I’ve loved visiting this store, but the prices are getting insanely out of hand. It’s become higher than other antique stores in the area for used, donated items. My last trip I saw a used, China made wood salad bowl for $85!!! And, while trying to digest that, I saw a worker come out from the back with an oil lamp and approach a lady behind the front counter. She told her she’d priced it for $25 and the lady informed her she’d “looked it up and it was worth over $200” so she scribbled a 1 before the $25 changing the price to $125. I was floored. This seems to be common practice as several weeks prior I returned to pick up a pitcher I’d seen for $20, only to find it had been repriced to $38. Like seriously?! Half the inventory at this store is priced so high that it’s preventing average community members from being able to purchase items. I’ve had numerous conversations with others who also feel they are being priced out of buying anything at this “thrift” store.
Our community does not support the exorbitant prices these ladies are asking. This store seems more worried about making as much money as possible as opposed to supporting the community with reasonably priced clothing and home goods.
