We were towing a travel trailer on I-10 when our transmission began to overheat and slip. Salazar was the nearest qualified transmission shop and had by far the best reviews, so we had our tow vehicle and travel trailer towed 120 miles there, arriving about 10:30PM after our breakdown at 3:00PM. I had phoned Christian before arrival and he said he'd start configuring a rebuilt transmission for my GMC Yukon and have it ready to start the install first thing in the morning. He was intimately familiar with my particular transmission and had re-built units in stock. We camped out in our Trailer parked in front of his house all night while waiting for morning. When Christian arrived in the morning, he allowed us to plug in our trailer electrical and water connections so we'd be comfortable while waiting for the transmission to be replaced. We were hopeful that we'd be on our way by the end of the day, but Christian and his team had the old transmission out in 35 minutes and had the new, re-built transmission installed and checked out by 11:00 AM! His shop is meticulously clean, organized and efficiently run. Most impressive though is the friendly and professional service he provides. Christian learned the trade from his dad who now works with him at his shop and they both clearly are experts in diagnosing and repairing transmissions. Fair pricing, professional expertise and absolutely incredible and friendly customer service. Thanks Christian for turning our roadside disaster into a memorable experience.
Awesome customer service , great pricing compared to other shops. Walked me through the whole process of fixing my transmission on my 2010 ram 1500 big horn 5.7 hemi. Gave me the run down and history of the transmission. Now my truck is running better than before and I couldnt be more satisfied with the professionalism and skills of this shop. I wanna give a big shout out to Christian Salzar for taking the time to answer my questions and keeping me updated through the rebuild process on my transmission. Hands down probably the most professional and friendly shop I have ever been to. They had my transmission rebuilt in a day. Good price, extremely good service. If you have any kind of transmission issues and live in the odessa area, take your vehicle to them.

Highly recommend! My son's Nissan Altima was having transmission issues related to a CVT Judder code that was showing up on a scan tool. The CVT code is a pretty common issue with Nissan models between 2013-2016. I called various transmission shops in Midland/Odessa and most of the shops wouldn't take a look at the issue or were weeks behind. I called Salazar Transmission and they knew exactly what was wrong with my son's car. Christian provided me with various quote options for a new transmission, rebuilt or used transmission in a timely manner. Christian and Manny provided great service, communication and a fast turn around time with getting a new transmission installed in my son's car. Recently my spouse and I took his truck for transmission work. Right away they knew exactly what the problem was. Hand down fast and quick service in Odessa, TX. Every other place make appointments and get to u in a week or 2. Mr. Salazar is straight professional with state of the art mechanics shop in and out. Went and spoke with Manny, the owner, about my transmission issue on my vehicle. He infomed which was the best route to go and the reason to go that route. Scheduled my appointment for the next day and spoke with his son when I dropped it off, and he informed and showed what else he recommended and explained why it should be replaced. After work was completed, he showed and explained to me what caused the issue in the vehicle. Shop looked very clean and professional. Great and fast service. Reasonable price Highly recommend. I will be taking my other vehicles for service .
