What clients say about Lowe's Auto Care in Needville (TX)

If I could leave zero stars I would! Go anywhere but this place, terrible service, very unprofessional and don’t get me started with the woman in the front, so rude! Definitely taking my buisness elsewhere and I suggest everyone do the same if you want better customer service.

Lowe's is such a good place. They have pulled me out of tight spots. They have always done us right. You can trust what they say, which is what I always really need - a mechanic I can trust.

It’s rare these days to find an auto repair shop that does an excellent job but doesn’t attempt to overcharge for labor and parts. Lowe’s is that rare place and the mechanics are excellent. I brought my Subaru into the shop after the local dealership claimed to have fixed it and only made the problem worse. The staff was fun loving and professional. They gave me a quote within two hrs and told me when the car would be ready. The car was ready exactly when they said it would be, they came in $600 under the estimate, and the car runs better than it did when it was new. They have a customer for life. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I have taken several vehicles for repair and Lowes has always been fast, fair and easy to work with. The best review I can this business is repeat business. I’ll continue to bring my vehicles here for any repairs and would highly recommend others to do the same. This is a great owner operated business.

Jason Lowe is not only one of the most talented auto technicians in the Houston area but is undoubtedly one of the most talented in the entire United States if not worldwide. I had a better experience with the quality of repairs than at my local dealer since I taken my vehicle to this auto repair facility. I highly recommend Lowe’s Auto Care to all my friends and family

Lowe's picked up my car for me when I went on vacation, and when I came back, it had no dunk dunk noise coming from the tire well when turning due to a busted spring (the gist :D) on my '22 Honda CRV. Honda wanted a mint to repair this, but Lowe's did it for a reasonable price a lady could afford on her own. Legit...good guys only here not trying to rake the non-mechanic general public over the coals. They have also been handling all my general maintenance now since that repair. Maintenance costs also better pricing than Honda. Honest, knowledgeable, and respectful to lady me always. What more can I say but I will forever be ditching the note and keeping it new w/ Lowe's. I don't just mean for the ladies to go here, but seriously if you are a lady, go here.

My uncle referred me to this shop. They are truly a Godsend. I am a full time college student, a senior computer science major, and my car needs a lot of work done. They do it for a fraction of the price of your commercial auto shops, and they are knowledgeable and honest! I wasn't charged an $80 fee to find out what's wrong like Christian Brothers. Jason knew exactly what was wrong. I feel like a lucky SOB! A good find!! I am telling everyone!! My father also brought his truck here the same day. After my car was done, Dad and I took off to hang out in Rosenberg. Jason called Dad and let him know the extent of the damage (from rats) eating everything under the hood of his new truck. Extensive damage. Jason sent us pictures. We feel so so lucky to not have to spend an arm and a leg. Try them out. You'll want to tell the entire world about this hidden gem. Thanks ?

I am new to the area and found myself in urgent need of a mechanic when my only vehicle wouldn’t start due to an electrical issue. After reviewing several shops, I decided to give Lowe's a try, hoping to find a reliable mechanic for years to come. The decision was based on their outstanding reviews—some even mentioned people driving all the way from Houston to Needville just to get their vehicles serviced. Unfortunately, my experience was far from the glowing reports I had read. My vehicle was at Lowe's for four weeks, and today I finally decided to have it towed to another shop. From the very beginning, I made it clear that I had just lost my job, no longer had access to a company vehicle, and desperately needed my car repaired as soon as possible to search for employment. Despite this, after two weeks of waiting with no updates, I stepped in and requested the mechanic’s phone number so I could send him potential solutions I had found on forums. The mechanic rarely responded to my messages and failed to provide regular updates. I repeatedly asked about the ECM (Engine Control Module) or ECU, suggesting it could be the issue, as the vehicle had stopped working after being jumped with crossed jumper wires. However, he insisted that more testing was needed to confirm whether the ECM was faulty. Three weeks into this ordeal, I expected that the necessary testing would have been completed, especially given the urgency of my situation. Frustrated, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I went to the shop, removed the ECM myself, and sent it to a specialized Suzuki Samurai repair service in California. Within three days, I received confirmation that the ECM was in perfect working order. I returned the ECM to the mechanic and gave him more than a full week to address the problem. However, no progress was made, so I ultimately arranged for a tow truck to move my vehicle to another shop. While the mechanic, Edgar, seemed like a nice and friendly person, those qualities unfortunately did not fix my vehicle. Every time I stopped by in person for updates, I was told, “I can’t just spend hours on your car; I work on it a little bit and then move on to other vehicles.” While I may not be an expert, it seems to me that a mechanic should dedicate focused time to fixing a vehicle until the job is done, rather than moving on to the next one. This entire experience has been incredibly costly for me. I’ve spent a significant amount of money on car rentals and tow fees—all while being unemployed. I’m sorry to say this, but my experience at this shop left me feeling neither valued nor respected, and I certainly didn’t feel like a priority. UPDATE: Vehicle: 1990 Suzuki Samurai. Lowe's didn't charge anything, as they were unable to find the issue. The new shop was able to find and fix the issue in just half a day. It turned out to be something very simple—the fusible link from the battery had a rusted butt connector. It was a cheap and easy fix, and within hours, my vehicle was running again and returned to me.

My husband and I have been bringing our vehicles to Lowe's for the past few years now and this will forever be our go-to! Jan is so sweet and is always very friendly and helpful! Jason really knows his stuff and always gets the work done quickly and efficiently and stands by his pricing! Excellent customer service, reasonable pricing, and honest work!

Staff takes time to listen and fully assess issues, making notes of any concerns or questions without criticism. They are able to prioritize items if need be, but consistently operate as if the customer's car was their own. Jason and his crew work diligently to return your vehicle promptly but communicate any delays or hold ups honestly. Clean waiting area, safe atmosphere, fair-upfront pricing, monitored area, and there is usually a candy dish at checkout to sweeten the deal! I am a repeat offender, I have been towed in, jumped off, and left for extensive work, inspected, worked on, oil changed, brakes done, and yet, my '03 Chevy truck is still running quite nicely. Great service, every time.

Edgar, Jason, Jenny and Jan are the best in the business. An unassuming hole-in-the-wall establishment packed with decades of experience, Lowe's Auto Care can do it all. I've trusted them with my Acura, Volvo, Hyundai Veloster N, and more, and no task was too big or too small for them. Their prices are substantially lower than what the dealers charge, and you get, in my opinion, better quality work and the satisfaction of knowing you're putting food on the table of small business owners rather than a CEO's vacation fund. Lowe's Auto Care is worth the drive, they use OEM parts and report to CARFAX, which is helpful for people like me that enjoy seeing their service history on their vehicle history report. Support small business, these folks deserve every bit of your business and more.

The exterior yard and the shop are both well-kept and spacious. If you're in Needville or close to it, the location is good! The office is like a cozy apartment, and Jenny at the front desk is an absolutely professional, qualified, friendly gem of a woman. The complimentary candy, coffee and fresh cold water are great. You can purchase locally made products as you wait, or watch the TV. The magazines on the table were inclusive, locally sourced and had good articles. The work that I had done came at a fair price, I thought, and the mechanic was polite and informative. It all was a little bit of a longer wait than I was hoping for, but it happens. I would recommend Lowe's to anyone who asked and will continue to have my vehicle serviced there ?
