is no joke. Just be safe and hopefully you won't have to call them. If you do, you're in good hands. Ask for Pete he owns the place and he'll probably be the one picking you up. Super nice guy!
Highly recommend. We had battery issues then found out it was alternator. So he came to give us a jump tried to tell us he thought the alternator is going out but we being hard headed lol so we drove off was hoping that the alternator would get us home, couple miles down the road it died while driving, called him back and he helped us charge battery he had to go get part in Winnie and helped us change it for very reasonable price. Thank you Pedro and friends!

They didnt have the key to the lock up yard and had to wait 2 hours. They finally had to cut the lock to release the car. Something happened to my son's money between police and them. Dont want to accuse or judge. Just saying its gone.
Initially quoted me $150 to get my truck un stuck. When the wrecker got there the man would only regard my boyfriend. After seeing it told me it could be $250 to get it out. Then the price went to $400...then $600. Tried for half an hour then left me stranded and still charged me $100. Never offered to take me somewhere to get help.
A1 Wrecker Services saved my life! I had just arrived at my son’s beach house and ended up halfway into a ditch in front of his house. Pedro and his team are absolutely awesome. He came over immediately while we waited for Geico to dispatch the job to him. I was very frazzled after having driven for hours. He sat with me until he received the approval from the insurance company and put my mind at ease. He was very careful towing my car so that the underlining of my car would not get totally scratched. I can not recommend them enough. Very professional and communicative.
This is by far the best towing company ever. Ive used many other towing companies and A1 blows the competition away with their top quality super friendly services. This is the only towing company I will ever use again.. Thanks Pete, your the best!!
Friday May 22nd, 2020 we parked on the sand at Bolivar Peninsular to spend the night. At 2.30am we realized that the tide was coming in, we tried to move the RV and it became stuck. We called A1 at 3.02am. We were told he would be there in 30minutes and he arrived in 30 minutes exactly. A1 managed to winch our 15,000lbs RV out from where it was stuck and we were up and running within 20 minutes. We beat the sea coming and A1 took great care not to damage the RV. Great job done by good people. And good value. Thank you A1!
The service on a late Sunday night was great. Slightly expensive but he told me ahead of time. They were more than helpful. My grandson was "smart" and drove out on the beach. They pulled him out and took the car to the car wash, at my request, but then did the washing underneath for him. They could probably tell that he did not know how to do a good job. Then they took him to get a bite to eat as he had missed a couple of meals by now. This was all after waiting 4 hours for the original wrecker service that was called and having the second wrecker service hang up on him after waiting 2 hours. I can finally breath again. Thank you.
Pedro was VERY nice. (Even when my husband called him Juan and we called him the wrong name the whole time.) He came to get us quickly and never complained about how long we had to wait for the only ferry running. He listened to exactly the way my husband wanted our Jeep and camper parked. I will recommend him to any of my friends who need a tow.

Very quick response. Rang once and he said he would come right away. Fortunately with a little praying our old RV managed to crawl out of the sand. I called him back to let him know and he was relieved to hear we were O.K. Thank you!!
$350 to pull truck out of ditch. Took all of 5 minutes to pull me out. Talked driver down to $250 but geez! Not towed any where just a 5 minute job at 12:00 pm on weekend. (Driver was very friendly) but prices are rediculous.
They had my boyfriends car towed to their location ignoring request to have it towed to our current residency so had to find a ride over there which is an hour away (huge inconvienece) considering they towed the only car this family has and when told he would be charged 200$ they instead price gouge and tell him it’s going to cost him 403$ ...they also stole all the quarters out of his car which was MY laundry money and completely unprofessional in my opinion I hope they sleep well at night making a living off the financial suffering they just caused me and my two babies DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
