This was supposed to be a good review however, after this last load disappointed. We go quite a bit but I’m not sure if they have someone new in the claw but they sure need more practice. They ended up breaking 4 boards on the trailer. Puts new meaning to enter at your own risk.
We Love 156 Metal Recycling!!! We take stuff up there at least once a year. Everyone there is so nice and friendly. The Customer service is Awesome. They make the metal recycling process smooth and easy up there. Highly reccomend 156 Metal Recycling in Krum.
Only come here if your scrap is worth more than your vehicle. Because they will mess up your vehicle. Everyone I know thats scraped here has body damage. Its the lift drivers first day... everyday.
I wanted to inform you that I have dash cam footage of one of your CDL drivers operating Truck 656 in a dangerous manner at the intersection of George Bush and Rowlett Road. The behavior was concerning enough that I’ve already submitted the video to TX DOT.

This place tried to buy NY $400 dollars worth of copper for $32 dallars.when I refused to except his cut throat price he told me not to bring anything else because he didn't want to buy scrapp from me anymore.
If all you have is Tin then they are the place to go, especially on a Saturday. Save your copper, aluminum, etc until Monday-Friday and head to Denton to scrap those. The prices just are not competitive unless your taking tin.

Pulled up on the scales at 4:31pm 1 minute after closing time. And it was total disappointment, as this business turned us down. NEGATIVE--- A BIG NO GO!! Was sent home empty handed. Im disgusted with this recycling yard's Incompetent management and by far worst customer service to start the new year. The silly thing is I've pulled up here before at 4:32pm and wasn't turned away, go figure?
Quoted one price ,then changes,on scrap tin , then had the odacty tried to pay me 8cent for For aluminum then I called her out on it and then she went to 35 cents a pound and every other offers almost 2 or 3 times . Beware 911.
It's been a while since I was here last. They've made some improvements. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is great. You don't have to worry with construction or a lot of traffic lights. Get in and out without the fuss.
Update: they have the same great service but make sure you have a valid form of ID. They will no longer accept expired IDs.
I needed to get rid of small iron from the top rail pipe fence we had built. Our favorite recycle place is in Plano but that'd be dumb. Since I was on my way to gainsville that day anyway from northern Denton, I called this place and one in southern Denton (just to verify going rates). From start to finish, the staff was very friendly, helpful, quick, and paid the same fair price. I will definitely use them again as this will probably become our new favorite recycle center.
First time here. The service was very fast, efficient, and friendly. The guys unloaded my truck and got me paid in fewer than 10 minutes. Only reason they don't get 5 stars is because I thought their battery price was a bit low. $0.18 /lb. I was expecting more like $0.22. Copper #2 however was very competitive at $1.92/lb. I'll certainly be back.
