Good parts, quick service and the yard is organized. The bad reviews are humorous because I've never had a problem with the owner. But I've worked at and done business with several salvage yards. The phone rings off the hook all day! All he needs to hear is, year, make, model, and part. He's simply trying to run a business, not a popularity contest.

I just wanted to say that i had a great experience, the staff was very helpful , i got a transmission for half what i was about to have to pay and it works flawlessly , highly recommend .

Worst service I've ever had anywhere. edit. Just wanted to reply since they did. Knew what i wanted and had it pre ordered and called again to make sure you had it. Came to get it got met with bad aditude and then told you didn't even have the engine even after I double checked with you and was told it was pulled. So maybe don't say i don't know what im looking for and say you don't know what your selling.

Only place I have trusted for years and will continue to trust to buy engines and transmissions. Has great prices! Great used parts! The owners are always nice and friendly. This business never disappoints!

You be good to them, they'll be good to you! He sold me a motor for my truck at a price no one could beat! And a radiator i couldnt get anywhere else at the price. Hes always slammed busy but if you can be patient with him, he'll do you right!

Citrons Used Auto Parts was amazing! They helped me and my daughter find exactly what we needed, and the staff was extremely polite and helpful the entire time. They went out of their way to make sure we got the right parts without any hassle. Great customer service and a smooth experience — we’ll definitely be back!

I was warned before I went that I wouldn’t be successful but you have to understand that this is the most organized salvage yard I have ever seen. The guy is not the warmest but he is the only one on the phones and he simply needs people to be quick and efficient so he can do his job; he has 4,800 pieces! I showed up with a shopping list for 3 pickups from 92-01 and I was able to source all the parts I needed. He let me go in and look and I’ll be back this week to gather the rest of what I need. Your best bet is to bring your part and show up in person, especially for interior parts. I also appreciate that he didn’t talk down to me for being a chick, he understood I knew what I needed and let me in to find it. Prices were very fair as well. This is NOT a Wrench-a-Part style place and it shows!

I was going through and reading all of these reviews. You either have five stars or you get a whole one. So people either really really like you or they really really don't. I totally relate. My personal experience here was all in all a blessing. Found what I needed. I had to wait for the part to be pulled and it went on into some days later when I came back for it I was just wanted my old part back. I had a little less money than his asking price. I thought it awesome and a blessing whenever he gave it to me for the money I had. This is an act of kindness from a man many others may say is rude and impolite. He just trying to get people in and out because it's a very busy place and he wants things to run smoothly maybe people shouldn't take things so personally... People are the way they are for a reason because People are damaged with that in mind remember you're at a salvage yard. You did not call or walk into a five-star motel,Nor have you come to wine and dine So toughen up people!! yes there's many of other junkyards but this one is by far my favorite he most likely has exactly what you need . Just get in, wait until he calls you, don't hold up the line know what you want and how to ask for it..DONE! Thank you very much for your service. Who cares friendly or not we're not buddies, I believe you're doing a great job!!!!

Yeah, phone customer service is non existent basically. Decided to give this place a 3rd try, every time I try to find a way to get his way of running

-just call out the part you need and vehicle year make model
I tried to not waste his time because it's not a junk yard, which is why his yard looks so organized. And I'm sure he gets many calls that don't lead to a sale. But oof... Little more patience might lead to more sales. But it's just my opinion. Which owner or manager may not give a crap about it. Which makes sense. We are nobody to the place.Oct 13, 2025 -

This is one of the best auto parts store I've been to these people are very professional ,and quick , there organized and know their parts . They sold my daughter a motor and it was good . She needed s starter and right away pulled it for her . I highly recommend this place

Going into any auto parts establishment as a woman can be really intimidating, however, the man that helped me find the rim to my car made sure that I got fast and excellent service without the intimidation. He was very attentive and professional. He's also a dog lover, like myself. :) Highly recommend this place! Five stars all around.

Learned my lesson with this place the hard way. Needed an old truck seat, no help from any employees. Used my own tools to take it out, carry it to the front in 98° heat only to have the man tell me it's $20 more than what he said before I spent 1 hour finding/unscrewing/lugging it to the counter.There was also an employee on his cellphone sitting on a forklift watching me the entire time I firmly believe the attitude I got , no help , and "sudden" price increase was due to the fact that I am a proud Hispanic Man.

Front people are always nice to me. As long as you are polite to them its great. Not many yards that ive been to allow you to walk the yard and get your parts. I purchased a bumper that ended up having bad damage (my fault for not seeing it first before paying) He let me swap the money I used for the bumper to get a matching wheel and tire for my yukon. Went today to get a radiator for my buddys work truck and got a small interior peice for my yukon. He gave me the part since it was so small.

Good prices, As a business owner myself, I understand how the negative reviews said staff was dismissive and came off rude. Maybe a customer service training for all staff would be beneficial especially when dealing with different ethnicities.

I only needed a small part for my antenna. It was a little rubber boot. On the way out he said I could just have it. Extremely nice guy and excellent customer service. I’ve been to a lot of salvage yards and this guy is by far the most organized and clean. If you don’t believe me just shop around in Odessa at salvage yards and you’ll see what I mean.

I have had a terrible experience at this place. I came here for a part for my car, but the man, when he saw that I was a woman and saw me talking with my daughter, thought I didn't speak English and without even asking me if he could help me, he said, "I don't speak English," but that wasn't a problem for me. I went to place my order and he didn't let me finish talking and said, "No, there's no, there's no, without even listening to what I needed. If you are going to have someone who works with customers in this place, it's better that you think carefully about who you put in charge of selling because here we are honest, hard-working people who are looking for something we need to get it for a better price and you shouldn't treat anyone like that. That man is garbage. don't come to this place

Man citron never fail’s we’ve bought our 4th engine from here for a 2010 Chrysler 300 motor fired off the first try me and my father are always going back. Owner and staff are really awesome and super super helpful on helping us finding parts that we need ever since I got my motor from my Tahoe I’ve been recommending this place to everyone will be going back to do more business here shortly thank you to everyone at citron and a big thank you to the owner for always giving us good deals and good parts

The most racist employees I’m from Lubbock tx drove Odessa to buy some parts from here I had called ahead of time once I got there We were told to leave the manager had appointment with the dentist but the costumer never left instead .They were turning down every Hispanic costumer and so I decided to call them back and said how could they help me when I tried to tell them they hung up. So my finance called them and they told her she sounded Mexican she is Caucasian only speaks English. the employees are inside the building waiting for minorities so they can turn them down there reason for them is no longer a dr visit but they no longer have the part. This happened for a good 20 minutes. waiting long enough to know what it’s going on they will not serve minorties these are the employees vehicles as they try to ruin this man’s business..

Messed with the wrong person this time! Needed a wiring harness for a 2007 Cadillac Escalade and found one at Citron. The mechanic wired the money and then Mark said he would send it UPS. After a few weeks I said I will go get it, driving from Dallas to Odessa to pick it up. Had I the read the reviews I wouldn't have wasted my time, but was desperate to get this part. Mark had said he put it back in inventory and sent one of his workers to get it, I made the mistake or not looking at it to see if it matched the pictures. Paid him $300 in cash and headed back to Dallas. My mechanic saw it and said this isn't the right one. Called Mark as soon as I was back in the mechanic shop in Dallas and sent the pictures of the one he sold me and the one he had photographed for the mechanic. Called this morning and he said I had switched them and put an old broken one in the bag trying to say he sent the right one and I was lying. Guess what? Its getting fingerprinted today for his and his workers prints!! And I am filing a theft complaint on Citron Used Auto Parts. Maybe we can stop this from happening to others. I encourage any of you that have been ripped off by Mark Citron and Citron Used Auto Parts to follow suit in filing. First 2 photos are what Mark sent to the mechanic, last 2 are what he sent me back to Dallas with as the "correct part"
Edited to reply to Mark: I didn't share that I had bought any wiring harness except the one I was buying from you. Because I didn't buy any others, I have the metadata from the images to show where they were taken. If you read the reviews of your business you will see that I am not the only one who has received bad service from you and your company. Your rude comments you make to people that post the truth about your business really show your true colors. Lastly why would I drive 12 hours round trip to ( in your words ) Lie and cheat you out of a car part?Feb 05, 2025
