I didn’t know this guy from Adam. I only saw it bcuz he was close. It’s not fancy with all of the overhead that goes with it. But he previously worked for a Chevy dealer and knows cars. My car had be leaking oil from somewhere I couldn’t find for months. One day it overheated due to a busted hose. I repaired it then it overheated with oil in the cooling system. I know cars, and was afraid that it was a cracked head, or head gasket, or even block. Had it for a few days and figured out it could’ve been the oil cooler. He always looks for the least expensive problem first. He changed every hose on the car and replaced the oil cooler. Flushed it out as best he could without a hi power flusher. Both oil leak and overheating ceased. And let’s just say the service was so great and price so reasonable that I gave him a tip. And if he can’t fix it he’ll just tell you. He’s one of the last of the good ones.
Mr Pepe is a very honest mechanic, I've used over the years and tells you exactly what you need and if he sees something else, he has mentioned to me. Hard to find a good caring mechanic that won't rip you off. Highly recommend, he helps people alot. Wish him many great years . I believe he's been here more than 30 35 years. Thanks
Pepe is honest and fair. His shop is not fancy, but don’t be discouraged. The guy is quick and knocked out the rear springs, rear shocks, and front shocks on my Ram 1500 in no time. Even told me about an incorrect bolt used on my caliper by another shop. And best of all, he had the replaced parts out for me to see when I picked up my truck and showed me what all was wrong.

Mr Pepe has been nothing but good to us! He’s come to our home to see what was wrong with our vehicle. He goes above and beyond. He’s done excellent and thorough work on our vehicle. Also gives good price and is honest! Take him some time to work on your vehicle because he basically works alone, but it’s left in good hands. Highly recommended.
Pepe Auto Repair, is missing the roof but don't let that stop you from giving him a ring still doing a great job. Mr Pepe the mechanic, is a really nice down to earth honest and helpful individual always helping . He has changed my radiator, my bearing and Ive never had any issues.
I went to the dealership and they said I needed a new suspension belt, spark plugs, air compressor, and a blower motor. They quoted me over 6k. I took it to Pepe repair shop and he checked all of those items and explained that all I actually NEEDED is a blower motor. I really appreciate his honesty and quick response time. He was also was very accommodating when it came to drop off and pick up times. I highly recommend his repair shop and I will be coming back.
My truck had a cracked radiator. I took it to Pepe's where he was able to give it a diagnosis and give me an fair price for parts and service. I called around to other places but got some run around. He only charged and worked on what needed to be done.I will be back. If you are looking for a mechanic that knows what he is doing and is fair about parts and labor go see him. HE IS WORTH YOUR TIME.
If I could give minus 0 then I would. I had my sister take my mother's car here upon recommendation from a friend. I was told that he was a honest guy. My mother's passenger side window had fallen off track on her 2008 Dodge Avenger. I was given two quotes 1 for a regulator and 1 for a motor. Now my mother had the motor replaced a few months back by someone else in a different city for $150 so we were expected something comparable in the quote for a regulator as Auto Parts store have them listed for around 85.
The initial quote given was $329 and I said she didn't want to pay that much. I was told that was for the whole window replacement including motor but if he ordered the regulator only the cost was $286. Not a big price difference but since you never know what the weather is going to be like in Houston we left the car there overnight to be repaired. So fast forward when my sister goes to pick up the car he has changed the price back to $329 and she called me. Pepe proceeded to tell me he was already losing money because the part cost was more than expected. I asked him how was that my issue? He proceeds to tell me that the price he quoted was for a Dodge Challenger not an Avenger. Wait ....what? Again you are the professional and how is this my fault. In order to get the car, I told my sister to go ahead and pay the higher quote.
If you are need of car repairs as a female do not go here!! They will definitely take advantage of you!!
Not even 5 minutes later he calls back and says he will honor the $286 price and he made a mistake. At this point I will never use his services again and nor recommend and since I don't live in the area I can at least write this review to give others a chance at making an informed decision.
This place is a little hard to find but definitely worth the effort. (It's close to FM521 at Tranmel-Fresno). Pepe, the owner is one truly smart mechanic and can fix most any brand of vehicle. He's done from simple oil changes to complete engine replacements for me over the years. He gets good prices on parts, typically from XL or OReilly, even dealership or salvage yard if appropriate. Besides his good knowledge and quality work, i find Pepe always reliable and trustworthy, i never had any "surprises" with pricing. BTW, don't worry about the guard dogs they are tied up during the day time hours.
Mechanic on duty, many mechanic shops have technicians who work on your car and like many will not speak to you the customer directly regarding the health of your car but at Pepes Auto Repair you are in direct contact with the mechanic from dropping the car off to checking out. What's great about Pepes Auto Repair they will repair foreign and domestic vehicles and the price is reasonable.
