The items are weighed then the employee goes behind a wall and brings back a receipt with a severly underweighed read-out so no, you do not see the whole process beginning to end
The woman who runs the scales (in1st window) is AWESOME! She's never met a stranger. She's so helpful, friendly, polite and if she can't help, she knows exactly who can. The yard is set up so customers can see exactly where they need to go and easily get back on scales or to the next area to weigh and drop. Kip runs the "everything other than short iron and metal" side. He can be a little tough but he keeps the lines down so it's rare you ever wait more than a couple minutes at any one of his 4 scale lines. They pay better than others and their honest. They will also sell back anything you think you need from there with very little mark up. I've been going here for a few years now and haven't found any better than this one
If I could give them less than a 1, I would they are crooks! Took part of an exhaust system up there and they gave me stainless steel price, went a week later to take the other half up there and they just gave me tin weight for the other half of the same exhaust! But they've been ripping me off here and there this time I have proof of it! Plus the guys act like they don't want to be there they're rude and mean and I'm going to quit going there!
If I could give them less than one star I most definitely would this place is very unprofessional and a complete disappointment. After finally figuring out where to go on my own because there's no sort of directions or anyone offering to assist I go to the small scale where a very unhappy grumpy disgruntled old Japanese dude who acted like he really did not at all want to be there doing his job I get the ticket then drive back around to the office go in there and the woman is like no I can't take this ID Which is my Choctaw Nation Tribal identification card and she says go get someone else who can do it for you I tell her I don't know anyone in the area I don't have any other ID and so she tells me to go back around to the skills and ask that guy if he will trade it in for me I was like ummmm okay? So that's what I did and the guy says I'll give you $75 for your ticket which was $5 less that I would have been getting and yes $5 is only $5 but I shouldn't have to pay because they aren't knowledgeable on what a tribal identification card actually is and that it is a valid government issued ID. I declined the offer and I say okay I guess you're just have to give me the copper back because I don't really have any other options so after arguing with me and insulting my weight he stops off to the little container thing in the back to jump in there and get out my copper and I said I apologize but don't be mad at me be mad at it the woman in the office she's the one that wouldn't take my ID so I left immediately went to another scrap yard where now I only have barely 23 lb of copper when before I had close to 25. Just because I wouldn't take the $5 cut the guy was offering me on the deal he decides to take it upon himself to give me no other choice but to get screwed out of money by him so I ended up having to go back over there to confront him about it and asked to speak with a manager which I never got to ask it the front desk and over there because she told me that he would be at the small scale but he wasn't save yourself the hassle of dealing with these Crooks there's plenty of other scrap yards to go to
this place i when to alot but get there at 5:40 with metal and get turned away but yet the sign still says on the door 6 o'clock and 545 I told the guy at gate 4 minutes he said no
guess what you won't see me there again
Dont waste your time with the others recycling companies they look you like you are no body and tread you the same way .

.Today I went to sell cans, the Chinese man who is at the scale was attending to a disabled person and annoyed tells him help me that it is not my garbage it is yours. What an abusive man, if he is working, it is to serve clients and even more so when the person is disabled, he does not have to tell him to help him.
Very good place the employees actually educate you on the metals and help you way better than any other place, I enjoy going here because they really do take care of the customers in my eyes
Feel that the presious medal department is unfare with pricing.
Also, got told my cat. was just a muffler, I took it off myself, needless to say, was not muffler..
Great prices, poor customer service. Lady at front desk super rude and wouldn't take a passport saying the need a state issued ID. Which goes to show how stupid she is, passports are issued by department of state
I don't recycle often, so I found Phoenix Recycling to be easy to use, helpful with sorting and profitable (I got more than I expected). I will definitely go back!
Very rude, had problem with service, my son told them he dislocated his shoulder handling the parts he was going to recycle, he was ignored. The "manager" i called talked over me and would not listen, he laughed as he thought it was funny. Now I'm at the ER with my son waiting to get his shoulder reduced. There are other choices of places to recycle, don't go here.

I took 78lbs of scrap aluminum to their competitor off Shiloh Rd in Garland got a low ball price decided to try Phoenix they gave me 20% more for the same stuff! If you would like extra CA$H go here!
